This textbook was extremely beneficial to my understanding of what families are comprised of, how they interact, what my role as a family member is, and so many other things. I read most of this textbook during a course that I took as an elective at my current college last semester, and after reading this textbook, it is definitely one that I would recommend to absolutely anyone. It was extremely informational and helpful in terms of understanding not only my family as a whole, but of other families and also myself as an individual. The author also provided countless examples from her own life to help the readers of her textbook grasp the concepts, ideas, and theories that she was compelled to write about. Although the entirety of this book wasn't covered through my course, it was still without a doubt an amazing read.
