Rate this book
Tomorrow, a man will buy me and slip a silver collar over my neck. This is my story. The story of a woman who is willing to trade a year of her life for the freedom to do anything. And the beautiful man that will capture more than my body.A man that is just as broken as I am.But first, I must be trained.Pain and punishment. Bondage and submission.I’ll be stripped bare and used every day, taught to be the perfect plaything.I was prepared for this. I had accepted the agony and ecstasy as my future. But nothing will prepare my heart for the man who shows me that there is a beauty in the breaking. This is a 35,000 word novella that features adult situations between the heroine and the three Masters who will teach her. This story is meant for 18+ readers as consensual BDSM is a central theme with many graphic scenes. This is a standalone book with an HEA.

I've never read anything by Lexie Syrah before, but I can't wait to read more. Lily isn't satisfied with her life, it's direction, and past decisions. Working at Elysium, a BDSM club as a waitress, she sees how the submissives have an inner peace that she desperately wants. She decides to sign up for an intensive slave training course offered by the owner of the club and ends with the newly trained slave entering into a lucrative 6 month to year long contract with a master. At the end of the contract, the slave walks away substantially richer and during all that time, she'll have a master thing care of her. Great plan, until she meets Master Liam one of the trainers at Risen, the slave training facility. I love the relationships Lily develops with all her trainers and the chemistry sizzled with Master Liam. The book was well paced, characters compelling, and a page turner from start to finish. I hope this series continues, the Masters are an interesting group. Great read.

Predictable, But Oh, So Good!

This was a wonderfully enjoyable read despite being able to see the ending from a mile away. It was also enjoyable despite the many errors. There were a number of sentences that were missing words, some sentences with extra words, and even a few sentences that made absolutely no sense. I can only assume that this was due to some typos that changed the intended words into words into something else, making it confusing. Nevertheless, I loved the story! I was so excited at the end to see that you could get some bonus chapters that gave a glimpse into Master Liam and Lily's new life together if you signed up for Lexie Syrah's newsletter. I happily clicked on the link on to have my excitement dampened by a dead link! I have never been so disappointed. I would LOVE to get my hands on that bonus material as I always hate it when books end without getting to see even the tiniest glimpse of the characters living their HEA.

Rise

Different than many stories on bdsm. Liked how it was a training program before you went to a master Plus the trainers where very different masters in how they trained

Dull

This book glossed over the training, no depth of characters and a weak plot.
Read reviews of authors other books and seems reviewer's feel the same lack of depth and details.
