It's good but seems to be more of an interlude than a complete story. Mia's control and power continue to grow. Her relationship with the rest of her crew (Zander, Carson, Vivi, and Luna) deepens as does that with a few other faculty, staff, and students at Elmhurst Academy. Cassia makes several appearances. Some rather nasty events occur among a few pleasant ones.
For the most part, the writing style is clean yet it gets a bit pedantic from time to time. Overall, it makes me want to know what happens in the third title. So, I'd say, it did its job.

Action-packed. Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Haunting. Scary. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.

The second is equal to if not better than the first

So much for a productive weekend - it won't hurt too much if the lawns don't get mowed this week. Book 3 is out and demanding my attention.

Awesome book!

What an awesome second novel in this series! Mia is really coming into her powers and may be finding out where she comes from. The covers are kickass too. I can't wait to see what happens next! Keep churning out the awesome stories, Jen!
