To become the powerful and strong athlete that Kai is, he’s had to give up everything. This hot and muscled Maori man lives for rugby and nothing else.
Every inch of his tattooed, burly body is built only for the brutal game, not for tender romance.

That is, until a cute and curvy young woman captures his attention more than rugby ever has.

Suddenly, Kai wants more than just to win every match he can. He wants her – every voluptuous inch of her. And he wants her all to himself.

There’s just one problem.

That sweet and supple little beauty that he has his dark eye on just so happens to be his best friend’s little sister.

Jade and her brother are each other’s only family... but she’s been lusting for her brother’s sexy best friend since she can remember.

She thinks there must be more to Kai than his hard, gruff shell would belie, but is she willing to betray her brother to be with the man of her dreams?
Kai knows every complex detail and rule when it comes to rugby, but he’s about to find out that love is the most complicated game of all.

Kai is the second book in the NZ Rugby Romance series, but each of these short and spicy sports romances can be read and enjoyed all on their own. With no cliffhangers or cheating, expect a sizzling but sweet love story featuring rugged athletes and their feisty heroines finding happily after!

This steamy short story is approx. 7500 words long and is set in New Zealand and feature kiwi word usage and slang - you've been warned :)♥

Eva Foxx has written a short 5-star book. Jade goes to get her brother so they can go to their special spot to remember their parents. Kia and Ryder are both rugby players and Kai is in love with Ryder's little sister Jade, he knows it won't go anywhere because of who she is. Jade thinks that Kai doesn't like her since whenever she is close to him he turns away from her or walks away. Ryder tells Jade that he has promised Jax another teammate that he would help him with some extra drills so he has to bail out on her. Ryder sees Kai and calls him over to them. Once Kai gets to them he tells him that they had plans but he has to bail and would Kai take her. Kai tells Ryder that he would. Once they are in Kai's car he heads toward town, Jade tells him that they needed to be going in the other direction and she can tell him the way. When they get to where they are going things heat up between them after they talk for a few minutes. They neither one know how to tell Ryder about them so they keep it a secret for a while. Ryder comes home early one night and catches them together and he gets upset at Kai. Kai tells him that he has loved Jade for a long time and that he would never hurt her. Jade tells Ryder that he can't tell her who she can date, or what she is going to do with her life. She tells him that she applied to nursing school in which he told her was a bad ideal. It takes Ryder a little while to come to terms that Jade and Kai are together but they he is happy for them. On the next anniversary of their parents' passing Jade and Kai are at her special spot and Ryder shows up. She is so happy to see him there. She tells Kai and Ryder that she has some news that she needs to tells them. Jade and Kai have been together for a year and she tells Kai and Ryder that she is pregnant.
How will Kai and Ryder react to the news of Jade being pregnant?
Will Jade get her Happy Ever After with Kai?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

I received a free ARC copy in exchange for a honest review.

Kai is a pro rugby player in New Zealand and the love of his life is Jade. Unfortunately she is also the baby sister of his teammate and best friend, Ryder. She doesn't know about his feelings, nor he know hers. Kai goes as far as avoiding Jade just so that he doesn't have to see her as it makes his heart hurt.

When they finally reveal their true feelings to each other, their romance while steamy is very sweet. He supports her in following her dreams. He sees her as a woman rather than a little girl, like her brother. What will happen when Ryder finds out that they are hiding a relationship? Will he disown Jade like Kai's father did to him? Will he lose his best friend and Jade her brother, the only family she has left?

This quick read is book two in A NZ Rugby Romance. There's mention of Jax and his mystery woman who are from book one, Jaxon. Other than that reference and the same characters in both books, the order isn't important. This happily ever after romance is like a first love. It will make your heart warm.

Jade and Kai have wanted one another forever but her older brother - who also happens to be his best friend - has unknowingly kept them apart. To the point that Jade thinks Kai dislikes her for some reason. But when Ryder asks Kai to take Jade home from their rugby practice, neither can deny their feelings any longer. Kai and Jade are smoking hot and steamy together, but also really very sweet.

I quite enjoyed my introduction to the writing of Eva Foxx and will have to go check out the preceding books in her NZ Rugby Romance series.

A sports romance that will leave you with a smile on your face. Jade's brother Ryder does not have time to keep a date with her one night, so he asks his best friend, Kai to go with her. They end up in the woods by a pond, where Jade and Ryder usually go every year to go remember the passing of their parents. This time was different as Kai and Jade admit they have had feelings for each other for years. They hide it from Ryder for a very short time before he discovers them. Ryder has to accept that Jade has grown up and let her make her own decisions.

This is the second book of the NZ Rugby Romance story that is a short, fast, page turning read that will have you on an emotional ride. This story is about Kai and Jade who had known each other forever due to Kai being the best friend of Jade’s brother. Kai and Jade had feelings for each other but never told the other how they felt towards each other until one day Jade asked Kai why he hated her. Will Kai reveal how he really feels about Jade? Will Jade’s brother end his friendship with Kai when he finds out how he feels about Jade?

Kai has been in love with his best friend’s sister for a long time but has never acted on it. Jade feels the same. When circumstances give them the opportunity to be alone will they finally share their secret longings? I liked - dual POV, hidden feelings and that Jade decided to take control of her own life. The Australian slang took some getting used to but it was a positive learning experience. The story goes from 0-60 quickly and packs in many emotional moments - love, loss, acceptance, forgiveness and growth. Entertaining romance!

Great story. Love story that started years ago when both character first meet. Jade has loved Kai forever but thinks he hates her cause he won't talk to her and leaves the room when she's there. Kai has loved Jade forever and has to leave because if he doesn't he's going to grab her and run. His best friend Ryder won't like that much. These two are so cute and I love the way they stick together to tell Ryder of their love. Very short story but good. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Who is more irresistible than someone you get to spend time around because they are significant to someone who means a lot to you? I think that is why I like brother's best friend/ little sister romance stories. Kai is Jade's brother Ryder's bestie. Ryder and Jade are all they have left after their parents die so he is protective. Jade really loves Kai. Oh mercy! Although this is a short story it is packed and emotional and worth the read!

Kai is like family to Ryker and his sister Jade, problem is he does not have brotherly feeling for Jade. Not wanting to damage his relationship with Ryker, Kai has stayed away from her. Jade has an eye for Kai, but the way he acts she feels like he does not like her. If they get together, how will Ryker react?

Kai and Jade's story is a sweet tale of family, longing, passion and friendship that will melt your heart. I enjoyed the quick read and can't wait for the next book in the series.

This story is very short and fun to read. It is also very easy to read. The storyline is beautiful and the characters are just so fine and sweet. Of course in such a short story there is no room for any deviations or extended stories within the story. It is more or less information and insta-everything else. Overall just a beautiful story and one deserving of the fine four stars I am giving it here.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Kai and Jade. Jade and Ryder lost their parents and they only have each other. Kai is Ryder's best friend and they play rugby together. Kai and Jade have both been harboring crushes for years but because of Ryder, they have denied it. Now they are getting the chance to explore a relationship. Great HEA

The storyline was enjoyable, though the tension between the two characters felt a little rushed and cut short. Even so, it reminded me just how much I love a good slow burn… the anticipation, the chemistry, and the way a relationship unfolds. This book was exactly what I needed: a quick, satisfying romance to keep me entertained at work while I waited to dive into my other book at lunch. That said, the first book was definitely the better one of the two. On to the next!

This wonderfully written book 2 in the NZ Rugby Series was intriguing brothers best friend love story as it had some very well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists and turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It is a fast-paced, good book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. I am will be on the lookout for books and series by this Author
