Liam Grey avoids attachments at all costs. With his own demons to fight, he sticks to relocating shifters in trouble, not playing social worker. But when beautiful, fragile Natasha shows up desperate for more than just a place to stay, his inner wolf howls for a chance to give—and be—everything she needs.

Liam has his hands full keeping Natasha safe– from other shifters and from his own desire. But when someone from Natasha past tracks her down, Liam will have to push beyond the brink to keep her for himself—or lose her for good.

Contains an Alpha who can’t help sticking his nose in where it’s not wanted, and a feisty female who secretly wishes he’d rethink his paws-off policy.

A totally fine paranormal romance.

I read this story in anticipation of Book Lovers Con, where I try to read as many authors attending as possible.

I read a lot of shifter romance, and this one was pleasant but wasn't a stand-out. It's novella length, which is a hard length for me to develop a believable romance, but I think the author did a good job with it. I felt the resolution was too simplistic, and it could have been more fleshed out, but it was a story worth my time.

This was an ok book. I liked the characters and the drama, but it seemed very anticlimactic and everything just resolved itself into a pretty package. The doubt in trusting others seemed to vanish and the I don't want to love fell away. The "book" to me was barely a book at 148 pages. So I guess that is why it seemed to wrap up fast. The book wasn't bad there just wasn't enough causing it to feel rushed and incomplete. The price is outrageous $4.50 for that many pages. I would pass you aren't missing anything great!

I enjoyed this story about werewolves (Blood Lines and Bittens). The story starts out with a woman being chased through the woods by an Alpha in waiting wolf that wants to bond with her. She gets away and makes it to California, and finds a new wolf named Liam. They are great together, and there is a HEA in this story.

**This review is based on the newest edition that has added content and a new cover. **

Like the original review, this story really grabs readers’ attention from the very beginning as it starts off with a thrilling and intense scene and just keeps going from there in this fast paced plot that flows smoothly from one scene to the next. Natasha and Liam are strong, compelling characters that not only draws readers in but Liam has a bit of a mysterious air about him that really makes readers want to know of his secrets. Their romance is quite feisty as they fight their attraction for various reasons but the sizzling chemistry between them makes the attraction burn hotter and hotter.

There is lots of tension and thrilling suspense throughout the story as Natasha tries to start a new life in hiding but worry over her family makes it hard and making new friends while wondering at motivations makes it even more difficult. Then of course the bad situation that she was running from to begin with explodes in a spectacular way adding exhilarating action to the story. The added content makes this story flow more smoothly and gives the reader a better reading experience of an exciting story in a fascinating world that I can’t wait to visit again.

Previous Review:

Natasha Moon is running for her life and the lone wolf who helps her get to safety may draw her like a magnet but to him she’s just another female he thinks he can boss around in this thrilling paranormal romance. The author based this series on shifters that need to be relocated because they are in trouble and let me tell you that this story has the suspense grabbing a hold of the readers from the very beginning and it refused to let me go until I had read every last word, so I can’t wait to read the next one.

This is the first book in this great series. Night Shift Relocation Corp. is the place to turn to if you are a shifter and need hiding, much like the Witness Protection Program in our human world. Run by a group of former military shifter that feel that even the paranormal sometimes need hiding from evil in the world.

Natasha Moon has been preparing for this eventuality for a long time, but now that she if faced with the reality it's a whole new ballgame. Her parents insisted she be prepared, but now it's hard for her to leave all that she has known to enter a new world especially away from all that she has ever known in Wolf River. But she has to flee from an evil alpha's son that has murdered her parents and insists she is his mate.

Liam helps relocate runners, ,he is paying it forward, but is still reeling from a brutal past that haunts him. Now he is charged with helping a she wolf that has him reeling with other feelings, feelings he swore off years ago for fear of reliving the horrors his mother had to face. Will Natasha be his end, or his salvation?

Great intrigue and true love. Believe in yourself and face your fears.

Natasha Moon narrowly escapes (and I do mean escapes) a forced mating to a nasty shifter only to find everything she's ever been missing in the man who's sent to rescue her. Liam Grey is a lone wolf and likes it that way, but something about Natasha brings out his protective Alpha side...

I picked this up as an ARC because I'm a huge fan of this genre, but Ganiere was a new-to-me author. Plus the cover is pretty cool, am I right?

I really enjoyed Promised at the Moon . The characters were very sweet; especially Liam. After initially being a bit gruff and standoffish, he was ultimately really protective and gentle with Natasha - it was adorable! He has an interesting story to tell as to why he's a lone wolf, and both that and Natasha's ongoing storyline kept me interested and enjoying the read.

As I said, the romance was sweet and I think that was my favourite part. As PNRs go this was a lighter version without so much of the dark and gritty violence that can often accompany them, so if you're in the mood to read a feel-good PNR, this one would be ideal.

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is the fourth Rebekah R. Ganiere book I've read and I continue to be impressed. I really enjoyed this book. Natasha is in an awful situation that has her running from her pack, her family. Liam is part of the operation set to set her up in a new life. Right from the start there is something between Liam and Natasha (Asha) that Liam has never felt before. He finds himself drawn to this woman. That only increases when members of a local pack start to show interest in her at college, once of which Liam considers his enemy and dangerous. Everything gets super interesting as Liam tries to fight his feelings for her but can't stand to have her around Clint, making staying away from her mighty difficult. I really enjoyed the characters in this book. They are very well fleshed-out, each with their own demons to face. Liam is genuinely a good man, regardless of how much he has told himself otherwise. He is independent, choosing to be a lone (Alpha) wolf, and determined to help the people who come to the agency with the need to escape. Natasha is a sweet girl. While she is independent and can definitely stand up for herself, she has a good heart. She finds herself in a strange new place, alone for the first time in her life, assuming her parents were just killed, and is expected (by Liam) to just start her new life. To move on. As Liam fights his feelings for Natasha, he sends her a lot of mixed signals, eventually coming to the conclusion that he isn't good enough for her and inadvertently sending her off with the previously mentioned pack for the full moon. Worried for his safety, he finally decides he needs to go talk to her only to find her gone and her roommate bound and gagged in the basement. Natasha is in danger and she doesn't know it. Thankfully Liam is able to find her and Clint isn't the evil man Liam always thought him to be and the battle to save Natasha commences. Ganiere packed plenty of surprises into the book for us. When it comes down to it, things are largely not what they seem. This is a book about perseverance (and plain stubbornness at times). About relationships and how they play an important role in each of our lives. This book was a lot of fun to read. It starts with and includes near the end some violent action scenes, but nothing graphic. Regardless, I would never at any point in the book classify the mood as just plain 'dark'. There is one love scene near the end that is very tasteful and not graphic either. The book has a HEA ending (with a very happy reunion!) and no cliffhanger. Happy reading!

Promised at the Moon (Shifter Rising #1) by Rebekah R. Ganiere Promised at the Moon by Rebekah R. Ganiere is an excellent start to the Shifter Rising Series.  Natasha Moon escaped an unwelcome mating and winds up at a safe house in California through Night Shift Relocation Corporation.  She is helped by lone wolf, Liam Grey, who finds a need to protect her.  This contemporary PNR is suitable for New adult and adult audiences.

I like Natasha. With the help of her parents and Night Shift Relocation Corporation, she left everything behind to escape her ex-boyfriend, Daniel.  She has a difficult time dealing with not knowing what happened to her parents and feels lost without them and her pack.  Liam is an alpha/lone wolf.  He feels the need to protect Natasha, even from herself.  The two have fantastic chemistry.  There are numerous twists that make Natasha’s adjustment to her new life a challenge.  Daniel is persistent and makes a good adversary.  Promised at the Moon is a fast read that is difficult to put down.

Compared to other werewolf books that I have read, the werewolves in this book were pretty tame, sort of like a werewolf-lite version. Despite this I did enjoy reading about Liam struggling with his inner demons and Natasha’s anxiety about having to start over, the threat of Daniel, and not knowing about her parents. The POV switched between Liam and Natasha, so you could get a good grasp on each of their insecurities about their past and each other. This was an okay read, I prefer a bit more back-story/lore when I read about paranormal beings, but if a person is looking for paranormal romance-lite this would be a good book.

I love Rebekah's stories. She has become one of my favorite writers because she creates worlds and stories that are so easy to fall into and picture. There are solid plots and interesting characters but the storyline is believable and never over the top.

Leaving your life behind is hard and Asha portrays this perfectly is this story. While she has gained strength from her past as Natasha she still has weak moments. And when her past reappears she's going to have to be even stronger to make the right decisions.

Liam is a lone Alpha who is trying to be better than his past. Helping others is a way to not only give back but to be a better person. 'An Alpha by default, not by right' he feels he's not good enough but his wolf wants what it wants!

This story started off with action, suspense and danger and it swept me right along for the ride. We get to see how the network to help shifters relocate is set up, through both Liam and Natasha's perspectives, which I found gave good depth to the story. The support was cool to see, but in amongst Liam and Asha's secrets, danger follows. The romance between them was sweet and built slowly, despite their chemistry, making me fret that an HEA was going to happen. Good fun! I liked how this shifter world was set up, showcasing both blood born and bitten wolves. There are many differences between the two, along with politics about those differences. It was interesting and a different way to look at shifters.

This is my 2nd visit to a piece by this author and I must admit I like her writings.
Placed nicely in the gentle paranormal romance genre (ie very little strong language or graphic scenes), Ms Ganiere writes with a relaxed style, making this book easy to pick up and read and not have to concentrate too much yet still enjoy a nice read!

🌟🌟🌟🌟SPOILERS ALERT🌟🌟🌟🌟

We are literally thrown right into the story with our female lead running for her life.  We are given small clues but when a wolf steps out before she can get into her escape car the reason becomes clear.

Effectively going into a shifter witness protection scheme, Natasha (or Asha or she will go from here), is placed with Liam - a wolf who has helped many a wolf in their hour of need.  Cara lives in the same house with Liam and a sibling bond has grown between them.

Asha is distraught at the fact she may have lost her parents. She was told to remove her battery from her phone as she left and she did and has burners now. But she can't seem to do anything but watch her phones. Liam and Cara help bring her out of shock.

Starting at a community college with them, Asha is shocked to be approached by wolves, led by Clint, who is very keen on her.

Jealousy rockets thru Liam....also slamming home the fact that his feelings for Asha are more than just friendship.  But he doesn't know what to do. He throws out mixed signals, confusing and angering Asha - leading her to be in danger....

Liams feelings may well be coming from the heart but his stubbornness could cause Asha to be wide open to possibly falling into the grasp of the wolf she's in hiding from....

A good start to a new series which I hope will be built upon! It's got mild to strong language, only one actual sizzling sex scene, although the chemistry and tension does build thru the book. Strictly by the book situations, no cheating or any other harsh conditions in the book.
Definitely aimed at the adults market and definitely recommended if you fancy an easy read and a quick easy new world to imagine!

From the very first page, Promised at the Moon grabs hold of the reader and doesn’t let go. The opening scene is thrilling and intense, setting the stage for a fast-paced, smoothly flowing plot packed with action, suspense, and romance. Rebekah R. Ganiere masterfully balances tension and passion, making it impossible to put the book down.
Natasha and Liam are strong, compelling characters, each with their own struggles and secrets. Liam, in particular, carries a mysterious air that makes him all the more intriguing. Their romance is fiery and passionate, filled with tension as they try to fight their undeniable attraction. But with sizzling chemistry between them, resistance proves futile, and their connection only deepens with every moment they share.
The world-building is immersive, with unique paranormal elements that feel believable and seamlessly woven into the story. Natasha’s journey to escape a forced mate bond and start anew is riddled with obstacles, making for a suspenseful and emotionally charged read. The danger she fled from doesn’t stay in the past for long, leading to an explosive confrontation that had me on the edge of my seat.
Ganiere doesn’t just create an enthralling main storyline—she teases the reader with intriguing side characters who beg for their own stories to be told. I was particularly fascinated by Tate from Night Shift Relocation Services and can’t wait to learn more about him and others introduced along the way.
Overall, this was a fantastic start to the Wolf River series. The mix of suspense, action, and romance kept me hooked from start to finish, and I’m eager to dive into the next book. If you love paranormal romance with strong characters, gripping tension, and steamy chemistry, Promised at the Moon is a must-read.

The opening scene of PROMISED AT THE MOON is truly heart-pounding, and I was kept riveted throughout the story until every predicament plays out. Rebekah R. Ganiere has created an emotional romance, where the paranormal aspects seem very believable while any characters are also convincing. The author givens her werewolves their own special traits, and I was drawn into each compelling event that occurred in their lives.

With the aid of Night Shift Relocation Services, werewolf Natasha Moon is able to escape her fate of being mated to a member of a rival pack. After reaching the place in California where she can hopefully hide, she must rely on strangers to remain safe. Liam Grey is the werewolf who will oversee getting her new life underway, and he plans to treat her like any other shifter who needs to work out a problem. Though he knows letting himself become personally entangled in her troubles should not happen, yet it is difficult to stay away, especially if he perceives a threat.

As I came to understand what drove Liam and Natasha to respond as they did, I felt my connection to them continuing to increase. Both have a reason to not be involved with anyone, yet every time they are near one another, their relationship becomes closer. Sincere feelings are expressed by these two, and their honest reactions to any incident that takes place made these characters come across as realistic. I really adored Liam, with his protective nature and compassion toward others. Rebekah R. Ganiere makes her paranormal story seem genuinely conceivable at all times, and I am glad there are additional books in the Wolf River series. Rating: 4.5 Stars

A well-written shifter romance. In the Wolf River series there are two types of shifters – those who are Blood Born and those who were Bitten. Natasha is a Blood Born shifter on the run from a promised mating to Daniel. Finally realizing it would not be a good mating, an escape plan to Malibu, California, had been prearranged by her parents with the help of the Night Shift Relocation Corporation, an organization that helps shifters relocate away from their packs. Natasha’s escape, however, was nearly foiled by Daniel and may even have cost her parents their lives.
Liam, a motorcycle-riding representative of the Night Shift Relocation Corporation is also a Blood Born shifter. His job is to help Natasha, now Asha, acclimate herself into society and move on with her new life. He moves her in with Cara, a Bitten shifter, who eventually becomes her very good friend. It’s a difficult road for Asha as she continually mourns her parents. We learn about Liam’s past while he and Asha become closer, and they feel a strong pull towards each other – something neither was expecting and neither wants. And when Daniel eventually finds Natasha, will Liam be able to keep her safe? You’ll have to read to find out.
I’m always amazed by the imaginative world-building by authors of the paranormal genre, and I can tell this series is no exception. I really enjoyed Natasha’s journey and how her and Liam’s relationship evolved. I’m looking forward to getting into the next story.

PROMISED AT THE MOON is the first book in the Wolf River series. They will each stand on their own, but I highly recommend reading them all.

I just finished reading this book and could not wait to sit down and tell you how much I loved it. There is a sneak peek at the second book and I cannot wait to get my hands on it as well!

The plot is marvelously suspenseful right from the first paragraph and never lets go. I have fallen in love with Liam, Natasha, and Cara. I’m so happy for the ending for Liam and Natasha. I hope we return for Cara in a future book. In fact, I hope we return for a few more of the characters that I wasn’t sure I liked at first, but turned out … well, I don’t want to give anything away. Let’s leave it at: I loved a lot more of the characters than I thought I would at first.

Rebekah Ganiere has created a wonderful world for her wolves. It is inventive and fresh. I am looking forward to returning here soon.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

This book grabs you from the very beginning and doesn't let go! This book is all about one woman's fight to find her freedom. This story will take you on one hell of a journey of discovery and a rollercoaster of emotions.

Natasha is on the run from Daniel who Daniel will stop at nothing to possess her. She had agreed to the mate with him when she was fifteen but changed her mind when he changed.
Liam is employed by Night Shift Relocation. They are former Marines who help shifters that are in trouble, like a shifter witness protection program.

The characters need to deal with multiple issues from their past and still try to find a future. The story between these two has everything you could possibly want in a romance, drama, love, danger, humor, loyalty, passion and best of all a wonderful HEA. I encourage you to grab this book and give it a try. If you love hot shifter men with strong protective instincts, then this book is definitely for you.

Book 1 of the Wolf River series.

Story teaser:

Twenty year old Natasha is awakened in the middle of the night and her mother hands her a bug-out bag and urges her to run. Her ex-boyfriend won’t give up on her and now her family is under attack. A voice through her headphones guides her along an escape route. The voice belongs to Tate, from Night Shift, a shifter relocation service. Tate and her contact Liam may be her only hope to get through this alive.

Liam helps get Natasha established in a new town and enrolled at a community college. He and Cara, her new roommate, help her adjust to a new life, but she can’t help worrying about her parents and wondering if her ex is still looking for her.

Despite their plans, Liam and Natasha are attracted to each other. But they’ve both been hurt before and don’t know if they can trust again.

Opinions:

I really enjoyed the book. The plot had lots of action and suspicious characters so you didn’t know who to trust or what their motives are. It was a good foundation to the series and I look forward to reading more.

Being the first female born to her family in many generations, Natasha was loved and protected by all her family and pack.
Daniel was the son of the Alpha from a pack that had joined living in Wolf River who was picked on as a kid and Natasha befriended him. They made a pack to be mated when they were 15 and then Daniel changed. When Natasha refused to mate him, she went on the run with the help of her family.
Liam works to help relocate shifters in need. When he meets Asha (Natasha) his wolf perks up as it has never done before. Asha is affected also but is so vulnerable she pushes any thoughts of happiness away.
They both have deep, dark secrets they must overcome. Watch how they do even at the cost of possibly losing the one who means the most to them.
This book will grab you from the first page to the last and keep you glued to it never wanting the story to end. I highly recommend this book.

Fantastic Read

This book is all about one woman's fight to find her freedom after she promised something to a guy when she was 15. This book will take you on one hell of a journey of discovery or maybe a rollercoaster of emotions.

One minute you are holding your breathe hoping she will get away from danger and the next minute you find yourself fanning yourself over a got shifter man. You can feel the woman's emotions just rolling on the page. You can feel her need to hear from her parents, and then her feelings for tgis man she just met.

One minute your laughing and the the tears are rolling down your face. Then your yelling at the author for dragging her characters thru all the pain. But my saying always is....If your not on an emotional rollercoaster then it's not worth reading.

Come and pick up this book and enjoy the ride.

Until Next Time....Tabi

A new author for me and I wasn't disappointed. I "discovered" Rebekah. R. Ganiere on a newsletter promo and for the chance to read this, the first in the Wolf River series.
This is an enticing introduction, I was gripped from the first page! I was so glad that I hadn't got anything planned when I started reading this book as I couldn't put it down! It was a struggle to break in to my reading to make a coffee!!
The book starts with Natasha running through the woods listening to a voice giving her instructions as she runs.
The story is somewhat different, with an in-depth story that I happen to enjoy, not your run of the mill romance.
I would really recommend you give this author and this book a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Me? I'm off to get the next book in the series, the preview was very tempting!

This is Liam and Natasha's story . Nat is running her family is being attacked and her parents have drilled into her head what she HAS to do . We meet the a-wipe at the car she is directed to . Of course she is lost in grief knowing that he has had her parents killed and after she finally gets into the car ( gotta love what happened here ) and headed to where she is supposed to go she doesn't destroy her phone as she was told too . Her contact is Liam and he does all he can to help her to adjust to everything that is going on . We meet Clint , who at first I was not sure of but , while she is in class . After deciding to go on a full moon run with Clint and his friends this is where the story really seems to take off and never stops ! I was given this ARC and at first was not sure about it but boy am I glad I kept reading !! And that is why I had to come a leave a review !!

I was gripped from start to finish with this story. Natashas turmoil was so suspenseful, I was waiting on baited breath to find out what would happen next, could she ever find her HEA? Liam and Cara where such good friends to her and I wanted to shout at her to trust them and let them in. Liam was such a kind hearted soul and the fact that he was a biker was even better in my opinion 😍 watching Natasha and Liam form a friendship was so heartwarming, I was rooting for them from the start. Daniel and his band of followers made me furious. Clint Brock and Rock are great, their friendship with Natasha and their banter together was really intriguing and I enjoyed getting to know them, I hope we get to learn more. A suspenseful, heartwarming and gripping read. I'll defiantly be picking up the next book in the series.

This book was a suspenseful and intense read, right out of the gate!! I enjoyed the slow introduction to other characters and their backstory as the book went on. Sometimes it's complete chaos to be introduced to so many character, motivations and background information all at once. It's much harder to keep track of the players in the game that way. It was fun to wonder if the main character should be trusting the people she's meeting and I liked that the book was a suspenseful drama about starting over somewhere new and trying to keep you head down and off the radar. It was a very interesting take on a story. And of course you have hot shifter men to add to the mix of drama, tension, suspense and romance!!

This book grabs you from the very beginning and doesn't let go!
Natasha is on the run from Daniel who thinks that she should be mated to him. He is next in line for Alpha and is a blood born wolf like she is. She dated Daniel and agreed to the mating when she was fifteen but has since changed her mind because of his personality changes.
Liam is employed by Night Shift Relocation. They are former Marines help shifters who are in trouble. Liam has had trouble in the past that Night Shift helped him with. He helps out others in order to "pay it forward".
This story is full of excitement and adventure as well as a love story. I encourage you to grab this book and give it a try. If you love hot shifter men with strong protective instincts then this book is definitely for you.

This is the first book I have read by this author. I love paranormal romances and shifter romances are my favorite. This book was amazing it drew me into the story right from the very beginning. Natasha is a blood born wolf shifter who is running from danger. Liam is the strong, sexy alpha wolf who is helping her settle into her new life away from danger. This story has everything you could possibly want in a romance, love, danger, humor, sensual moments and best of all a wonderful HEA. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormal romances. I also highly recommend this author to you I am sure you will love her books as much as I did be sure to pick up a copy you'll be glad you did.
