First off, as an FYI you don't necessarily need to have read the previous books in this brilliant series. However it will definitely give you a better understanding of some of the characters and the complex world building. Plus they're all flat out amazing and fun reads 😉.
This gem is no different as its filled with alpha males and strong, intelligent, amazing females. There's excitement, intrigue, a shady character or two, and a rollercoaster of emotions throughout. All in all a friggin rip roaring time! I love each and every book in this series, and can it wait for book six. There's certainly never a dull moment within any of these reads.
I did really enjoy reading this book, but not quite as much as I have the rest in the series and the pace of the story didn’t quite flow for me.
Spoilers…..
I liked the characters and could get behind Wade and his love of space travel and where it came from but I struggled with Arial a lot. Her being a rocket scientist and giving it all up to make coffee just didn’t seem to gel, even though I kind of got her reasons for it.
I also felt that a good portion of the beginning of the book was dedicated to her declaring Link was the only man who would ever hold her heart and he was irreplaceable, and she even mooted faking a relationship with Wade to please her family. That whole notion was dropped so quickly and Link was barely even mentioned throughout the rest of the book except to build tension because she hadn’t told Wade who he was…and even that didn’t really come to a dramatic peak. I also got a bit lost with Jared buying Vernount and it seemed like he had used Arial to engineer this by convincing her to share information with him using the pretext of helping Wade and getting justice for Link.
The whole 7 months in space piece came and went for me too, it seemed like they had barely decided to give it a go than he was gone and then suddenly he was on his way back.
The story contained lots of really interesting twists and turns, perhaps too many to keep track of which is maybe where I got lost…
Despite this I did enjoy it and the return of previous characters was good to see

Okay luckily this is a stand alone however, this book really intrigued me so now I will be going back to read the previous books in the series. So here I was reading about Wade and Arial. Now Arial is a smart chick and she used to work for a company that used her designs to send people into space. However, she is no longer doing that because she lost her husband years back. She lost her drive, but is picking herself up and trying to live her life as an owner to a coffee shop. She works herself to the bone but still manages to make time for her friends. Wade keeps coming into the coffee shop and trying to strike up a conversation with her. He seems to like her and wants to see if they can be something more. He is also an astronaut too. He decides to take a job with the place that Arial used to work at. She doesn't talk about it because of some circumstances. Their first date was good until it wasn't. It was crazy and sad all at the same time. I gotta say that I was hooked within the first couple of chapters and wanted to know what was going to happen. Will Arial finally give love another chance? What will happen when Wade goes on his mission? Then you have the past of both Wade and Arial looming over their heads. Will they get a happily ever after? You need to check it out to find out what happens.
So Arial lost her husband on a space mission and we meet her 5 years later. She used to work at the company in charge of the mission her husband was on and because nobody listened to her it went wrong so she quit and now owns a restaurant.
Wade is leaving the company from all the other books to go work at the company that Arial blames for killing her husband because they have a mission to mars ready to go.
Throughout the first half of the book all she thinks about is her husband. How much she loves him still. How she will never move on and will be loyal to him forever, even his parents tell her thats dumb but shes dead set on been a widow forever.
The she meets Wade. They go on a date and have sex that night, she freeks out the next morning and runs off. She is convinced byt people around her to give Wade a chance so they go on a second date, have sex again then declare there in love. She moved on pretty quick to be fair. Only 2 dates and she was over her dead husband
So the mission to mars is a go and it turns out they are using her maths that they should have used before. I dont know if i could date someone who was going on the exact same mission that killed my husband.
So they go on two dates, declare there love then he leaves for 7 months! They talk while he is gone and they make plans for when he is back but its not the best foundation for a new relationship.
Obviously it goes wrong on the way back and she has to jump in and save them all. Wow it was so predictable.
Then out of nowhere his ex goes crazy. Then its over. No epilogue.
Even though this was an easy read it was a mess

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Arial and Wade meet and quickly fall but there are issues. Arial still is not quite ready to move on from her husband's death and Wade words for the man Arial blames for Link's death. They work through both issues and Wade leaves for a dangerous mission that was the same as the one Link died on. When things go wrong, Arial steps in and saves the day. After when Wade's ex tries to kill her, he saves her. I liked the plans that and Arial make together. The best is the boss gets what he deserves.
Two companies, one to be the first on Mars at all costs, the other wants to win but wants it’s astronauts to be safe. Arial’s husband was on the crew for the first company that didn’t make it. She left the industry to open her own coffee shop when her wisdom was dismissed and her husband died. She is falling for another astronaut, now working for the first company. Will he make it back? Nicely written but the ending seemed rushed after the big buildup. Still an enjoyable reading story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Loving this series! Each book has been so different from the last. I love the varied cast of characters and how the couples eagerly engage in meddling with their single friends relationships because they want everyone to be as happy as they are. Wade and Ariel’s story was a littleEmotional as she struggled to move on after losing her husband to a failed space mission. Wade is the first man to catch her attention since she lost the love of her life, but he’s an astronaut too, and she might lose him to the same mission she lost her husband to.
Some readers may not notice but ones that are reading this book directly after book 4 will notice the names being wrong. I understand that a lot of authors work on multiple projects but they should maybe consider doing some quick checks or maybe keep notes about the previous projects. In the last book Drake was the deceased husband and Link was the friend In thus book the author has it reversed....details are important.
This is a great book. Lots of drama and suspense and very emotional. The beautiful, widowed coffee shop owner, Arial, and hunky do or Ed astronaut, Wade is featured in this book. We also get the Black brothers with their wife’s and the team at NSS. There is also loving in-laws,a nasty ex wife, a vodka drink Russian astronaut and his lawyer brother, laughs, tears and love.
A crazy ex, danger and a trip to space. Trying to place the title with the book. Wade wants to go to mars, but did he make a mistake leaving his job to do this. Arial blames the place he's going to for the death of her husband. Some action and a HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a great story with such a unique storyline that keeps you interested to the very last page. Ariel is still grieving the loss of her husband but her attraction to Wade is something she cant deny. Will his choices make their union impossible or will a crazy ex with murder on her mind take Ariel and wades choices away from them. A fast-paced action-packed adventure that's well worth reading.
Pursuing Cygnus was a fast love story with drama, suspense, heartbreaking moments and love. I enjoyed this story the chemistry between the two leads was explosive and the storyline was very interesting. I personally cant wait for Jared and Kaylene's story I have a feeling it will be epic. July can't come fast enough. Happy Reading!!
This was quite an exciting read that's like a second chance at love theme. These two were made for each other and I enjoyed following their journey to an HEA. Of course, their path wasn't easy and it kept me on edge with all the emotions you could want in a romance. Expect action, suspense, sizzling chemistry and danger to keep you madly turning pages the way I did ;)
Can a tragedy lead to a new beginning? Arial cannot deny her attraction to Wade. Wade is the last person that she feels she needs to get involved with. A great mix of a crazy ex, tragedy, heartbreak, drama and love to keep you reading. Another great addition to the NSS series. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am hooked on this series. I love the characters and the storyline. I could not put this one down. I loved it. I cannot wait to read more in this series and more from this author. Great exciting read.

Linzi brought so much emotion to this story. The heart grabbing insta-love that brought Ariel and Wade together brought tears to my eyes. She gives amazing characters their HEA.
Wade and Arials story starts of slow and picks up pace. Loved Arials character and how she stepped down from a high profile engineer to cafe owner. Meets and falls for Wade but has reservation about it.
Beautiful emotional love story about trying to move on from the past and starting a new beginning but life sometimes has a plan of it’s own. Thank you for another incredible adventure, absolutely love your books ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Wow talk about an exciting read, especially since one of the main characters is an astronaut like the main female leads deceased husband, will they get past all the hurdles or will they prove to be to much.
The great plot was professionally written, and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!
Arial was living her life and running her cafe Wade wanted to go to mars They meet each other and dated but ran into trouble before they got their happy ever after
