Lily and Seth 💞
So tragic and so sweet! Lily lost her family in the blink of an eye due to a fire. She ends up basically homeless. When she loses her horrible job, she stumbles upon an issue of The Matrimonial Times and chooses a random name. She starts to write to Seth Riley in Wyoming. Little does she know, that she's not actually corresponding to Seth...
When Lily arrives to his town, his mother is there to pick her up. What transpires after that is definitely not what Lily expected....

Lily's whole family was killed in a house fire, and she lost everything. She had no where to go and did whatever odd job she could to survive. She answered a mail order bride advert and had been writing to Seth a Cattle Rancher. Seth proposed and sent her the money to come west, but why did his Mother pick her up at the train
Depot. When Lily arrived at the Ranch she realized that Seth's Mother wrote the letters and proposal. What is she going to do ? Good Story, two hearts to mend.

Cute but unrealistic story
How does a person who is barely surviving on 3 jobs manage to make it through the winter on two jobs then magically afford a paper only to write letters for months without a return address until spring whereupon she is healthy enough to travel to the west? Story is formula mail order bride with only two twists to make it stand out from other similar stories.

Mama did it
Another case of Mama knows best. Lily arrives in the west thinking Seth is expecting her, but his mother shows up, takes her to the ranch and he rejects her. But a blizzard arrives and she is stuck with them and of course she grows on him. Long story short they can’t live without each other.

If you like mail order bride stories you will like this one. Not so much drama or action but a very lovely story! It kept my interest to the end.

Book was shorter than I would have liked. Maybe a chapter longer and telling how things worked out. A mother trying to arrange things for a son do not always work out as they wish.

A sweet story!
The book has a sweet, sort of sad, story that pulls you in right away. Three people are thrown together after a snow storm with each dealing with their own heartache. It takes time for them to realize what they feel.
