When newborn Nate Rollins shifts to his wolf just minutes after his birth, his parents panic.
The ability to shift at birth is unheard of and is the hallmark of a powerful were.
Jackson, the pack Alpha and the baby's uncle, is a jealous leader, murdering all who might ever have the power to overcome him.
Desperate to save his son from his twin, Grant takes his mate and baby and runs.
Nate could be the most powerful werewolf since Lycos...if they can escape Jackson's clutches...if they can hide him from the Alpha...if they can keep him alive...
When Jackson sends his Beta, Dustin, after them, Grant is willing to fight to the death for his family.
Will Dustin try to return them to Jackson or will he help them escape when he learns the truth?
Lynn Nodima learned to love telling stories from her tall-tale telling grandfather, her story-spinning father, and her mother’s round-robin storytelling games. Spinning yarns is in her blood, and she happily continues the family tradition.
The main difference is that Lynn writes her stories down to share with people she will never meet. Lynn writes urban fantasy, paranormal romances/adventures, fantasy, and science fiction.
After working as a computer programmer, a college instructor, and a freelance editor for a traditional publisher, Lynn decided to embrace the writer's life.
"Teaser" intro to a series. Seems pretty formulaic and much too violent to me, but I'm sure others will disagree. I much prefer stories where the shifters break with the stereotype and create a new path.
Who are Grant, Linette, Jackson, and Nate? What has Grant and Linette panicked? What is the relationship between all of them? Who is Dusty and how do we learn about him? What does Dusty do? When Nate is dropped off at an ice cream shop, what happens? My heart hurt by the time I finished reading this short story about Nate. Read to see why. Now I really want to read more of this series!

Great backstory to the rest of the Texas Wolf Pack 12 book series. I wouldn't read it until after reading at least the six first books of the series. Great explanation for Nate Rollins past and future. Clean, some violence, already familiar with characters so just a great bonus.
This was well written and paced, with time jumps handled well as Nate grows. I haven't read any of the other books in the series, so this was all brand new to me. As far as I can tell it's a "chosen one" story with a tyrant that needs to be taken down, only in the form of a type of werewolf.
I was curious about the wolves too. It sounds like they are separate entities, as Nate's Dad had a name for "his wolf" and consulted with it, while it was inside him? I found that an interesting twist.
I've never been a fan of most werewolf books because they almost always deal with fated mates, which really turns me off. Even if it's clean. I just don't like the absence of choice when it comes to romance. Even arranged marriages have a choice of whether they fall in love. Fated mates just seems coercive and unsettles me. So, I don't know if I'll read the actual series. I'll have to do a bit of research. But that's just my opinion. This little snippet was quite good and got me intrigued. I only rated it lower because it's just not really my type of book.
Content: Language: None. Violence: There's some fighting, and mildly described deaths. Sexual: None.
Wow. “Wolf's Son: A Prequel to the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack Series” is a fantastic short novelette that helps lead into this amazing series! Always with Fresh new plots, great characters and clean must read stories for any age fans of fiction who especially love PNR! Even tho I volunteered to read this, it was without any outside influences & this is my honest opinion. I can hardly wait for more, but I certainly will!
This novella introduces a young Nate and some of the events that lead to him becoming an abandoned orphan. Touching and engaging a story - now I need to know what this prequel is leading up to.
