Life had never been pretty, why would it? His father had died too young, his uncle swiftly followed and he was left to watch over an angry, bitter, younger cousin. Yeah, life was ugly, he learnt that at an early age. His club went downhill and away from the values his father had instilled. He battled to get clean, his hands got dirty more than once and he put down anyone in his way. He didn't let that bitterness stop him, he got beauty and peace for his brothers.
He saw his cousin and Rage MC get what they deserved, the stunning women who handled the Rage brothers like professional wranglers. Now he wanted his turn, his brothers their turn, he was going to get it. She'd been watching, she didn't know he'd been looking right back at her. He had her in his sights and she was going down.
A good girl, with a love of bikes and beautiful cars, she spied on Hellfire MC for a long time, dreaming. Then he made a move and laid claim to her heart, she wasn't ready for a man like him, who was? He took care of her and treated her like she wanted, like a precious thing. Only precious things can break, can't they?
Did he have it in him to handle her with care, did she have it in her to lay her trust in his hands along with her heart? Hell was coming, and Hellfire is aptly named.
I was born in 1974 in Dagenham, Essex, England! I moved out of Essex in 2002 and moved to South Yorkshire and then settled in Derbyshire in 2005.
I've got four sons, one daughter and seven cats! I'm still working out who is more trouble, the children or cats! My children and I love cooking together, movie nights and music.
I've written stories ever since I was thirteen but I never had the courage to publish one before. But we all know the famous song... This is me, from the Greatest Showman. It gave me courage to Indie publish and be myself! Never under estimate the power of a good song!
My favourite holiday is Halloween and I'm known as the crazy lady in my street when Halloween hits! My love of Halloween even carries over to Christmas when, alongside my big "normal" tree I also have a Jack Skeleton tree!
My favourite movies vary, Star Wars, LOTR, Pirate Movie, Amazing Mr Blunden, Phantom of the Opera, Memphis Belle., finally Olympus/London has Fallen. Music depends on my mood, country, pop, classical, even bagpipes!
Rage MC is the first series I've Indie published and lots more Rage MC books will follow. I have several other series' I'm working on as well. So you will be getting a lot more Elizabeth N Harris Books! If you have any questions please check out my website and use the contact page to contact me in a variety of ways!
I loved this one. I have been waiting to read Chance's book since the first Rage MC book. I can't wait to watch the men of Hellfire fall in love one by one.
This was a great start to a new series by Elizabeth. Chance is the prez who falls for Clio after watching her watch them for months. There's typical bad elements with drama and a couple of sexy scenes. There were some editing issues through out the book. Also, if you're going to use the States as the setting of your story, you need to use that vernacular. English terms in an American setting is no bueno and stupid.
I've been waiting for this for a year and it didn't disappoint. Out of all the Hellfire and Rage brothers, Chance is my favourite. Clio was a wonderful foil to his alphaness. Sweet and gentle with oodles of courage and backbone. Chance is going to indulge Clio's every wish and she'll be loved and cherished. The lake scene was funny and my heart was in my throat when Clio was leaning out of the car.
The character of Leslie was well written and the relationship between her and Staffey was cute. Staffey is a typical Hellfire brother, maybe older and wiser but .... yeah Staffey is all alpha. Leslie was cute and was so sweet.
Having some experience around MC's it was nice that Elizabeth showed the bond of brotherhood between other MC's. That bond is very real in real life and is often left out as if each MC is a lone wolf. Inglorious needs his own book for sure.
Rage MC pop their heads up and we saw how Phoe manages being top old lady in Rage alongside a sister in Hellfire. Well written. We finally saw some of Hellfire's brothers characters develop which is about time.
Chance was all man, he's such a hero. Despite their age difference I can see Hellfire doing really well with Clio as head old lady.
The wedding was sweet with Eddie making an appearance. I can't wait for that girl to grow up and hopefully Elizabeth will write Eddie's story because it will be a killer.
I've been burning through the books set in this world and while Hellfire has been around since the first book, this is the first one centered around them. It's nice to see Chance find his woman, his life was looking a bit bleak and he needed this. I don't know that I had a type of woman picked for him, but it sure wasn't one like Clio and had I not read the book, only heard things I would have said she was too innocent, too young, too naïve. However after reading the book, Clio is just right, the things that I didn't think would work, did. Clio was able to hold her own with the brothers, with the other MC's, with Phoenix and Drake, with the skanks and she did all of this after having gone through a horrible ordeal, one that had sneaky ways of coming back to terrorize her.
I really enjoyed seeing Clio thrive, to start a new beginning for Hellfire and know that things will only be looking up for Clio, Chance and the club.
DNF @3% p13/326 Chapter 1 Ugh. It’s an immediate no for me. This is cringey as all hell. The first few pages are the MMC saying he wants a ‘good girl’ not a ‘spitfire’, that’ll do what he wants. And then we get to the FMC’s(haven’t even learned her name yet) POV and she’s waxing poetic about taking ten minutes out of everyday to stare at the ‘motorbikes’(which I also find cringey but since it’s a uk author I understand why the vocab there is different) and the cars and the guys. And her first thought of the MMC is that he’s ’the ideal alpha male’ 🫢🤢 And then their first interaction is just…no.
I’m probably being too harsh because my hormones are all out of wack today, but I just can’t when I want to roll my eyes so much within the first 20 pages. I’m gonna move on before it totally tanks my mood.
I don’t know why I keep trying this author’s books.
It’s obvious the author is from the UK but the books are set in the US and the expressions and sayings gave me whiplash.
A bunny vs a skank makes no sense whatsoever, two years as a prospect, a full English breakfast and a tearoom and bakery with a menu right out of the UK in South Dakota are just a few things that were just wrong.
After reading Drake's and Chance's remind me of why I started reading these series. Excellent stories full of drama and love. To see what these two men went through to make Rage and Hellfire the best of the best
I’m sorry. I know this has good reviews. But it’s terrible.
The written dialogue is terrible and very immature. There are times when it’s Chance’s pov (in third person) and in the middle of it, it switches to Clio’s pov in first person (and what a ridiculously horrible way to spell a name).
Tons of characters get introduced with no explanation as to who they are.
Chance is apparently ass over teakettle for for Clio, and he’s known her all of a day, outside of knowi by that she watches him from the forecourt, and has for the last 6 months.
Everyone has asked for Chance's story and here it is! I loved writing Clio's character for Chance, she wrote herself and I was as intrigued as anyone to see how her character developed. Chance needed sweet in his life, he's got fire (Phoe), he needed sweet.
Chance was the one who deserved a real sweetheart, he sacrificed everything for his brothers and Hellfire and then for Rage. We've seen Chance in and out of Rage MC and we know there is nothing more valuable to him than family.
I loved writing this book, so I hope you all enjoyed it!
Really enjoyed seeing Chance get his own book. The story yet again dealt with another aspect that we in todays society wish to ignore. Elizabeth takes these issues and makes them current and brings them out into the open. I could taste Clio's fear and it made me also feel, something books don't usually do. Great book and writing.
Well I started with Rage and haven't stopped reading since. I am absolutely hooked on these MCs so much I resent having to work and sleep. Loved Clio and Chance, thought she was going to be clingy but nope she learnt to hold her own. Long may all these MCs and characters continue into their own books!!
Totally Awesome! I was so engrossed and invested in this intriguing story. I love all books by this author, but this might be my all time favorite.. Clip and Chance were superb together. Such a wonderful uplifting love story.
She is clearly from across the pond and her words often prove that, but you can follow her stories just fine, and I love them all. She tells amazing stories rich with drama and suspense. Read this, you won't regret it.
This is the first book I read from this author and let me tell you that I loved it! Such a good book with great characters that keeps you obsessed with every page since the first one. The ending of this book.. come on! I just didn´t expect it! Can´t wait to read other books from this great writer! Amazing job! a must-read! A fantastic book that has it all! I happily endorse this story to any and all who are looking for a romance enjoyable read and a completely different experience than anyone could imagine on their own. Great book!
Okay this wasthe first in the series but I already know some of the members of the hellfire club thanks to reading the Rage series I love that they all mix together and there easy to understand and not get lost. I'm glad that she managed to rekindle her relationship with her foster father / dad that was a great thing to happen. I love the car chase to rescue her I was imagining it a little like the fast and furious which I liked I love that other groups came to the rescue too. Loved it my
I've been waiting to read Chance's story as I read the Rage MC series first. It was well worth the wait. Clio is a real gem and just what Chance needed. She finally came into her own and there was a spitfire underneath the quiet and shyness. She has to be with Chance or she'd get steamrolled. Loved all the other MC's in this one, especially Rage as I'm so familiar with them and just finished reading about them. I've met Inglorious a few times now and loving him a bunch. It wouldn't be a proper story without Eddie in the mix....love that little girl!!!!!
This is Book 1 in the Hell Fire MC. This is Chance’s book and he’s ready to meet the woman who will become his ole lady. He knows who he wants but he’s too old and not good enough for her. Clio is young and innocent but she loves the cars and bikes that belong to the MC. She also thinks the eye candy isn’t bad either. Especially that one guy who she can never have. Things heat up between the two when events fire up where Clio is concerned. I love this book! Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
This is the first book in a new series and what an amazing beginning Chance and Clio's story is. This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, loyalty, witty banter, humour, challenges, danger, suspense, intrigue, vengeance, trust, undeniable chemistry, and love which all leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and compelling addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This is my first time reading this author and she was recommended by a fellow author, JE Daelman. Elizabeth did a great job with this story. Clio has been through a lot in her life and she has turned out to be a strong and amazing young woman with guts and fire in her belly. Chance is the President of Hellfire MC and was immediately attracted to Clio and wound up being her rescuer as well. Quite a bit of twist and turns throughout. Happy reading.
Chance’s Hell follows Chance, President of the Hellfire MC, as he finally finds his one. I loved Chance when he appeared in the Rage MC book series and I’m glad he got his own book and found his own special lady. The story had me hooked from the beginning and as with the other books I’ve read by Elizabeth N Harris I absolutely loved it. I’m interested to see where this series goes and looking forward to reading the books.
That was crazy!! How can people b so sick and stupid? They think they have a ft 2 do whatever they want and that's not the way the world works. Clio has been through hell but she kept on spying on Chance of hellfire. After everything was going on in her life everyone will do everything in their power 2 keep her safe and punish the guilty. But can they find all the guilty in x b4 it's 2 late? I liked it.chance is a special man and deserves happiness.
Damn bikers, bikers, bikers. I loved all the main characters and the ties that bind them. The allied clubs just as amazing. I finished this book with warm fuzzies and an appreciation for the different lifestyle they live. I will definitely read future books and recommend this one.
Loved it, loved it. Wow! Such an awesome read. This is about a girl who grew up in foster care and an MC President finding each other. It is a pretty quick romance but then all sorts of things happen along with finding some great friends and lots of love. Action packed, intense, and a great read. Highly recommend. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger. Enjoy
I really enjoyed this story. Orphaned, fostered, then a horrible incident happened. Through all of that Clio came out of it on top. Chance found his one and only. He showed Clio love. This is a great read and I don't want to spoil it for anyone reading the reviews.
Chance watched as his cousin falls for the Sister of Hellfire MC. Watched as other members of Rage MC find their better halves, never truly believing he would find his.
Throughout the struggle of keeping his better half, Chance shows why he is the President of Hellfire MC.
SMH, how tiresome to read about yet another kidnapped fmc. Can authors not come up with something more creative than the same tired trope of the kidnapped fmc? To top it off Clio was not likeable at all. Too much unneccesary description of business plans, renovations and hiring employees, could care less about all that.....BORING. Oh, Americans do not talk like British people.
Chance & Clio: triggers- Foster care wage & tip theft, kidnapping, sexual assault, nonconsensual porn, assault. this was okay. really slow for me but interesting definitely wasn't what I was expecting but I liked the concept. I'm definitely curious about the rest of the series based on how this book went. Chance and Clio are so sweet and sexy and Chance is the ultimate protector.
This story was so moving, exciting, entertaining and so much more!!. JUST WOW!!!. I haven't read a more moving story in quite awhile, it was so, so moving!!. Elizabeth is a FANTASTIC storyteller and is a PHENOMENAL writer!!!.
