He’s the enemy—and she’s agreed to become his mate.

Stranded on war-torn Earth with her young daughter, Belle is devastated to learn she has a terminal illness. Who will take care of her daughter after she’s gone? When she discovers Vaxxlians possess the technology to save her, she doesn’t hesitate to sign up for Vaxxlian Mail Order Brides—even if she does view the powerful aliens as the enemy. She only wishes her matched mate, a muscle-bound warrior named Khann, wasn’t so kind and handsome. She doesn’t want to lose her heart to the enemy, but it’s difficult to think coherently when his passionate kisses leave her breathless with desire.

Khann longs for a mate and a family. When he meets the beautiful human female named Belle and her talkative daughter, Amie, he feels a warmth he hasn’t experienced in ages. Surely, they must be the answer to his prayers. He’s eager to mate with Belle and bring his new family back to New Vaxx, but Belle hesitates to leave Earth right away and insists they postpone their mating until they are better acquainted. Khann sets about romancing the human female as best he can. But not long after their first mating, he learns a terrible secret about her past loyalties, one which jeopardizes their future as a family.

When Belle discovers she has a terminal illness and realizes she'll leave her young daughter orphaned, she signs up to become a Vaxxlian mail order bride. Although they're vicious killers, the Vaxxlians have the technology that can save her life. She thinks she's making a deal with the devil, but she soon discovers the Vaxxlians aren't what she always believed.

Loved the setup in this story, great character motivation. It was also an all-around quick, easy pleasant read. A nice way to spend the time and forget about 2020.

I adored this book! Khann (LoL, big Trekkie here!) grabbed my emotions and tugged at my heartstrings from his very first scene. His hopes and fears are so poignant and heartbreaking. I loved the possession he began to feel as he thought more and more about Belle and her daughter Amie, about his new family. And his reaction, his emotional response from the moment of meeting them both, beautiful!! Belle is a woman torn, needing to survive for her daughter, but her only hope is an alien race she has long feared. She's so strong, refusing to give up in the face of a life-ending disease, putting Amie's welfare before all else. I enjoyed her willingness to accept Khann on his merits, and loved how his honesty and transparent feelings begin to change her views about his people. What I found most intriguing about Belle was her history. No spoilers, but she's no ordinary Earth girl. And let me tell you, Belle's daughter Amie will steal your heart and make you laugh while she does it. Daddy Khann can do no wrong, and within hours he's the best father a girl could wish for. Fun and sexy and heartwarming, with just a bit of angst to keep things even more interesting, this is a story not to missed. Happy Reading!!

Just what you'd expect from this series. A fun, light, quick sci-fi romance.

Belle is desperate for a cure from her life threatening disease. She wants to ensure her daughter is not left alone in this world. After all treatments fail, she hears a rumor that if she becomes a Vaxxlian bride she can receive nanobots which will heal her.

Belle signs up to be a mail order bride and Khann shows up. Khann is one of the most understanding men I've ever read. He forgives Belle for her deceit in signing up for mail order bride program under false intentions and continues to stand by Belle and her daughter Amie through think and thin.

If you love light, fast stories with love and action, this is a great book for an afternoon!

Well written fast paced story full of healing, family and love

This was such a fun and heartwarming story. As we see in real life, one experience does not actually define an entire race. Belle has to learn that but little Amie was so cute and Khann so devoted that she can't help but figure it out. That being said, trauma does a number on the mind and it's understandable that Belle would have difficulties with mating 'the enemy'. Her dedication to her daughter was admirable and led her to the drastic step of applying to be a mail order bride. Khann was wonderful and really bonded to them both. I really enjoyed their romance and can't wait for the next book in the series.

This is the first book I have read in this series and I enjoyed it. The story starts with three brothers Axall, Myadd and Khann all flying to earth to meet and mate the mail order bride that they have been matched with. This is Khann's story. He is aware that he has been matched with Belle who has a little daughter Amie. Khann is afraid that due to the wars and hardship that he has been through, he will be unable to show affection or love to either of them. He is certain that he can and will protect them from anything and provide for them as well. So it is with trepidation that he meets Belle and her daughter Amie.

Now Belle has her own set of concerns. She considers Vaxxlian people the enemy due to events in her childhood. But she is willing to do anything to stay alive so that she can love and take care of her daughter Amie. Since she has exhausted all avenues of help on earth, a doctor tells her that he has heard rumours that Vaxxlian people have a cure for her fatal illness. Desperate, Belle signs up as mail order bride. It is her last hope.

This is Khann and Belle's story. While both deserve a fairy tale ending, there are a lot of prejudices and challenges that they must work through first. I enjoyed this story and look forward to future books.

A wonderful addition to this series, you love every moment
What is she going to so?
She is a single mother with a beautiful young daughter and she’s dying, who will care for the only thing in her life she cares about her precious little girl Annie.
When she hears about the technology the Vaxxlian’s have that is able to cure certain ailments she puts herself forward and is signs up as a Mail Order Bride and hope that she will have a Matched Mate somewhere within their ranks.
When Khann a muscle-bound walking piece of art realises that she is his matched mate, he cannot help but be enchanted by the beauty and kindness that radiates from within her very soul.
He dreams of a family of his own and already knows that Belle is his mate, her daughter Annie is like a mini version of her mother. She is filled with life, questions everything around her and is so protective of her mother he loves her as though she was his own child.
When Khann discovers the truth regarding her illness he is momentarily devastated but he is a warrior and will not allow this to take his mate, he will fight with everything he has, he will not lose his family they are his life.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Khann is the latest Vaxxlian to get a mail order bride. He has a little trepidation that his mate already has a child and he worries how he will feel when he meets the child. Belle is dying and in order to make sure that her daughter has a loving parent, she signs up for the Vaxxlian mail order bride program hoping that the rumors she ahs heard are true.

This is not an exciting story not is it action packed. It is the story of a mother that would face a mortal enemy for the love of her daughter. It is a story of miscomprehensions and omitted truths. Mostly it is a story of a woman's realization that one encounter (not matter how devastating) should not be the basis for judging a whole race of people.

Amie's outgoing personality really draws Khann to her and she totally brightened the story. Belle does feel guilt about what she is doing. Khann is a standard Vaxxlian (willing to do anything for his mate) and his actions prove it repeatedly.

I am looking forward to brother #3.

I have been a fan of Sue Mercury/Sue Lyndon for years and I have rarely been disappointed. I have purchased, borrowed (via Kindle Unlimited), and received review copies of her books.

Who'd have thunk it! A Vaxxlian Warrior as an enemy? But Belle has some reason to be afraid of them, even though she'll do anything to make sure that her daughter is taken care of. Khann knows that he must do his duty to help restore the Vaxxlian people, but he's afraid that after all the years of fighting and killing that there is no room for kindness or love left in his heart. Belle finds from the start that Khann is not what she expected and Khann can feel that his heart almost immediately starts to open up to Belle and Amie, her daughter. I loved the characters, especially Belle, who has to overcome so many obstacles from her past to get to her HEA with Khann. So if you love the Vaxxlian Mail Order Bride Series, this is one of the best ones yet!!

This is a fantastic story! I loved every second of it. I couldn't put it down. I was caught up in the action from the first page. Belle signs up to be a Bride for a Vaxxlian warrior as a last resort. She doesn't have pleasant memories of Vaxxlian warriors but she has no choice. She has a terminal disease that she is hoping their nanos would cure. Khann is looking for a mate and was thrilled to be matched. He knows that he is getting a mate and a child as well. When he meets them, some coldness in him started to melt. Belle is keeping somethings from him though. Will they be able to work out their issues before it's too late?

Belle she has a terminal illness and is worried about leaving her 5-year-old daughter, Amie, an orphan. Who can she find to care for her daughter with Earth already in such horrible condition? Finding that the Vaxxlians have technology that could save her, she signs up for the Vaxxlian Mail Order Bride program and is matched.

Khann wants a mate and a family. He instantly falls for the human Belle and her sweet daughter, Amie, accepts him and makes him feel a closeness to them. Although he is eager to mate and return to New Vaxx with his family, Belle pulls back and wants to take things slowly. Will Belle’s secrets tear them apart? Or will she learn that Khann wants to love and take care of them both? Can she learn to trust him? Will their technology make her well again so they can share their lives together?

I enjoyed this instalment in the Vaxxlian series. There have been a lot of them and I like how the author manages to bring a new element into each story. There is always instalove and a HEA but each alien/human pairing and courtship is unique and gives the warm and fuzzies.

Khann is a battle weary soldier doing his duty and signing up for a mate while Belle is trying to hide her (well earned) prejudices and save her life and that of her daughter. In the midst of the love story we learn that no hero alien race has been all good and no enemy aliens are all bad.

Well written and a quick read with fun steamy scenes.

This is the 5th book in this sci-fi mail order brides series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Belle learns she has a terminal illness which will leave her young daughter all alone. She discovers the Vaxxlians have the technology to save her so she signs up to be a mail order bride. She views the Vaxxlians has her enemy but she looks past that and when she meets Khann, sparks fly. What will happen when he discovers the secret that she is hiding that may destroy their new family? Fast-paced read with great characters, excellent world building and an entertaining, emotional read. I liked it.

Belle find out that the Vaxxlian have the technology to cure her terminal illness. She signs up to be a Vaxxlian Mail order Bride. She doesn't want to leave her 5 year old daughter Amie an orphan. Khann shows up as her mate and is so sweet that her one encounter shouldn't be the bases about his whole race. I didn't get the big deal about Belle's secret. It was nothing that would change Khann's mind about her. Amie, Belle's daughter is just priceless. She will steal your heart and she's already in love with Daddy Khann. Fun, heartwarming and steamy story. I received an ARC copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another fantastic addition to the series!!! This short fast paced story will give you all the feels. Even though I felt like Belle didn't do much to earn Khann affection in the end she got what she wanted. Even after he discovered her secret. But besides that this was a enjoyable and entertaining read. Can't wait to see what else is in store for this series. I received a free copy via booksprout as always my review are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

This was a quick read about a desperate earth woman and a Vaxxlian man. Belle has a daughter, she's sick and she hates the aliens. But when she learns that as a mail order bride she'll be cured, she signs right up. When she meets Khann, her match he's sweet, concerned and helpful. When she wants to postpone the mating, he goes along and does his best to "woo" her which is always fun. When her secrets come out will they still make it? I liked the characters but didn't love Belle until she started to see what was right in front of her. Khann was terrific and Amie was an added plus to the story.

This was an amazing book that I loved reading and Khann and Belle were amazing together with an amazing chemistry =, they were made foe each other. Khann wants and is looking for a family and thinks he had found them in his mail order bride Belle and her daughter Amie It's a great story where they both have hopes, dreams and fears but are able to work together to get to their happy ever after. I loved this book and I highly recommend this book.

This was a sweet with heat story. Belle is dying and the only thing that can save her is rumored Valaxxian technology. She signs up for their mail order bride service despite her fear of them due to a brutal incident involving her father. Khann has been matched to her and shows her her fears may be somewhat unfounded. Great story with touching characters. Her daughter is super cute.

This is an honest review of an ARC.

Khann is such a sweetheart! His war experience had turned him into a dour fellow who was concerned whether or not he could satisfy a mate. But it doesn't take long for him to feel joy after meeting Belle and Amie. Imagine a giant man crouched at a coffee table coloring with a little girl! Unlike other books in this series, there's little danger and lots of learning about their mates and forming a family. It's a different twist to many of these stories, and I enjoyed it!

Belle was terminally ill and knew of no other way to save herself or her daughter Amie. Being a Vaxxlain Mail Order Bride was the only option. But could she overcome her past haing lost her father to the Vaxxlian Alien’s. Khann, a prisoner of war, was happy to be matched but was concerned about being a father. He would care for Amie as his own but was he able to love? The war had hardened him. Irrcon was his enemy but for Belle it was different. Will this be was causes the divide?

I understand Belle’s fear for not only her daughter but for the misunderstanding of the Vaxxlian’s. what she witnessed gave her doubts and fear. She didn’t know Khann enough to trust him with how she felt. The secret almost cost her Khann and the chance and finding love. I love that Khann was understanding. Yes he was upset with her about not trusting him enough but he was there for her. And worked to make things right. Now we just need to find out what happened to his brother Myadd.

Belle is dying and she doesn't' want to leave her 5 yr-old alone. One of her doctors told her if she marries a Vaxxlian, he can inject her with nanobots that will save her. So she signs up to marry the enemy. She watched her a Vaxxlian kill her peaceful Irrcon father. Khann thinks he has lost all emotions during the war. Can these two find happiness while living with the enemy? What will he do when he finds out he is matched to the enemy.

Good storyline and well-developed characters. I have enjoyed all the books in this series.

This book is an amazing read. It tells the story of Khann a vaxilian warrior and belle, a human female and her daughter amie. When belle was younger she witnessed something horrific and to this day she’s been terrified of vaxilian warriors. Left with no other choice though she signs up. Khann isn’t like the violent and brutal barbarians she’s witnessed in her past., he’s sweet and is so,protective over belle and Amy.she’s terrified of what he will say when he finds out the truth about her.

I just love this series so much. Khann is not even sure he is empathetic enough to have a mate and Belle has so many secrets. Their journey to happiness is filled with potholes and sweetness. I adored the way he held her until she fell asleep. It was just so special. Can't wait for the next book.

Once again Sue Mercury has written a wonderful story about a Vaxxlian warrior and an earth woman. This time, however, there are a few more factors that the previous stories didn't have. Earthling Belle was orphaned as a baby in space after a fatal spaceship accident. An Irrconian trader found her in the rubble and raised her like his own daughter. Belle is the mother of a four year old daughter. Finally, she suffers from a deadly disease. Her last hope and chance for a cure is to become an order bride for Vaxxlian ... because the Vaxxlians have nanobots that can apparently heal anything. It's a beautiful, tender story between Belle and Khann. It's worth reading. I loved it and the sexscene was sizzling hot.

Belle has a terminal illness and the doctors on Earth have no cure. She is worried about what might happen to her daughter after she dies. One doctor told her the Vaxx had a way to cure the disease but they only shared it with their mates. In an attempt to save herself, she applies on the Vaxxlian Alien Mail Oder Brides website. She is quickly matched with the Vaxxlian Khann who arrives the next day to take her as his mate and return home. Belle wants time to get to know Khann before they mate and convinces Khann to give her ten days. I really enjoyed this story and the characters. This steamy romance ends with an HEA and no cliffhanger.

It’s Not AsIt Seems

A classic illustration of not judging a book by it’s cover was my takeaway from this book. A human female judges her mail order alien husband strictly because of his race. But Khann proves himself to her and she can only be thankful when her secrets come out and he remains steadfast and honorable. A sweet love story about a hunky alien male and a desperate human female.

I've been loving this series and this wonderful story about Khann and Belle and her daughter Amie was another very enjoyable read. Khann was a very likable character as we learn all his worries and who ended up being very supportive and loving toward Belle a mother who is dying from a life-ending disease and looking for "all" options, and her daughter Amie was also adorable in this story. This was a touching story I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout in this series.

A short, sweet love story...
Belle signed up to be a Vaxxlian mail order bride in order to hopefully cure her terminal illness. She doesn’t want to leave her five year old daughter Amie an orphan. When Khann shows up sweet as can be, all of her preconceived notions concerning his people fade away.

Loving the enemy?

I understand Belle's fears and worries about the Vaxxlians. Even if she didn't have the history she did, signing up to be a mail order bride is scary. Khann is just so sweet with her and Amie and her fears.

Khann is looking forward to a family. He just doesn't know if he is compassionate enough for one. Can he even love another's child thats not his own? But when he immediately sets out for his new mate Belle and her daughter Amie, hes surprised and how much he comes to love them, so soon. Belle is terminally sick. She doesnt want to leave Amie all by herself if she dies. So Belle does something drastic in hope's of saving herself for her child. Will Khann understand and be forgiving?
