I read up to Jessica. I did not read Jessica because it is a triad story and that’s not for me.

This is a great series. It’s basic gated late stuff. Each couple has internal or external obstacles to overcome before accepting the mating bond. But the characters are cute and the stories are different enough to keep you going.

Shiftr: Swipe Left For Love – Boxed Set – Ariana Hawkes
Dina:
After reading this book, I know it is a series that I will be seeking out as each instalment comes out, even though each book is a standalone. Ms. Hawkes has found a common link for a group of friends, all finding their true mates through a new dating site specifically for male shifters seeking their fated mates, who are from the human realm. In this episode, we meet Dina and Logan, a curvy human female with lots of love to give, and a werebear with a heart to match.
This is a great book, not too long, but definitely long enough to feel the love and not be rushed. Looking forward to the next book in this saga.
Kristin:
I am so in love with this series. Each book is a standalone story, yet they are all intertwined, having the same basic theme with the common denominator being the secret dating app, Shiftr.
This particular tale gives us Kristin and Roman’s story. When Kristin is introduced to the Shiftr app for curvy human women and hunky, hot shifter men by her best friends Dina and Lauren, all bets are off on whether or not she will be able to find a man who will accept her for herself and all of her “faults” as she sees them. Her eye is immediately taken by a drool worthy tiger shifter, Roman, but she won’t allow herself to be drawn in. She has a problem that she believes will affect the end result of any relationship she enters into, leaving her devastated once again. But once Roman scents her, he knows she is his mate and won’t give up on her, leaving her no choice but to listen to what he has to say. Will he convince her to let go and let fate take it’s course? Will she finally find who and what she’s been searching for all of her life? Definitely worth the read. I am looking forward to the next one. I can only wonder who will be the next to discover Shiftr!
Melissa:
This is the 3rd book in this series, and I loved it every bit as much as the first two. I love the idea of a secret shifter dating app for BBW girls and hot hunky shifter men. What girl wouldn’t?
The author has the idea and ran ramped with it, giving us a series of stories that will make your toes curl and heart pump. In this episode, we have the last of the four women, Melissa, being set up on the Shiftr app to try and find her ideal man / mate. With a little help from fate, and some long suppressed memories brought back to the surface and re-visited, she decides to take a chance and listen to what Harley, the local shifter doctor, has to say. The emotions run high throughout the book, but you can’t help but root for the happy ever after. I hope Ariana continues with the series. Each of the books are light and easy to read, very uplifting and will definitely leave you with a smile.
Andrea:
Andrea has been gone from Hope Valley for over 12 years. She suddenly finds herself out of luck in the big city, broke and broken, and crawling back home to her parents dismay. Always feeling the pressure they applied on her to be better than anyone else, they continue to tighten the screws while she lives under their roof.
One of her friends has kindly offered her a job, but as time passes, she realizes that what she has to offer is so much more. With a bit of help from Tamika, she meets Marcus. His roar may be much worse than his bite, but eventually, he lets his lion take over and hopes for the best.
Sound a bit confusing? Well, it clears up considerably when you read the book.
A well written story that keeps you wanting more, this is the 4th from the Shiftr series. Each book in the series is a standalone, but they are all so awesome, you won’t want to miss one of them. The plot is easy to follow, and the characters, even though some have minor faults (to err is to be human and all), you can’t help but fall in love with them all.

Ryzard:
It’s truly a difficult thing to not fall for the characters in Ms. Hawkes Hope Valley Shifters series, and this one is another perfect example of that.
Marilyn, having discovered that her slimball husband and her best friend have been having an affair for over five years, all of which she was married to him. She’s on a rampage and left the house, only to find herself at a bar drinking her sorrows away. In walks Ryzard and sweeps her off her feet, and she finds herself in her first “one night stand” with the most gorgeous man she has ever met. Only problem…when she wakes up to find a bear at the end of the bed. Two years later, and after having given birth to twins thanks to that one night, she decides she needs some specialized help raising her sons. After long, careful searching, she’s managed to track down Tamika, founder of the Shiftr mating site and hopefully the one person that could shine some light on what it is she’s going to have to face in the next few years. Knowing that she can trust Marilyn not to “out” the shifter population, she convinces her to download the mating site in order to find a father for her boys and a mate for herself.
Ryzard knows he’s not mate material, but the rest of his clan keep pressuring him to find one. When they finally convince him to set up a profile on Shiftr, he figures it will buy him some time and the guys will back off. He’s not prepared for the instant match of 95% to a stunning beauty though, and quickly sends off a message. Little did he know just how much his past was about to barrel right into his future.
Lots of heartache and passion all rolled up into a story that will have you in tears for one reason or another, this is definitely one you won’t want to miss out on. Absolutely loved it!

Nash:
Another great episode in the Shiftr series, complete with all the ups and downs, along with a few unexpected twists and turns. Kenzie is on the run, but not from who you would think. She's left her cousin at the alter, refusing to marry him, even though her parents sort of pushed her in that direction. It's been three months, but she is still unable to stop looking over her shoulder. Having rolled into Hope Valley, she was fortunate enough to land a job with Jackson, and the only downfall being her obnoxious co-worker, Nash. But, as we all know, Fate has a wicked sense of humour, and when love doesn't progress at the speed it likes, it tends to throw a curveball or two. With the help of an old friend, and a special, secret mating app, it just may be possible for these two misfits to agree to maybe like each other...or maybe more.
I absolutely love this series. Ms. Hawkes has a tendency to draw you in with her storytelling, with a plot that is easy to follow, yet intricate enough to keep you guessing. Love it!

A good example of a new author's growth

This appears to be written in publish order, but chronologically, Lauren and Conner's story comes first, so I skipped ahead and read that one first. I'm glad I did, because the author did a lot of growing between Dina's story and Lauren's. I think if I hadn't read Lauren's first, I would have stopped after the first two or three. They are cute, and the characters are interesting, but very two dimensional. Ie, the females characters all have jobs, some of them should be quite interesting, or time consuming, ie teacher, running a store etc, but they are barely ever mentioned, the characters almost never actually go to work unless it's relevant to the story. The first 3 or 4 stories are like listening to someone gossip about how her best friend got together with her guy, there is a lot of missing information, and almost no plot. Every problem (including deep psychological scars) are instantly solved by accepting that this other person is your magically fated partner. There is no need for therapy or compromise. This does evolve over time and get a little better. But even the last story is a long way away from a fully developed world, plot and characters. The last female character, Abigail, for instance, supposedly has a good well-paying job, but it never mentions what it is, and she happily abandons it at the end in a decision that takes less than a paragraph. Which is just super unrealistic for her character type. Despite this, the books are actually pretty good for romance novels. There is a definite lack of toxic masculinity and similar tropes common to romance novels. I would like to see more of the interactions between the female characters revolve around something other than the men/relationships/children.

I do think the author has painted herself into a corner with her version of fated mates, because it doesn't allow for developmental conflict. Ive definitely seen this handled better in other shifter series. Having said that, the author has storytelling talent, and just needs to develop her writing and research skills. This read like the author was probably inexperienced or sheltered and unable to realistically portray the events she was trying to write about. I will be interested to follow her future works.

I love this series, it is probably one of the best shifter romance series I have read. The author is amazing and she draws you into each and every story. I was unable to put the book down until i had completed every single page of each book.

I highly recommend this book series and this author to everyone who loves romance and specially shifter romances. Be sure to pick this up you will be very very glad that you did.

To be able to get the whole series at one time is really amazing, and if you don't have it I guarantee you will want to add it to your digital library.

The Complete Series All In One Book

I’ve read some of these books over the years but never the whole series. Was I delighted when I discovered the complete box set all together. I started with the first story and read all the way through. And I loved every word of it!
I’ve also been reading other books by Ariana and they are all so exciting, funny,
H. O. T., sweet, silly, loving, and brilliantly written.
My favorite shifters are bear shifters (I do love all of them) and I was thrilled to find out Ms. Hawkes had written so many books about them!

I really liked this set of books that are all loosely tied together. They each star a new couple and are all a bit different. Some made me laugh out loud, some sigh, and some want to slap both lead characters. But I was entertained. I also liked that all are a quick read so easy to read one book if only have a short amount of time like a lunch break. They were all hot reads and had fun stories. I liked al the characters. I enjoyed reading them.

This is a 15 book box set with shifters and humans that met through a dating app called Shiftr. They all live, or end up moving to, a city called Hope Valley and the stories can be read independently but I loved reading in order to get the feel of the clan and the friendship between the girls. The only problem to me is that some “rules” for the Universe created by the author changes from one book to another and it becomes clear when you read all in one go.

Sweet collection

What a sweet, uncomplicated group of couples. I enjoyed the reading and getting to know the whole group one after the other. A whole collection of HEAs. I enjoyed old friends reuniting, people overcoming traumatic pasts, and finding love, happiness, and security with someone who feels the same as them. Be aware there is violence in some of the stories, and none of the shifters are vegetarians. I enjoyed.

Wow. What a Collection!

Ariana Hawkes has created an extensive and comprehensive world of Shifters. Her inclusion of some modern human technology in the form of the dating app Shifr makes it all come together. Fifteen books of various tropes allow a variety of stories, many great and interesting characters and an overarching magnetism for the reader. My only suggestion is read the twelfth book about Connor and Lauren first. Otherwise, this is a great and fun read.

A good vacation read...

This is the first time I have read anything from this author. It was a very enjoyable book to read while I have been off from work! I always enjoy paranormal romance. I will be adding this author to my list. Although, I enjoy some stories in this boxed set more than others, overall, this boxed set was very enjoyable!

If you love drama, laughing and scorching romance. You have got to read this amazing series.

I chose this rating because this series kept me interested throughout. It had everything you could think of and me wondering what each character was going to do to find his true mate. This series is amazing and I can’t wait to read the others.

I just couldn't get over the language inconsistencies so I only made it half way through book 5. This is set in small town USA but it's obviously written by someone from another country with a bad editor, random Mums. Someone "hired" a car rather then renting looking in a diary rather then checking a calendar or a schedule. I finally just got annoyed.

Great series!!!

Loved the series. I really enjoyed the continuation of the stories with each other for the bear clan. Some of the other books were just extra characters & stories but they were still nice. The only book I didn’t like was the one with two brother mates for Jessica but that’s just a personal preference so I skipped that book.

Overall, a good read.

Good HEAs

Great HEAs with a little bit of steam and spice. I like the premise, and how all the stories connect, but my preference is for length, world building and mystery. It's a lovely set of stories, but not quite for me.
