A nice bookend to a fantastic event. I like what it sets up for the future of the Marvel universe. There's lots of moments where Hulkling gets to shine.
One of the better Marvel comics out there. An aftermath (as the title implies) of the Empyre event involving Hulkling (Teddy Altamn) ascended the united throne of the Kree and Skrull Empires. Hulkling and Wiccan (Billy Kaplan) are finally married--it seems like just yesterday these two's relationship had just began and they just joined the Young Avengers. Hulkling confronts his grandmother, the former Empress R'Klll of the Skrull, to ask about his mother. She warns him tha this softness will only end in ruin, but Hulkling thinks otherwise.
This issue is both the end of a story arc and the prelude to another one. It was very nice and it's so nice to see Hulkling and Wiccan's relationship take the next big step--I swear to God they're still teenagers to me! At the same time, I'm worried as to what's down the road. The artwork was mostly nice, but I swear to God the artist couldn't figure out how to draw Wiccan's hairstyle sometimes.
I didn't read the main miniseries because of event fatigue and went straight to the epilogue. It was the right choice, this issue seems to be another set up for another event. Still, this issue has its merits but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to read unless you've read Empyre and familiar with Young Avengers lore.
An ok story with a conclusion that were already established at the end of the event with some continuation of the characters in it, that you can do without if you wanna read the event and be done with it.
The aftermath means a party where of course a fight breaks out, and maybe an idea to unite a global system of all superheroes working in concert. We will see. And what’s with that enigmatic ending? Does this mean Marvel won’t throw the Young Avengers out again?
Fantastic end to this. I'm going to finish up reading the last few fallout books, but this gives me everything I need for the end of the event. And a wedding!

Better than anything produced for the conclusion of Empyre, maybe even better than the series itself. Fans of Young Avengers will really like the Hulkling/Wiccan wedding in space, and the art is really good, too. This comic book is also a good gateway to future stories, and the best crossovers lead into the next story. Highly recommended.
From reading reviews this is the end of an event. I’m am a totally newbie to reading marvel comics and the marvel universe. I was reading Wiccan & Hulkling episodes. I believe this is a great stand alone comic. I found it showed a huge amount of Teddy’s characteristics and made me love him more. He’s kind , caring and just wants peace. Love it.

Well, there are still a few more Empyre books to come, but this one really wraps everything up, as Wiccan and Hulkling properly, officially get married, with an enormous cast of their fellow heroes in attendance.
Of course, like any good wedding, it's not without its drama, as Abigail Brand has a few home truths for the assembled heroes.
Also, Hulkling deals out sentences for his grandmother, the Super Skrull and Captain Glory.
And then we get a brief glimpse of the future...
This is a great end to a great event. Al Ewing and Valerio Schiti both produce stunning work and I look forward to the future of the Marvel Universe!
You're gonna get me to read this for the wedding and have all this other stuff? mkay. This is why I should stick to Anthony Oliveira's stuff. Billy and Teddy barely get to talk at their own wedding lmao
Was heading for a 5 star read for me (come on it's fully focused on Teddy - which I had hoped the whole event would be) and then they ruined it with the cliffhanger foreshadowing yet another disaster that tears everyone apart.
Gay, Jewish, Superhero, King and Wizard of Space wedding? You do not need to know more. No, but seriously this is a nice wrap up to Emypre. The cliffhanger though? Can’t wait for the next chapter.
