The Ultimate Guide to Astrology written by leading astrologer and Instagram star Tanaaz Chubb (@foreverconscious) presents a modern and accessible approach to astrology with an emphasis on the signs and the planets. Astrology is the study of our connection to the cosmos. ”As above, so below” is the guiding principle: whatever is happening in the sky above can give clues as to what is happening within and vice versa. At the moment when you were born the stars and the planets all aligned in a configuration that is unique to you. This configuration of planets holds the energetic blueprint of your soul and the energetic forces that surround you as you embark on this journey.

Astrology can help peel back the new layers to reveal truths and insights about yourself and allows you to see the energies you are working with and how they can be used as strengths. Astrology gently guides you to understand the different energetic frequencies you can harness to help you lead a balanced, connected and richer life. It can also highlight some lessons your soul has come to learn and why certain themes or vibrations may be present. While the study of astrology is endless, this book will break down the key components and set you on the path to reading and understanding the vibrations that surround you as well as what messages they hold for you.

This book prepares you to connect with the cosmic skies, the cosmic blueprint of your soul and the foundation of the ancient art of astrology. This is a concise, clear and fascinating guide perfect for beginners and complemented by stunning artwork throughout. It's accessible, full of information and presented in an easily digestible fashion. Highly recommended.

The astrology book I have been searching for!! First off, this book is *beautiful* -- the overall design is very pleasing, the color palettes are the perfect combination of soothing + inspiring, and the illustrations are just delightful! The content of the book is exactly what I have been looking for, as a newbie to astrology. For a while, I have been wanting to learn more about astrology, particularly is how I can understand my personal chart, so that I can relate to others and understand what they are talking about in various conversations within the witchy community. What I wanted was an interactive workbook that guides me through the concepts and teaches me how to interpret my own chart along the way -- and that is EXACTLY what I got in this book! You can be that I pre-ordered a physical copy for myself after getting through the first chapter of the advance copy! After reading this book, I feel so much more knowledgeable, not just about astrology in general, but about my personal chart and the insights I've discovered about my life path. What felt especially satisfying was discovering how so much of the insights about me life *right now* were confirmation of things I have been learning via other means over the past few years. I LOVE this book, and would recommend it to anyone looking to get into astrology. If Chubb ends up writing an advanced version of this book, I would pre-order it in a heartbeat!!

The Ultimate Guide to Astrology By Tanaaz Chubb

Everyone with a desire to expand their knowledge of Astrology, the ancient mystery of the stars’ movements upon our lives, MUST, and I emphasize MUST, add Tanaaz Chubb’s new Ultimate Guide to Astrology to their collection.

This is a beautifully illustrated, well-designed, comprehensive, and (best of all) clearly explained Astrology “how-to” manual.

The Ultimate Guide to Astrology is easily understandable for beginners, yet will engage and hold the attention and interest of all enthusiasts. It is a Complete Astrological Compendium and Reference Guide for Everyone!

Chubb thoroughly explains in easy-to-grasp directions how to set-up and determine/calculate personal natal charts with the Sun, Moon and the planets—including some special features and aspects/nodes that are quite intriguing.

One of the obscure aspects explained is an asteroid, CHIRON, that is located far out in our galaxy. Circulating between Saturn and Uranus, the asteroid Chiron, is referred to in astrology as the wounded healer. According to Chubb, in our charts Chiron represents the wounds that we have come into this life to work through and transcend. “These wounds are not meant to be portals of weakness, but portals of strength.”

Another fascinating section in the book is “The Rose of Venus.” Chubb said that when, “Venus and Earth orbit the Sun, they do a dance with each other, creating a perfect pentagram or five-petal flower, which takes eight years to complete. This geometric pattern is known as the Rose of Venus.”

Chubb explained that because our heart is the birthplace of our intuition and our creativity, it's the source and connection to the love that we are. So, by charting the energies of our Venus sign, and working with the cycles of Venus, we can understand our heart and what it needs as we navigate through this life. Cool, huh?

Tanaaz Chubb’s new Ultimate Guide to Astrology is just that. It is by far, the most comprehensive and complete Astrology Instruction manual that I’ve come across in years—and that is saying a lot! Love it, gotta have it!

As an almost newbie in Astrology, I enjoyed this book. It has many good points regarding reading your birth chart and learning about planets. And most of all it’s beautifully designed and easy to navigate.

You can find here information on astrological houses, aspects, zodiac signs, and planets. Everything is explained so you can start this life-long journey of self-discovery through astrology. “The Ultimate Guide to Astrology” will allow you to understand concepts such as Moon Cycle, Mercury Retrograde, or Saturn Return.

Who is this book for:

✦ Total beginner in Astrology.
✦ Someone who wishes to learn how to create and read their astrological birth chart.
✦ A person who is overwhelmed and confused in the astrology field and would like a simple guide through planet and zodiac sign meanings.
✦ Someone who loves aesthetically pleasing books.

What could be improved:

I don’t see many things for improvement. As a beginner, I enjoyed every aspect of this book. I know that to get deeper knowledge about houses and more personal information, I’d have to reach for a more complex book.

Overall I enjoyed reading “The Ultimate Guide to Astrology” and I will recommend it to the readers of my blog.

I am such a huge fan of Astrology and have just finished a course on Astrology and Magick - and i'm even more intrigued and excited by the idea of Astrology since finishing. The more knowledge I have, the more I want haha!

I was lucky enough to be allowed to read an early electronic copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from NetGalley. I like how this book was laid out slightly different to other books I have read on astrology. I like how it focusses on the planets and then all of of the other details follow, but the way the book is structured is via the ruling planets. This is a different approach and I'm always up for looking at things in a new way.
The books makes looking up certain elements and dipping in and out of very easy. However, I'm not sure how useful this book would be for beginners to Astrology who are wanting to find out the key basics - rather than just looking up specifics.
The illustrations are absolutely beautiful and I love the striking larger images at the start of each chapter.
I also liked the charts to track your own thoughts/feelings - think this would come in very useful.

Overall I liked this book, and as I said it's original in it's structure - but I'm not sure how easy this book would be to follow for those new to Astrology.

Tanaaz Chubb's work on The Ultimate Guide to Astrology is incredible. The book is full of information about astrology, from explanations of the signs to activities that will aid in the reader's understanding of the stars.

Now, I love astrology, always have, and because of that, I am fairly up to date on what the different aspects of the planets mean and how they relate to each other. Not only is this book super informative, but it is also absolutely gorgeous. The color palette and the illustrations create an immersive experience that is hard to look away from.

I think that having this book on hand, especially while learning the basics of astrology, is a perfect choice. This book is useful for novices and experts or those who just like to read horoscope memes on Instagram.

In case you were wondering, I'm a Sagittarius Sun, Scorpio Moon, Gemini Rising. What's your Big 3?

Overall rating: 4/5

The Ultimate Guide to Astrology is available for purchase now. Be sure to add it to your Goodreads shelf and see where it's available for purchase. Also, be sure to check out Tanaaz Chubb's website!

The Ultimate Guide to Astrology Earns 4.5/5 Celestial Blueprints...Intriguing!

Curiosity and some basic exploration has lead me to “The Ultimate Guide to Astrology” by Tanaaz Chubb. “Use the Guidance of the Planets to Manifest Your Power and Purpose” intrigued me, however, I am a novice and this resource, I believe, is for one who doesn’t just dabble. Don’t overlook the Introduction which does preface the idea the “book will break down the basic components and set you on the path to read and understand the vibrations...messages they hold for you.” Starting off requires you have had a birth chart already done (I do have mine developed several decades ago), and then the sections help to define, decode, and interpret key elements. I found the explanations about “The Themes of Each [of the twelve] House[s]’ and “Zodiac Signs” very informative, and the remainder of the book goes into more detail about effects the planets have on those House characteristics and one’s own life. Fascinating resource!

Disclosure: I received an ARC from the publisher thru Edelweiss. My review is voluntary with honest insights and comments.

**Thank you NetGalley and Fair Winds Press for granting me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

I love Astrology and have always wanted to learn more about making a birth chart. I have read a few other books on this subject and this one had the best illustrations and charts to follow along with. It had some great information in it but I found myself struggling with how exactly to set up my birth chart. It was hard to follow along based on the info provided in the book but this might be just because I was such a newbie that I didn't even know most of the symbols meant. I think this book should be geared more towards the reader who already has some experience or basic understanding of birth charts.

I loved how much info the author gave on individual signs and personality traits. I got a much deeper understanding into the zodiac and how much influence is provided from other celestial bodies in the different houses.

This book came to me exactly when I needed it. Thank you.
The author explains about all the elements that make up our birth chart and how they influence us. It's even better if you already have your birth chart in hand, so as you read you'll recognize aspects of your personality that you might not have understood before, but that now will make perfect sense.

The illustrations are absolutely beautiful! It's a book I definitely want to have on my shelf and I'll probably re-read it many times until I can remember everything without help. I enjoyed it a lot and was very satisfied with what I learned. Totally recommended!

Although Astrology fascinates me and has from a very young age, I must admit that it is a practice that I do not put any credence into. However, if you wish to learn more about Astrology, this book is a fairly comprehensive guide. The book is well-written and well-organized and covers all the different aspects of natal charts and horoscopes that you may ever want to know.

I appreciate that the author didn't attempt to assign Astrology to any sort of solid science, nor make too many bold claims about the practice - it is simply presented as-is as information for the reader.

This book was definitely very interesting and newbie-friendly! The artwork was beautiful and it used language that was easy to understand if you know little to nothing about astrology. I personally am interested in learning more about astrology, but I don't think it is a tell-all of what a person is like or what "journey" they're on. Although there were a few parts that made me roll my eyes, I still learned a lot about astology, so this book did exactly what it was intented to do.

The Ultimate Guide to Astrology by Tanaaz Chubb is an excellent guide to the introduction to astrology. The book is divided into 3 parts. The 1st part deals with learning birth charts and the basics of the zodiac signs, the 2nd part deals with the sun and moon within the signs, and the 3rd part deals with the planets within each sign. This book has a lot of information simplified and would be very easy for beginner to follow. The illustrations and charts are absolutely beautiful and informative. Happy Stargazing!
