Note: The decision was made to consolidate all Disney publications under the name Walt Disney Company. This profile is for Walt Disney, the characters he created, and the company he founded. Any questions, please ask in the Librarian's Group.

Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.

Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.

Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) (commonly referred to as Disney) is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Founded on October 16, 1923, by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, the company was reincorporated as Walt Disney Productions in 1929. Walt Disney Productions established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and travel. Taking on its current name in 1986, The Walt Disney Company expanded its existing operations and also started divisions focused upon theatre, radio, publishing, and online media. In addition, it has created new divisions of the company in order to market more mature content than it typically associates with its flagship family-oriented brands.

The company is best known for the products of its film studio, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, today one of the largest and best-known studios in Hollywood. Disney also owns and operates the ABC broadcast television network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, and ABC Family; publishing, merchandising, and theatre divisions; and owns and licenses 11 theme parks around the world. On January 23, 2006, it was announced that Disney would purchase Pixar in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. The deal was finalized on May 5. On December 31, 2009, Disney Company acquired the Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4.24 billion. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company.

I had never read this far on the series and so far I can say I'm very disappointed. The drawing is just not as beautiful nor the narrative as cohesive. I have so many things to complain about!

Matt's characterization is all over the place. Starting with the fact that they completely ignore that Will had her phone off last time that he called her and was hanging out with random cute swimmer to the fact that introduces him not answering Will's texts, or that super random and out of place narrative where he's super cold and distant for a sec and they try to play this "will they won't they" "and "they hate each other but truly they love each other" cliché in the most horrible and forced way - I'm a sucker for that kind interaction, but here, with them, it just doesn't work. Especially not after the way they said goodbye to each other.

Irma's three previously established relationships are just thrown under the bus. Now we're meant to believe she just fell for this Stephen guy and forgot about Martin, Joel and even Kader - who had also been super shoved in the last saga - despite all those three relationship having a super nice set up for what they were trying to do here with Stephen.

Talking about Stephen, not only is he super bland and a non-person, his whole U18 gang are ridiculous and just... ridiculous. It makes no sense, doesn't go with previous world building, and, worst still, is even more outlandish than the idea of 5 13ish-year- olds saving the world in skimpy outfits.

I always enjoyed Irma's family life, but we don't see much more of her here. I lowkey expect an explanation of why Irma is identical to her stepmother when they're not even remotely related, but it's cool. I don't need that at all.

We continue with the dumbing down of Cornelia this saga and her relationship with Peter is also super boring and uncompelling compared to what it was. They have this nice part where they sort of touch upon the fact that she can be herself with him in a way she had never been with Caleb - an important point, given how her breakup with him went - but again, in the least interesting or engaging of ways. They shoved in this Romeo/Juliette relationship with her and Peter and her grandmother disapproving the match, but they never commit to the idea either. Lilian has become a non-character as well. They had this random plotline with her mother's first love and I really did enjoy that, but it lasted about one or two numbers.

The next witch is Taranee, who is now, suddenly adopted. They did a good enough job of that, I'm not complaining. It's just so out of the blue. And of course, as soon as it stopped serving the plot, we forgot about it. Why say her biological parents are alive and loved her if we are just going to drop it like that? How come the Cooks decided to adopt her? How did they come across her if they weren't looking to adopt - as her father states - and lived in a completely different city? It makes zero sense. And yes, a series can have magical girls and make sense, even if it's a comic. When Tara left Nigel -ah, how can I forget that dropped, precious thread... it was so interesting and original! - it was sort of suggested she had feelings for Nigel. Here we completely forget that and now she falls for a random dude at a camp who we never hear of again and her lovestory is just dropped.

It's not that I don't think a character can't be a good character and have good storylines without a love interest - they can have one and have completely uninteresting stories, like Will, Cornelia and Irma - but I can't help but notice which characters lost spotlight and love interests and find it super fishy.

Last is Hay Lin. I liked her stories. Moving is hard, and it did imply less time hanging out with her family - which is clearly something important to her. I have always enjoyed her rellationship with her grandma, though Yan Lin got a tad bit of the MarySue this saga. I don't mind at all. I think I enjoyed Hay Lin most. Certainly better than the cowering thing she had going on last saga.

I also couldn't help noticing that Mother was white as a lily when she was "pure" and became dark-skinned as soon as she became a villain. There's an in-universe reason we can sort of guess, related to her being an earth master and all, but I'm just saying: I noticed.

I also think a HUGE ball was dropped here. Mother's powers are o intertwined with Cornelia's, and one can even say they could have similar struggles, but nothing was done with that. And it's cool.

Oh! And of course, Will's brother, Will. I loved the idea of Dean and Susan having a child. But not only did the preganncy pass in a jiffy, I hate the fact that he's magical. I know that's going to be part of the next saga but it doesn't make sense and no one can convince me otherwise. Meh.

Ugh! And I forgot! The outfits! They're all horrible except for Hay Lin's I hate the fact that the skirts are like third arms. I like the fact that they can now fly. That was a pet peeve of me before - now it peeves me because there's a whole new thing taken from the show, which I don't like at all.

I now the past outfits were skimpy, but they were pretty and totally what 13 year olds would think is cool. I thought they were the coolest as a child.

The Dark Mother has invaded Kandrakar, and the only way to defeat her is to unify the power of the elements - but W.I.T.C.H is growing cocky, almost unrecognizable, and their arrogance could be the downfall of both worlds! Gnone weaves an energetic finale that, stumbling through uneven pacing, is layered with plenty of heart and humour. Can the girls get their act together, or shall their pride goeth before the fall of Kandrakar?

Just to begin with: While I think that this book and the previous are better than the first in this ARC, neither are good. But because they are better than the first book, they get a 2 star. Mostly because I didn't cringe my way through all of it, just half...

About this book:
It wraps up the story with Mother, which was... anticlimactic. They made this big deal about finding their connection in a filler chapter, then the girls were suddenly super proud and arrogant, to the point that they didn't seem like themselves at all. It was, apparently, a plot point, but we never got to know WHY they changed so drastically! It could have been an interesting plot, how the pure powers may corrupt, and almost become sentient in their own right. But no, they were just arrogant girls, and they had to show one more ''this is true friendship'' comment into it all.

I was very disappointed that they didn't do anything with the fact that Mother and Cornelia share the same source of power. They could have made a 2 chapter fight out of that! Instead of whatever this thing was...

Will's brother continue annoying me. Both his name, and the fact that he has powers. As I mentioned regarding book 2, this totally retcons everything from previous books about our Earth not being magical.

And again, I have to comment on the art!
While I very clearly noticed the difference in the girls from previous ARCs, this book had a part about the adults in the series at the end, where they used art from the first ARC, and the difference was so clear!

I know I've said it in previous chapters, but at this point, it all feels like it's money grabbing. The story is only halfway there, taking turns that don't make sense and having side plots that are hollow and forced, and the art is cheap at best. I kinda hate the fact that I already own the next ARC, because I don't want to support something that is dumbing things down and clearly just doing it for the money at this point, but the series was finished ages ago, so me buying and reading them now won't make any difference.

Who knows, maybe things get better in the next ARC? (She said with a pit in her stomach, because she knows what's coming and she's hating it already)

I'm giving this 5 stars due to pure enjoyment. But this is by the far the most flawed of the W.I.T.C.H. arcs and the most disappointing. I could go on about why this is, but there are other reviews that do a pretty good job of explaining it for me so I'll let you read those.

In short, I just feel like this arc was a little all over the place. It felt like our main villain was evil just for the sake of being evil. I would've liked a bit more depth to her. The plot with Irma's new love interest escalates a lot quicker than I preferred. Will's brother having powers was kind of expected, but I'm not really a fan of that. I can only imagine where that's going. And I still can't figure out the whole Matt thing. It just feels so out of character and still feels like it's breaking previously established rules and storylines in this universe. There were also several storylines that I'd have loved more from, but they kind of just...faded away. And with the exception of Hay Lin's outfit, I miss the old ones.

Despite that, I loved seeing an emphasis on Hay Lin and Yan Lin's relationship. Even though it wasn't nearly as prominent here, I always enjoy seeing Peter and Cornelia together. And you can tell the girls are growing up.

This third volume in particular lacked something. I don't know what. Maybe it's just a combination of everything I mentioned above. It definitely doesn't have the same feel to it that the older arcs did. But I still enjoyed it. I still had fun. And it's still an easy 5 star read for me despite it being far from perfect.

Cierre de saga muy a la ligera... Tramas de personajes que se acaban sin explicación... Espero que la siguiente me guste más

Things were proceeding nicely until all the girls started acting hugely out of character in the final battle. Seemed like it was just there so that they could have one final emotional challenge to overcome, but wasn't that what all the root of their power quests were for? Weird climax to this story arc.

This story is getting close to where I stopped reading over a decade ago, the last time I tried to get through these comics. I recall the story cohesiveness kind of falling off and old character development plots getting retread and that seems to be the same general feeling I'm getting now. Not giving up yet, but the quality has definitely gone down from the older story arcs.

I'm still confused about how Matt became Kandrakar's coach. Still just feels like it came out of nowhere.

Also, spoiler but

I do not know if the drawings are as beautiful as before or even better, but we feel that there is a big narrative change! The girls evolve into the final version of their respective Pokémon (so to speak), and they must tame an ultra powerful magic, approaching a little closer to adulthood.

However, I have never seen girls so weak and arrogant. This passage is as short as a blink of an eye but has not gone unnoticed. They go through all the stages of maturity, you have to be a little silly before ripening.

But that was just the beginning! What I loved is that every girl has an entire chapter about her and the acquisition of her new power. This arc marks a definitive turning point in the story and the enemy of this 7th part is described - and I think it’s true - as the worst obstacle of girls so far. No element of the past is left behind, so I did not feel this nostalgia for the first volumes. On the contrary, the evolution was necessary and comes at a perfect time, for the reader as for the characters.

Clearly not the best arc - the general idea is decent and most parts of it are still fun (getting control of the new powers, relationship development, I like that we're getting more slice of life in later arcs), but starting here the story is kind of starting to disintegrate. It feels like there are people working on it that don't really know the entire series (or care about it), so there are more and more continuity errors, plot holes, and various other things that just don't make sense in the context of the whole series. The villain in this arc was also not the most interesting or even original - it feels like the company is trying to recreate the magic of the first couple arcs, but ends up only plagiarizing itself.

Not quite as enamoured of this arc after completing it. A little too much retconning, some of which didn't even make sense to itself - - twists either fizzled or otherwise didn't have enough leadup for proper impact, and the main story was very much previously trodden territory. That said, I only gave it three stars in relation to the rest of the story. Still greatly looking forward to more.

The final battle of this arc felt very rushed after all the build up but over all fun, and shows them all growing up which is so refreshing to see.
