I'm not sure why so many people are surprised that the information in this book is not new or revolutionary. The book never promises to be that. It does, however, promise to provide reasons why you could be exhausted and different areas of your life to evaluate. I liked the way the information was presented and the examples provided were clear and easily connectable to the point the authors were trying to make.
There is no NEW information about our health that you have not (most likely) heard before. If you think that there is some miracle cure out there for your issues it's time for a reality check. This book provides a nice breakdown of the root causes and how to treat them or at least where to start looking and what tools you can use that may be able to help.
If you've read all the self-help books for exhaustion, yeah, you're probably not going to learn anything new. You could learn a different perspective though and that could be all you need to get your health journey on track.
This is a great book for individuals who don’t know where to begin in their health journey. It provides information to help readers diagnose the reasons behind their exhaustion. It’s perfect for the person who has no idea or knowledge on how to exercise self-care or self-love. The book provides great information and solutions that the reader can incorporate into their lifestyle to remedy their exhaustion and to begin living a happier, healthy and energetic life.
This is the first nonfiction book I’ve started and finished in, like, over a year, so that has to get a few stars out of me. That said, this book really opened my eyes to my exhaustion, but I’m also left at a standstill.
According to this book, I feel like the world has become a toxic environment filled with toxic substances in our food, air, clothes, habits, relationships, everything. We are basically set up to fail. The only sure-fire way to get out of the exhaustion is to spend $1,000,000 on medical tests from someone other than your general practitioner, like a functional doctor, and then only buy organic food, drinks, makeup products, hair care products, etc. which will also cost your kidneys and your first born child to afford. Anyways, some of the things in this book were helpful, but a lot of it just called me poor 💔
This is a well-written, highly readable and structured look at the factors that cause exhaustion in our busy lives. I've been struggling with exhaustion for a while, working with functional medicine doctors and various tests, but this book hit home the different areas that need to be addressed. It helped me to pinpoint what went wrong, where I need to focus my efforts, and what I need to do to recover. Because "Exhausted" takes you through each major area section by section, it's easy to see the bigger picture of your own life. Simple things that my doctors missed, became obvious in reading the book: Lack of proper sleep, for one. If you're exhausted, it's an easy read and won't tax you too much, but will help you.
Siiski suurem probleem on tõlkimisega.
I really liked this book. At first i got sleepy about the eating the right foods and even explaining it scientifically. I was going to quit but I’m glad i read through it all. One big thing for me was how everyone is different and the solutions won’t be the same. I did hope for a one solution cure though. It is indeed a journey you have to find the right path for yourself. I enjoyed the many real example stories that came with the chapters, and some funny bits in there that made me want to keep hiking through this book. It does also talk about spirituality towards the end.
Book describes reasons for exhaustion as an energy imbalance, and proposes reason and steps to renew it. Not a lot of new info you don’t already know - a lot of known common sense advice like eat your veggies for better gut health and get better sleep.
The authors seemed to struggle with sharing the information in a concise and clear manner. So it was difficult to retain seemingly important details. Instead, this read like a stream of consciousness and, in many parts, was rudimentary and a bit problematic.
An interesting read... I didn't agree with everything the book had to say... But I did learn some new things.... Always a good thing in this quest to be the best version of myself that I can be.
Clickbait title. Maybe I have read too many self help books but there’s nothing new here. And a tap water hater- where are you supposed to get those healthy minerals?
There was some interesting science in this book, and I will say that I've started to incorporate some of the more practical solutions into my daily life and I feel that my body is beginning to heal.
