A duke by any other name…

When the Duke of Dashlington gets stuck into a tiny village during a snowstorm, there is little to do but drink himself into a stupor. The problem? Well, it’s hard to count just one. He stumbles into the snow, falls down, and can’t seem to get himself back up again. Imagine the indignity of dying in a snowbank? But when a little Christmas angel comes and rescues him, he can’t resist stealing a kiss. She looks heaven sent and tastes like the sweetest gingerbread. It all seems innocent enough until the next morning when he realizes she was no angel but an eligible lady and one who might just request marriage as a boon. How does a duke get out of such a situation? He lies about his identity, of course. Which means his troubles are only just beginning.

A lady in need of a Christmastide miracle…

Lady Noelle hasn’t slept properly in months. Which is exactly why she is awake when an unknown gentleman falls into the snow. When he doesn’t rise, she dashes to his rescue, forgetting all about the wish she’d just been making on a Christmas star. A request to help her sisters overcome the loss of their mother. But once she reaches the gentleman, several things become apparent. He’s young, handsome, well dressed, and possibly, her wish come true…

Now, if he’d just cooperate.

Happy Holidays! Tammy Andresen has wrapped your latest holiday romance in, of course, love and sweet fun! Lady Noelle had just wished upon a star when what to her wondering eyes should appear but a dashing and drunken man sprawled in the snow at 3 a.m. No, her wish wasn’t or a man, it was for happiness for her family this Yuletide season.
The Duke of Dashington was “stuck” in a quiet and quaint village due to a brutal snowstorm. Too bad the rake was looking for something a little bawdier and decided to drink his stay away. Awakening to an angel hovering above him, he stole a kiss that tasted of Gingerbread…was he dreaming? If not, was she more devil than angel, after his title and wealth?

MY DASHING DUKE is another fun, heart-warming historical romance centered around the holidays that guarantees a smile on your face and a tug on your heartstrings as once again, another rake bites the dust. Now, if only he were honest with her…he could keep her forever.

I just love these sweet romances from Tammy Andresen, it’s the journey to the end of the tale that brightens my day, every time!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Tammy Andresen! This is my honest and voluntary review.

A whirlwind romance between a ginger cookie loving lady and a Baron impersonating Duke.

This is a seasonal romance that gives you all the beautiful feelings of the season with a little extra passion thrown in .

These two have instant attraction and chemistry in spades, so grab a hold of your heart when reading this fast paced and enjoyable book , the first in this series.

A wonderful collaboration between two great romance authors, Tammy and Annabelle have a great hit on their hands with this first in series is anything to go by.

“I’m here to taste your cookies.”
“My lush little pastry.”
“His sweet cookie crisp.”

It was so bad that I was laughing. And the names! Noelle, Holly, Eve, Mr. Kringle, Lord Blitzencreek, Mr. Rudolph. It lacks subtlety, wit, and charm.

Also, COOKIES. Constant use of a word that wasn’y used in England.

A truly delightful story that is perfect for an afternoon read, snuggled up in your favourite chair! I so enjoyed Dash and Noelle's story, it's filled with romance, humour and the warmth of the Christmas season. There's also the trouble that Dash finds himself in when he omits telling Noelle that he's really a Duke and not just a Baron!!

Usually when it's a novella, characters are underdeveloped but I’m impressed by how Tammy and Annabelle's characters are so well developed in such a short novel! At first, Dash comes across as a scoundrel, only intent on drinking and carousing but we soon see the difference in him when he meets Noelle. As for Noelle, all she wants is to help her sisters, never thinking about herself. She and Dash soon heat up the pages and warm up your heart.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Will him lying tear them apart ...

I love these two authors works, so I tried to discern who did write what but I am not good enough for that.
Still it is a lovely story with a Christmas spirit in it.
Noelle (perfectly named as it is the feminine version of the first name Noel, also meaning Christmas in French.) is a sweet nurturing young miss. When she lands a peer at her new home’s doorstep, she sees a way out to their family’s conundrum but never expected a marriage of convenience’s proposal. Yet the more she thinks about it, the more it is the answer to her fear of love. After witnessing her father becoming a shell of his own self after her mother’s passing, she thinks avoiding love is self preservation.
Dash to avoid a bunch of matchmaking mamas presents himself under one of his lesser title, never expecting to be caught unaware. He sees him outside of his title as unworthy of love, his mother having crushed any crumb he might feel loved. So when the little fairy who rescued him from his tumble in snow accept under his baron title his marriage proposal, he feel he is on the right path.
But what about her reaction when his lofty title is revealed. Will he trust himself to be enough...

A cute read with a naughty side.

My Dashing Duke features a delightful romance set at Christmastime between a man who has sworn off love and the woman who captures his heart.

As the first Christmas without her mother approaches, sleep eludes Lady Noelle Bailey. When a snowstorm hits her village, Noelle watches the snow fall out her window while everyone is asleep. After she sees a man fall in the snow who doesn't get back up, she runs out into the snow to rescue him. The last place the Duke of Dashlington wants to be is stuck in this tiny village, so he decides to drink the time away. When he goes outside for some fresh air, he falls into the snow and gets stuck only to be rescued by an angel who smells of gingerbread. Upon waking in the morning, Dash realizes he was in fact not rescued by an angel but by an eligible lady. To avoid a hasty marriage, Dash lies about his identity only to find himself falling for Noelle anyway.

Noelle is the middle of three sisters who after the death of their mother have somewhat drifted apart. After their father was unable to cope with the loss of his wife, he sent Noelle and her sisters to live with their aunt. With the loss of her mother, Noelle is desperate to hold onto the family she has left and to ensure their happiness. She no longer desires a love match for herself due to witnessing grief destroy her father, but she hopes to help her sisters. Dash grew up in a home without love as his mother wanted nothing to do with his father, or Dash, save for being a duchess. As a result, Dash believes himself incapable of finding anyone who would love him. Listening to Dash talk about his childhood was heartbreaking and it explained why he was hesitant to tell Noelle the truth about who he was.

Noelle and Dash's relationship gets off to an interesting start. He wants to avoid being guilted into marriage in return for her saving him and when he finally comes around to the idea, Noelle informs him she meant for him to marry her older sister, not her. It's clear though that these two have great chemistry and Dash quickly informs her if he's going to marry anyone it will be her. The attraction between these two is instantaneous and when their relationship begins to progress physically, it is very well done. The scenes are steamy and plentiful despite the shortness of the story. When Dash's identity is revealed, it does cause problems in the pair's relationship and I do wish he had told the truth sooner. Thankfully it doesn't take too long to resolve the problem.

In addition to Noelle and Dash's romance, there are hints throughout the book that her sisters Eve and Holly are involved in romances of their own with the two friends Dash arrived in town with. Holly's romance is in the next book in the series, My Yuletide Earl, and Eve's is in the final book in the series, My Merry Marquess. I'm looking forward to reading both of their stories, particularly Eve's as it was hinted that there was a tragic backstory.

Overall My Dashing Duke was a fun read and I would recommend it if you're looking for a quick holiday romance.

My Dashing Duke is the first book in the Wallflower’s Christmas Wish series from Tammy Andresen and Annabelle Anders, and it was an adorable quick read that I was happy to devour.

I’ve read many Tammy Andresen books and I consider Annabelle Anders to be one of my favourite authors in the genre, which left me eager to see what their minds would come up with when they worked together. With plenty packed into the story, the two have provided a novella that is difficult to put down. With plenty of sweet moments throughout, I quickly fell for the characters and the story. Add in all the hints of what is to come in the future books, and I found myself desperate to dive right into the next book.

Without a doubt, this was a wonderful read from two authors that worked brilliantly together.

I wish I could get the time back I wasted reading this book

Complete and utter nonsense. Just call it a fairytale and get on with it. It's not a Regency novel. It's nothing but a story based on an idea and then the author decided to set the story during the Regency, in a village presumably in the English countryside, with the protagonists supposedly of the British aristocracy. Not even close.

**Trigger Warnings Below**

Heroine: Lady Noelle Bailey, age unknown. Parents unknown.

Hero: Dash (a nickname; given name unknown), 28. The Duke of Dashlington.

Date: unknown

How they meet: Dash and his friends are stranded at an inn during a snowstorm. Noelle is staying with an aunt in town and happens to be looking out the window when Dash passes out in a snowbank after drinking too much. She goes outside to rouse him and get him to safety.

What happens: Noelle takes Dash back to her aunt’s house and the next morning he introduces himself by one of his lesser titles, not letting on that he is a duke. Noelle decides Dash owes her a favor for rescuing him: marriage. She is doing it for the good of her sisters.

Trigger Warnings:

Verdict: This book was a train wreck from the start and there really was no way to recover from it. The heroine finds the hero passed out drunk in a snowbank and without knowing a thing about his character, his family, or his financial status, she decides he’s husband material. And worse, she’s ready to pair him up with her sister! She must really hate her sister to set her up to marry a random drunk guy she barely knows! Then suddenly she’s ready to marry the guy herself (despite still hardly knowing him). The reader gets so little background on the main characters. We don’t really know their history (other than that he’s a rake), anything substantial about the type of people they are, nor what they want out of life. We don’t even know the hero’s given name! It is next to impossible to care about what happens to either of them. Further, the relationship between the hero and heroine is unbelievable. They don’t really learn much about each other and the main connection seems to be a physical attraction (and even that wasn’t super convincing). As a side note, the constant wasting of food in this book was supposed to be funny (I guess) or maybe it was to point out how ridiculously privileged the family is, but it was yet another turn-off about the story. This co-writing experiment was a failure. I’ve only read one of the two authors previously and found her to be a decent writer, but this was a complete flop as a romance. I do not recommend this one at all.

Steam-level: steamy and explicit

Lady Noelle Bailey hasn’t slept properly in months not since her mother died & her father retreated into himself. Which is exactly why she is awake when an unknown gentleman falls into the snow. When he doesn’t rise, she dashes to his rescue.
A lovely heart warming story, of course keeping his identity a secret is never going to end well but I loved how Dash & Noelle fell head over heels for each other especially when he didn’t want to marry & she wanted her older sister Eve to marry. I was captivated from cover to cover & read it in a sitting, there’s also something afoot between Noelle's sisters & Dash's friends, so I can't wait to read their stories. A well written story as you would expect from the authors, well paced & with delightful characters, I loved it

My Dashing Duke is the first book in the new Wallflower’s Christmas Wish series. It’s a perfect holiday romance book to get into the holiday spirit. It was short so I was able to read it in one sitting. The characters were charming, and the storyline was interesting. Lady Noelle and her two sisters had just moved in with their Aunt Winifred after their father had fallen into despair from their mother’s death. Having problems sleeping, Noelle was awake and looking outside when she saw someone fall into the packed snow. Realizing the stranger was not going to get up on their own, she rushes outside to help. Not knowing the gentleman or where he came from, she takes him to her aunt’s house. The Duke of Dashlington “Dash” and his friends were on his way to a house party when they got stranded at an inn by the snow. Waking up in a strange house after drunkenly stumbling into the snow was not his best day. Dash had no intention of marrying and when Noelle requests an offer of marriage, he is intrigued to learn she wants him to marry her oldest sister, not her. Eventually, Noelle and Dash agree to a marriage of convenience but can love alter their plans?
I received an ARC from the author and am willingly leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Very engaging story of Lady Noelle and "Dash" the Duke of Dashlington, two people who are not looking for marriage, and definitely not looking for love. Dash is stranded in a small village on the way to a party and is rescued from an accident by the lovely Noelle. He is intrigued by her but all she wants is for him to marry her sister. At 148 pages this would be considered a long novella, I believe, but all the background needed is there, the characters are well fleshed out, dialogue is engaging and real and there is a believable amount of steam (they don't fall into bed at the first glance). Hints are given for the next book in the series, and I'm very much looking forward to reading. Highly recommend if looking for a good quick read.

This was a lighthearted, humorous read. Three sisters had come to stay with their aunt in a small village. Three friends were also forced to stay in the village due to the weather conditions. Dash and his friends, Jack and Nick enjoyed a life of drinking and women, not taking life too seriously. Noelle and her sisters, Eve and Holly were feeling the loss of their mother, especially at this time of year. Dash and Noelle meet and Noelle has a boon to ask of him. Not something Dash wishes to hear. I enjoyed the humour between the sisters, especially in the snow. There is a misunderstanding before a happy ending is achieved. There are also the stories of the other characters to come. This was an entertaining story. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

My Dashing Duke is a fun holiday historical romance by Tammy Andresen and Annabelle Anders. Team Andresen/Anders has provided readers with a well-written book loaded with lovable characters. Dash is the Duke of Dashlington but when rescued from a snowbank he gave one of his lesser titles to keep the young lady that rescued him from trapping him into marriage for his title. Noelle lost her mother a year ago and her father sent her and her sisters away to live with her aunt. She saw Dash fall into the snow and when he didn't get up she rushed out to save him from freezing. Dash and Noelle's story is packed with drama, humor, sexy bits and a little suspense. I enjoyed reading My Dashing Duke and look forward to reading more from Tammy Andresen and Annabelle Anders in the future. This is book 1 of the Wallflower's Christmas Wish Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What's Christmastide without a big Dash of Noelle? Three friends on their way to to a lovely party involving an eligible widow, yes one can only imagine, get stuck at an inn due to the snow. What else is there to do but drink until the snow passes?

Unfortunately, or rather it may have been fortuitous, Dash, the Duke of Dashington (oh yes I love it!) wanders out in the snow to get some air. After all he is totally foxed, not realizing how deep the snow is and promptly falls. Lady Noelle, who had been looking out at the stars, with a wish on her lips, sees him fall and goes to help him into the house. Of course he asks for a kiss....

But when he wakes up the next morning, he wants to meet the angel who rescued him and finds himself in the presence of a marriageable lady, who deems he owes her his hand in marriage. Ok, what? Oh yes and he falsely gives his title of Baron, not Duke.

With this dynamic duo of fabulous authors, who are two of my favorite, this story was guaranteed to win my heart. Oh yes, it definately did!! Cannot wait for the next two!

Not regency

Just because one throws Earls, Marquees and Dukes into a story does not make it Regency this is more about debauchery than anything else, not in the least bit realistic or English!

Starring Lady Noelle Joy Bailey and Dash, The Duke of Dashlington ... aka Baron Blitzencreek.

Tropes:
Stranded at an inn
In disguise

Butterflies... and snow angels... and gingerbread kisses... oh my!! This was such a wonderful novella. Dash and Noelle made me smile throughout the story. Two people who refuses to have anything to do with love, but are so very much drawn to each other like two perfect magnets. I love that Dash and Noelle are always sneaking in kisses and a few other delicious encounters in between. These two are hawt, y’all... and will totally give you all the yummy feels!!

This story is intertwined with the other two books in the Wallflower’s Christmas Wish series... but could also be read as a stand alone. Although you’ll definitely be curious to know about the other two Bailey sisters and Dash’s friends. The other two novellas are: My Yuletide Earl by Tammy Andresen and My Merry Marquess by Annabelle Anders. Can’t wait to read them!!

This is my second Tammy Andresen experience and I’m totally loving her writing style. Annabelle Anders is one of my keeper shelf author and will read anything she writes. Together these two are a dynamic duo!! Glad they collaborated to write this beautiful story that made me ugly cry AF!!

Oh and kudos points for working in the title in the book!! I love it when authors do that!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily review it and the comments are 100% my own.

My star rating: 5 stars: Ugly cried AF. Major book hangover. Characters and storyline were freaken amazeballs. Made me wanna hug the authors for writing a book that gave me all the feels!! Will definitely be adding this story to my Annual Holiday Romance Book re-reads!!

This is going to be a holiday fun series by Tammy Andresen & Annabelle Anders - I love both authors, so I'm sure the readers will enjoy this holiday entertainment! It centers around three noblemen on their way to a widow's debauched house party when they become stranded in a small country town due to a horrendous snowstorm. Add the second part of the equation and you have three young sisters who have just moved to this small town to live with their Dowager Countess Aunt, who prefers the house she grew up in over the London scene.

The Duke of Dashlington & his friends, the Marquess of Merriweather & Earl of Tidemore are very bored with this slow country entertainment and proceed to all get completely foxed. Dash decides to go outside to get some air and passes out in the snow. He is awoken by an angel who tastes like sweet gingerbread & the next thing he remembers is waking naked in a frilly bedroom.

Lady Noelle Bailey is a lovely innocent and since their mother passed a year ago, her sisters & her have drifted apart. But now, after saving the baron's life, she hopes to ask for a boon so she can him marry her sister, Eve. Things didn't work out that way and the friendship, family love, misunderstandings, innocent lies eventually lead to a HEA. I highly recommend this entertaining, humorous holiday read & I cannot wait to read the next one in the series.

I was gifted the Advanced Reader Copy of this book & all opinions are my own & have been voluntarily given.

Dash the Duke of Dashlington and two friends get stranded in a quaint little village due to a snow storm. After spending the evening drinking, because, what else is there to do, Dash is inebriated and in need of a little fresh air to clear his head. He heads outside and ends up in a snowbank.
Noelle Bailey hasn't been sleeping well since she and her sisters came to live with their aunt. She's looking out the window when she sees a man weaving around and fall into the snow. When he doesn't get up, she rushes outside to help him. She believes he could be just what the sisters need to be happy again. She knows she knows she never wants to fall in love, after witnessing her father down spiral after the death of her mother.
Dash doesn't believe he's a lovable person. He's drawn to Noelle but he decides it's best to not tell her his real name and title. Noelle tells him the right thing to do is get married so they decide to have a marriage of convenience.
This is a wonderful, fast paced, short story with some "Dashing" throught the snow in a sleigh, stolen steamy kisses, ginger cookies, snow angels, a castle and a little deceit that needs to be straightened out.
This is book one in the new Wallflower Christmas series. There are three books in the series that are all intertwined.
I received this book as a free ARC and this is my honest review.

I liked the character's but I dislike with a passion when the story is based on deception. The H pretends to be a Baron and not the Duke that he is. I understood in the beginning , why he introduced himself as a Baron. It had to do with how he was brought up and how aloof his mother is. But, as the h was an open book on her family, he had plenty of opportunity to tell the h the truth and he didn't.

The h allows a lot of liberties with the H after only knowing him less than a day. There is lovemaking outside of marriage heat level 5 out of 5.

You get the feeling of 3 stories, but only one that is told fully that of our h/H. The h's 2 sister's and the H's 2 friends have history or relationship blooming. We are not privy to these stories, so sorta cliffhanger for the other two couples. Their stories are already out. But, from reviews, most of books 2 and 3 are rehash of this one, but with the other couples. So will have to be on sale for me to purchase.

I couldn't tell where one author left off and another started, so blended well. No cheating, some crude talk, HEA, no cliffhanger for our h/H, some romance and plenty of steam.

I agree with another reviewer, no idea why called Wallflower in title, because from description they are pretty women. I am not going into the blurb, because I can't improve on it, just what you may get out of reading it. (ljb)

Noelle and Dash

Noelle is sitting at her window wishing on the stars since she cannot sleep again! It had to be after midnight, but, she wasn't sleepy. She is staring out her window at the statue in the town's square, or rather that's what she thought she was looking at, when it not only moved, but, stumbled and fell over! What was she to do? She kept watching begging for the man to get back up, only he never did. She quickly pulls on her coat and boots and hope's she can find him in the snow before he freezes to death! She finally finds him and tries to get him to rise, but, he refuses unless she gives him a kiss. What? A kiss? She finally agrees and together she finally gets him to her aunts home where Mr. Clark is about to come out to get her. He takes charge and takes the man upstairs to a guest room and tells her to go back to bed. The next morning when he awakens he tells everyone he is, Baron of Blitzencreek, not his true title being Duke of Dashlington. Why? What is he trying to hide? Then when he confronts her she asks for a boon. What could she possibly want from him? Only one way to find out, read this great story by Tammy Anderson and Annabelle Anders. See how Noelle's act of selflessness affects Dash!

steamy romance; Noelle is the dark-haired and middle sister of the three Bailey sisters. Late at night she sees the Duke of Dashlington aka Baron of Blitzencreek with nickname Dash. fall into a snow bank after leaving the Crowing Cock Inn quite totally foxed. She rushes out to rescue him and Mr. Clark, the butler for her aunt, puts him into a room to recover. For the sake of her reputation, Mr. Clark gets credit for finding Dash. Noelle invites Dash to tea. To keep anyone from taking advantage of his title, he uses one of his lesser titles as a baron. Basically, Noelle and Dash fall for each other, but there is a problem when Noelle discovers that Dash is a duke. She reacts emotionally. Dash and Jack, the Earl of Tidemore, rush off to London in a fit of pique. Nick the Marquess stays behind. Noelle and Holly, the blonde youngest sister, have a change of heart and catch up to them at the Wavering Goat Inn. Noelle and Dash are one of three marriages. There are 3 books in the series which should be read in order. There are recaps in books 2 and 3 but not enough for the complete stories in all their details.

A Duke, a Marquess, and an Earl walk into an inn, and get stranded in a snowstorm. What happens next is laugh-out-loud funny. Dash, the Duke of Dashlington, along with a couple of his friends ride out the storm by drinking themselves into oblivion. Thinking it might help him sober a little and help him feel better a lot, Dash leaves the inn to get some fresh air. When he becomes lost and falls flat on his face in the snow, he is rescued by a Christmas fairy. It’s a Christmas miracle. Lady Noelle Baily isn’t a fairy, but she is lovely, kind, and caring. The chemistry between Dash and Noelle is hot. They make a fantastic couple (or they will if the little lie Dash told can be forgiven). Can the two of them find the love they both want and need in each other?

My Dashing Duke is the first story in the Wallflower’s Christmas wish series. This is a really fun story and a great beginning for the series. The entire cast of characters is charming and entertaining. I love the snarky banter, especially about poor cook’s worsening attempts at food preparation. The obvious tension between the Baily girls and Dash’s friends is interesting. It makes you want to know what happens next. Great holiday read. I recommend it.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
