Miluju ilustrace. Ale to je asi tak všechno.
s. 15 Mumínci mají doma bordel (špinavé nádobí pod pohovkou...). Ale dokud jim to sousedka neřekne, tak jim to ani nepřijde. Naštěstí jim poradí, že potřebují posluhovačku. Aby pak zjistili, že je milá, ale neschopná, a že bordel je sice bordel, ale jejich.
Nechápu, že někoho nenapadlo, že by třeba to nádobí vzal, umyl a uklidil?
s. 111 „Chceš slyšet, co dělá dobrý přítel?“ otočila se k němu slečna Ferka. „Říká ti to, co NECHCEŠ slyšet.“
Že to neplatilo, když paní f musela tatínkovi říct, že je netáhlo a aby konečně zvedl zadek a šel něco dělat.
Na s. 118 byla maminka zatčena kvůli podezření z vraždy. A tatínek detektiv přišel na to, že to musel být on, protože vylučovací metodou mu nikdo jiný nezbyl.
Aby se pak ukázalo, že nikdo vlastně neumřel?
Co to jako mělo být?
s. 121 Muminek se v lese marně snažil postavit skrýš. Pak se toho ujala maminka a za pár minut zbudovala pevné přístřeší i s ohništěm, na němž začala grilovat zeleninou k večeři.
Maminka je takový MacGyver. Takže sice byla v cele, ale s sebou v kabelce měla tyč s háčkem na konci (s. 119), sirky, zeleninu a podle ilustrace i dřevěnou solničku.

Kirjan tarinat perustuvat täysin uuden animaatiosarjan jaksoihin, eivätkä ne muodosta yhtenäistä juonta. Kuvitukset on niin ikään nostettu 3d-animoidun sarjan kohtauksista.
Lukukokemus oli tympeä, sillä kirjassa käytetty kieli oli puisevaa ja väritöntä, aivan kuin olisi lukenut jaksojen käsikirjoituksia muutamilla täytesanoilla. Tarinoihin oli saksittu sieltä täältä pätkiä muumikirjoista ja sarjakuvista, mutta ne olivat kokonaan irti kontekstistaan ja yritetty tunkea puolituntiseen action-henkiseen slapstick-komiikkaan nojaavan lastenohjelman sabluunaan - kehnoin tuloksin.
Tarinat eivät tosiaan tee oikeutta lähdeaineistoilleen ja niissä on jotain todella pahasti pielessä. Tulee lukiessa jopa luotaantyöntävä olo, niin kaukana muumit ovat alkuperäisistä esikuvistaan. Tässä ne on pelkistetty karikatyyrimäisiksi hahmoiksi jotka törmäilevät toisiinsa, rikkovat paikkoja ja laukovat huonoja puujalkavitsejä. Animaatiohahmot kuvissa ovat valjuja ja elottomia, ja melko ilmeettömiä - johtuisikohan siitä, että ne on nostettu animaatiosta eli liike puuttuu.
Suosittelen kaikille alkuperäisiä Tove Janssonin sarjakuvia, kuvakirjoja ja lastenkirjallisuutta tämän tekeleen sijaan.

I used to absolutely love the Moomins so I was very excited to read this beautiful book!
It has a gorgeous foil cover and would make the perfect Christmas gift.
The book is based on a brand new animation series which is closely derived from the original series by Tove Jansson.
More adventures in Moominvalley is a collection of nine exciting stories. The Moomins and their friends meet the Invisible Child, investigate a mysterious disappearance and have a midwinter adventure. Our favourite story was the not so spooky ghost that haunted Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden!
The book is full of the wonderful full colour artwork from the animations and we have really enjoyed sharing the individual stories at bedtimes.
My daughter has fallen in love with the cute little characters and their exciting adventures! Moominvalley is such a lovely place to live and it was so nice to see all the familiar characters. Moomintroll, Moominmamma, Moominpappa and their friends Snufkin, Little My and Snorkmaiden. A cuddly Moomin has been added to the Christmas list!

2.5 stars Lacks most of the charm of Tove Jansson’s work. This is clearly a book that’s re-telling TV episodes that were based on her books.
