John, the Duke of Burgundy, was an unbelievably cunning, selfish and suspicious person, who trusted nobody, so he would always carry a weapon, and under his clothes he wore – chain mail. He feared his parents, he hated his wife, he disrespected his blood-relatives. This fear had consumed him completely. This fear turned him into a hypocrite, a traitor and a murderer. Based on historical facts and accounts of the Duke of Burgundy, ironically nicknamed John the Fearless.
Anastasiya Baydachenko was born on Nov 25th 1981 in Kiev, Ukraine.
Middle Ages and literature become her passionate hobbies since early teens. Interested in history of Hundred Years` War and especially feud between the Houses of Orleans and of Burgundy.
Graduated from the oldest university in Western Europe Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in 2003. The same year won silver prize in All-Ukrainian young author competition with the novel "The day before ages" published in 2004.
