Transitioning to Superhero Cartoon

Fantasy harem monster girls adult situations

Spoilers

The book was well edited but had both continuity errors and an unbelievable back-to-back aerial acrobatics by the MC. For example, Ben orders the crew to drop anchor to slow their approach to shore. Then on the next page, he ordered them to do it again; this is a schooner, not a ship of the line, so having two anchors wouldn't excuse that. Worse, even if they had two anchors, wouldn't they release both at the same time? All their gear is soaked, but they don't bother to set it out to dry. The head into the jungle with no supplies or water, and no one takes a meal break until nightfall. That kind of activity eats calories. There's more.
I like the characters, but the MC gets stabbed twice in the leg (we aren't told if it's the same leg or not), and after the fight, ignores the wounds. Yet they were serious enough to partially cause blackouts. Only one of the butterfly girls are hurt, but apparently she heals by napping. Except on the next page she's alert and reporting to the newly awakened queen.
As I said, I like the characters, and I get he has to get us the readers to the McGuffin, I mean, the queen, but the devil's in the details. Definitely becoming a cartoon superhero show.
This has been an education. The very realistic beginning changed course to light novel, with a lot of inexplicable things going on. After I finally realized it was a light novel - don't expect it to make sense, you'll break your brain - now the travel all day without food and no one suffers. Except the Coonag women get overheated for a bit, till the water dragon mists them for a long time by pulling moisture out of the air and turning it into salt water before dousing the hot monster girls. Because a young water dragon can do this for a half hour with no effort. Again, it's illogical but fun so go with it. Ignore the man behind the curtains.
My main peev continues to be Ben himself. He's promised to breed all the adult women, but restricts himself to a handful that he keeps giving children to. This island only has sex members, so it's barely a hunting party. I notice, too, that each island's population is smaller than the previous island. This time, there are only six pixie girls. Ben should be able to get all six pregnant in short order, especially since this is their fertile time. But I bet he won't.
Over two hundred monster girls want babies because their men-folk have been killed; Ben continues to promise he will give ALL the women a child, but he continues to sleep with just a select few. It's great he wants a meaningful relationship with each of the monster girls that he's giving babies to, but since Jonas is apparently abstaining, Ben should be making inroads with making the next generation of dragon-kin, Niralope deer girls, Coonag raccoon girls, and now Cacoo pixie girls. But he's not. Expecting to have a meaningful relationship with every woman he has kids with means a lot of monster girls won't be having babies anytime soon. And all those hundreds of lonely, childless women aren't complaining one bit. Because, reasons.
A cautious 4.

It seems Draco Rex can't turn around without discovering a new species of monster women

Ben Whitfield finds himself transported to an island on another world, where he's thrown into a war with rampaging Orcs who are trying to kidnap the Dragon women for sex slaves. Transformed into Drago Rex, he sets about helping being back the Dragonkin race! Discovering more islands, each with a different race of embattled women he sets out to destroy the Orcs! Deer women, Racoon women ,and now Butterfly women . Given the ability to breed with all the races, Ben is in great demand for his martial prowess (among other things) he works toward building an army to defeat the thuggish Orcs. Come along for the ride!

A new addition for the Draco Rex

The cover gives it away. Yep a new addition for Ben the Draco Rex. Lots of adventure with a crew of well known friends as well as some new additions. Relationships build between Ben and a few of his crew on what was meant to be a simple mission. Nothing in the life of Draco Rex is every easy and this chapter in his story to free the islands of the Orcs is no different. Get on this series if you haven't already.

This might just be the best one yet.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. This time around, Ben and the girls get caught in a nasty storm while trying return to the island of the dragons. Blown off course, they find a new island and new allies. The story and characters were intriguing and engaging. I look forward to reading more about these characters and their further adventures. This book is definitely worth reading.

Hot, sexy butterfly women? What's not to love about meeting a tribe of these gorgeous women after being blown off course by a storm?!

Logan Jacobs had another exciting adventure in this novel with more allies to add to the fold. Really looking forward to the next!

Another great tale (or wings in this case)

A really good action series that I really enjoy reading and this is another really good book in this series. The MC lands on an island with butterfly monster girls and mainly battles monsters and Mother Nature in this book. Off to download book 8 now.

This is another series that has lost its appeal for me, and I struggled to finish it. This series started well with a little bit of twist to the monster girl genre. By the time this book came out, I was tired of the wash-rinse-repeat nature of the story. Hardly any movement in the book, except to find the next island with yet another different strain of monster girl. YMMV

This time it's butterfly women

Nice to see that there are other enemies besides the orcs. Also finally after five books after their introduction the deer woman finally get a name for their species

Fantastic plot twist that refreshes

The plot line of this series gets a nice jolt to move it forward, while keeping in spirit of the whole. The method to bring this about was natural and not forced, looping the strands together.

Brilliant again

Once again a cracking good yarn. Forget the pretentious clap trap of reviewers that try to big themselves up. Take this like the rest of the series, a well written action packed evolving series that is loads of fun

Becoming enjoyable again

The last few books were formulaic. With this one, it still follows that pattern but the story is different enough and varied from the last couple to be enjoyable again. I am looking forward to book 8.
