Third Wheel is the third book in Kat Green’s Haunts for Sale series, and it’s my favourite thus far. Although this one does have another haunted house, there is much more to this story. It’s a cursed object story, and I love such stories.
Although this one can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the prior books first. There are elements that will hit harder if you’ve watched things develop, but there is information to fill in the gaps. For those that have read the prior books, this one brings together plenty of elements and characters from the prior books in a story that packs plenty into the pages. It hooks throughout, ensuring you’re happy to devour the story in a single sitting.
If you’ve enjoyed the prior books in the series, this third book is well worth reading.
I was granted complimentary access to a review copy of Third Wheel by Kat Green through Lola’s Blog Tours. Thank you to all involved in affording me this opportunity! This has not swayed my opinion. My thoughts are my own and my review is honest.
Paranormal real estate specialist Sloane Osbourne is in danger of losing another lover, and she doesn't want to search haunted houses for sale for another lover's ghost, so she needs to solve this mystery before he dies. Can she do it?
First of all, I'd like to say that I absolutely love the cover for this one! This is definitely the best cover of the series so far and it's what made me look at the blog tour call which lead me to receive review copies of all three books. It had a pirate feel, though, which is a bit misleading. There are no pirates. Sorry pirate fans!
Last time I complained that while I was happy to see romance blossoming between Sloane and a living person, I didn't quite buy it. This time I buy it! Sloane is definitely in love with this man. What I don't buy is some of her decisions along the way as she searches for him. She goes to another state to find him when he goes missing, she finds him, he goes missing again, and she... leaves the state? Just goes home? That bit shattered my suspension of disbelief.
Overall this is another solid, fun, quick read that I would highly recommend to fans of paranormal fiction and ghost hunter type subgenres.
This was a blind date book from "Quirky blind date with a book". A new to me author and I was surprised she offered book 3 in a series. The story did stand alone but there was a lot of references to previous cases and men in her life. I just felt like I was missing something. Interesting storyline, a real estate agent that deals with ghosts. This one had her tangling with ghosts, a greedy real estate agent, FBI and bad guys. A lot going on that kept me glued to my kindle enjoying every moment.
This is the first book I've read in this series and while it could be read as a stand-alone, I felt a little left out when references to previous threads were mentioned. I would recommend that this series be read in order. I will be going back to read books 1 & 2 also.
I was intrigued from the very first page. This book has intrigue and humor and evoked some emotions that were surprising.
I enjoyed this story and will re-read after I read books 1 & 2.
Great read! Easy but intriguing. What was great is how even though it was the third in the series it was very easy to pick up and read and not feel lost!
