The ferryman of the dead is on the hunt for the cursed sorceress of Aeaea...but he's going to find a lot more than he bargained for.

CHARON is the sixth book in a new paranormal romance series, based in a dark, sexy city ruled by Hades and his court of gods and monsters.

Charon has been recruited by Thanatos in the search for Circe, Hecate's niece, and one of the most powerful sorceresses in history. Finding a cursed island that doesn't exist on any map is hard enough. He also has to convince Circe to trust him, and trusting strangers isn't something the sorceress is known for.

Circe has a reputation for turning unwanted visitors into pigs, but when a titan lands on Aeaea claiming to be there to rescue her, she's willing to hear him out. Circe will do anything to be rid of Zeus's curse keeping her bound to the island, and holds off letting her lioness eat the strange titan...for the time being anyway.

It's been a long time since Circe has been in the human world, and Charon wants to make sure she feels welcome, but he's going to discover that there's more about Circe that's bewitching than the magic she wields.

CHARON is a new story based on characters from Greek Myth. It contains adult content, including violence, swearing, and steamy sex scenes.

Okay, so while I enjoyed the heck out of Charon — who knew the ferryman of the underworld could be so sweet? — I'm still on the fence about Circe. I'm still waiting for the reason why she made Charon work so hard for everything. I get that she has a history of being betrayed and left broken hearted, but what did he do? Yeah, that's what I thought.

After being rescued from the island she was left cursed on by Zeus, Circe had a lot to adjust to. The world had changed and she had to figure out her place in it. There was also the problem of trying to end the remnants of Pithos, the infamous god hunters who were nothing but trouble. Oh, and the romance budding between Circe and Charon and the drama of everyone else.

Every time he thought they had seen the limit of the horror Pandora had created, they found another layer.

Yup, another entertaining read. There was magic and mayhem, death and devastation, and I'm excited to see how the author brings it all to an end. Will these characters that I've come to adore still be alive? Will Darius finally die already? And what about Ariadne? She's the only human of the bunch. Will she be gifted immortality somehow?

And anyone else annoyed that Hermes, a god, is being told by his lover that he cannot kill and he listens??? I hate this!

Erebus is next and you know I already have his book loaded up!

Erebus was the oldest of the titans, older than the world, and the land and creatures on it. He was the darkness, the nothingness, the eternity of night between the stars before they learned to shine. And he was angry.

I have a theory that seems to be off considering this was the last in the Underworld series... but, I can't be the only one who thinks this? (adding spoiler format just in case - though it's only a spoiler if you haven't read Hermes book yet).

I CAN'T SHAKE IT DOES ANYONE FEEL ME

Charon, you sweet, tattooed, cinnamon role. I'm not going to lie, I was waiting for the last two triplets stories because their banter throughout the series gave me life. And again I was not disappointed.

Also, being introduced to the sorceress was fantastic. The development of their relationship and healing both together and separately had me absolutely hooked.

My gods and goddesses, yes!!

So, yeah I binge-read this series.

As I said, it was very entertaining.

I will post this review on each of them because I don't care and I am not reviewing every single one of them.

However, this combination of dystopian elements with Modern Day Greece and Ancient Greek Gods reemerging, was chefs' kiss! I need to find this, but better than this.

Although I enjoyed it there are many issues with these books, so I am rating all of them 2 stars.

However, do not doubt that Alessa Thorn will be an author I will be adding to my list because whenever I need a fast read with smut, fantastical elements I'll be checking her out.

I originally gave this a 3 but meaning more of a 3.5-3.75 but the more I thought on it the more I felt like it deserved a 4.

There is something about Charon and Circe. She is definitely my favorite out of the three witches. Circe reminds me of a positive, sun witch. I picture her lying out in the sun while also practicing magic.

She is more fun and sweet which I think went perfectly with Charon. She is rescued by him off her lonely island and her first thing is to go out with the ladies and have a one night stand. Love that for her. She gives a more innocent feeling. She isn’t as aware of Charon’s feelings at first but hers develop pretty quick.

Charon is a gentleman. Up until now he has been a flirt. He is cool, calm, and collected. He is a mix between Thanatos and Erebus. He can be funny but he is also more reserved too. I don’t feel like we get much from him in the previous books. So at first, I wasn’t sure I cared about him. But once I started reading, I couldn’t stop.

It was very playful. Reminds me a little of Medusa and Asterion. I loved their heated car scene the most but I also love when Circe goes to spend time with Charon while he is working on cars.

I won’t lie, the story in this one is a little more forgettable. But it was more building up for the last one, Erebus, where all the action really is.

As always, I found this book to be a lot of fun.

Things are really heating up in the fight against Pithos as we uncover the horrors of the medical experimentation they have been conducting with Medea's unwilling help. So I am for sure looking forward to the final showdown.

The characters are fun, as always. I like the idea of Charon getting new tattoos or piercings every time his body stops feeling like his own, and I greatly appreciate that he is a book whore, like myself. Circe also is a pleasure, with her wide eyed enthusiasm for a world she could see but never experience.

Per usual, the book drives home that Zeus is the biggest bastard in the cosmos, and I am so glad he is dead. It's like he had nothing better to do than torture people! Seriously! Get a hobby that's not boning or causing pain.

Anyway, I love this series. I wish the books were all a little longer, so that we could delve into the characters and expand the plot more, but that's just me. I think just as they are they have exceeded every expectation I had and I am sad to be reaching the end.

Charon and Circe

Charon and Circe is an intense story but Charon's character has this easy going charm that makes things so enjoyable. I truly love his character between his fast cars, clothes, sexy tats and playful banter he will win any readers hearts. Circe is Hecate's niece, she has a pet lion named Nia and is finally free of Zeus's curse. This story is about healing, forgiveness, that people can change and love does exist even for the Ferryman and a Sorceress. Great addition to this series. I highly recommend reading this series in order because each book flows into the text. Thorn will give little details about the previous books, she gives some glimpses but it's a quick few words. To get the full storyline and characters background you need to start at the beginning with book on Asterion. It's worth it!! Happy Reading!

I have loved Charon from the beginning of series so happy to finally get to his book and more insight into him. I love him even more, his sexy, covered in tattoos and lover of books, his apartment filled with shelves upon shelves of books. Needing his story telling fix due to being the ferryman and missing the souls sharing their stories with him (loved that little touch of info).
I read another book Circe and I didn’t overly enjoy it so to have this version of Circe introduced into my memories was good. This circe is a powerful sorceress who does have some trust issues with men & love, however she overcomes it easily with Charon. This series the stories are short & fast paced so Insta love is the focal point.

Cannot wait for Erebus & Medea!!!

Greek mythology romance at it's best

4½ stars. I thought the last one was a little off, so I was very pleased with this book. Circe was a great heroine, in turns strong & vulnerable, & Charon was a totally drool-worthy hero. I have been waiting for his story since the beginning of this series. Also, the action with the overarching storyline about Pithos is really coming to a head! Once again, my only complaint is that as this series goes on, I have been finding more & more small errors, such as inappropriate punctuation, incorrect verb tense, & words out of order or repeated twice. This grates on my nerves as I'm kind of a grammar nerd, but overall it doesn't really detract from the story.

I really enjoyed this book, it fit well within the series, the characters and romance felt natural. My biggest complaint, though was . It was a small thing, but it rubbed me the wrong way.

Charon and Circe! This was more sweet then hot, but still had hot moments. Ironically or maybe not so much this series deals with a lot of heartbreak, past traumas, abuse, torture and betrayal. Theses titans and gods have been through it...and through lore and myth many have been demonized. Because in stories if there is a hero there must be a villain right? But we rarely get the the back story of the villain to understand the motivation. These stories have given a different perspective of those we have abandoned to the "evil" side. These stories have made me smile since I started reading them!

Still Liking the Series

Another good tale with an MFC and a MMC who fit each other well. Love the lack of real ego on the MMC. He is strong but not overbearing and he is good with the greater power that the MFC wields without getting bent out of shape about needing to be the “strong one”. The interactions between the MFC and Hermes are believable when you take into account what Hermes did in the past, right up until the last few words about the subject. There should have been more done by Hermes to make restitution for his actions. Also there were still to many missing/wrong word issues. Better than in the “Hermes” novel, but still distracting.

I devoured it like the others in the series

This is an awesome series you must read it. Download it quickly from Amazon or go to the store and buy it. The series is a must read for all paranormal romance fans out there.

The stories are connected by the continuing fight with Pithos, an organization out to eradicate the monsters of old. Characters come along for the ride in all the books but each individual book focuses of one love story. The other characters may be along for the fight, but appearances feel more cameo ish. Though no less enjoyable.

The things Darius and the Doctor have done are so grossly heinous and awful. I can’t wait to see the end of it all for them.
Erebus is so powerful I don’t understand why he hasn’t been the one going in to save people earlier. It seems he can’t be killed and has so much power to destroy. I suppose the argument is he can’t control it well (until now I suppose with Medea as motivation).

I liked Circe and Charon. Their relationship development was a bit meh, but I like them together. So now for Erebus to get his.

In this paranormal romance, we follow Charon as he goes on a rescue mission to Circe´s island. Circe was a cool character and I liked how the author depicted her. However, this book is also pretty forgettable....all of the books in this series just blend together in their mediocrity and just disappear right from your head.

Overall, it was no better than the last but no worst than the first.

A new fan!

From Asterion to Charon, these books had everything that I love...the action, the sexy strong Greeks, and their equally sexy, strong partners, the camaraderie and best of all, the humor! I literally reached for the next story as soon as I finished a book. Eagerly, impatiently, waiting for Erebus and Medea's story.

Charon

So, here’s the Ferryman’s story. Well, his and Circe’s. This is a good series, all the Court are likable and capable. The women are all pretty badass which is a delicious change of pace . Definitely this Circe was soooo much more awesome than the book Circe I read earlier. This was the powerful sorceress I wanted the other to be. Can’t wait for Erberus’ and Medea’s story.

DNFd after 4 chapters.

The writing style was fanfictionish: not smooth but a bit choppy. The characters being so impressed by each other / in aw of the other / finding everything cute the other one does after having spend two hours with each other. Circe being oh so cool about having Charon there.

Yeah, it just wasn't for me.
I might give it another try in the future.

I have always been in love with Hades, but through all the books Erebus stole my heart! After reading this, Charon now has half ownership of it only because I haven't read Erebus' story yet! This book was constant action with the love and smut mixed in so perfectly! I already know this series will become one I return to!

The development of this series has been just gold. I have loved that background conflict that has been growing that they are all working toward resolving together. Charon and Circe were a great match from the beginning and I loved their immediate gravitational pull to each other. I am very excited for the final book of this series to see how it all comes together!

Not a great installment in the series - which is a shame because I feel that it could have had so much potential. Circe's character is under-developed and Charon seemed... weak.
The weighting of plot was all over the place. Unimportant moments were dragged out and the action was over in a few pages. Let's hope the final book - Erebus - doesn't disappoint.

This was one of my favorites in the Court of the Underworld series, Charon is so sweet and loveable that you only want the best for him and he finds an amazing partner with Circe. Everything from their dangerous meet-cute to deadly interrogations to storming a secret lab showcase their incredible, supportive, and steamy relationship.
