I don't know

The book is getting SUPER political...when I read paranormal romance its because I want ti he part of another world. Bringing the racist element and covid into the book doesn't make it feel more revelant to me. It took away some of the glamor and just reminded me I'm stuck in my house with 4 kids. Also, why all the talking?. I mean talking is great, but does every conversation have to be some heart felt earth shattering revelation kind of conversation? I felt myself starting to skim the book after serious conversation #3 in 10 minutes of reading... I get we need to talk but it was too much. Now it doesn't feel like an epic battle and love story, it feels more like a political statement meshed with a Shakespeare level overtaking theater production...not really sure I wanna continue the series. It kind of ruined my Saturday night. I hated being mad at books and I got mad at this one, so be prepared.

So – a 5 Star rating for a great book. Now how about we try something different and I give you 5 Reasons for the 5 Star rating?

1. Kira is an incredibly independent, bad ass FMC. She has had the most amazing character development I have read in a really long time. But Sam Hall has still managed to make it believable (as much as a PNR can be) and relatable. Kira has gone from the milk sop (lets face it) to this kick ass woman (goddess in the making) who has her own amazing powers and doesn’t just let the men in her life walk over her. And even though she has made such a drastic transformation it doesn’t feel like it was too much.
2. Sam Hall has given us some really amazing relationships to dig into. From the word go Kira has had some crazy ups and downs with her boys (because the Changelings in my mind weren’t really men yet) and in this – the fourth instalment – these boys start growing into their potential as well. She starts forming a real bond with them instead of just having the insta-lust from the first 3 books. Finally, to me, I can start seeing the appeal in them.
3. Aen and Marlow. I don’t think I need to say any more for those who have been following the series. For those of you that haven’t – what the heck have you been doing. Go back. Start in the beginning. You will not be doing it justice if you start now.
4. This book touches on some really touchy subjects. Some really political ones. Sam highlights on the BLM without making it feel forced or just like a gimmick. She also opens up a bit on abuse and some other sensitive subjects but still manages to write the story in such a way that it doesn’t come across as too dark to read.
5. The story is not finished yet – by far. Sam rounds of this book quite nicely but leaves enough open treads to keep you guessing, begging, pleading and crying for more.

Now we are getting somewhere!
.
Damn this was a ride. Some definite struggles and learning curves as well as some much needed calm between Kira and the guys. I’m really loving watching her grow. It’s hard to believe it’s the same character from book 1 but I’m loving it. She’s definitely coming into her own now as things are picking up. Some revelations that I’m here for and the overall sense that things are settling into place even with more still to come.
.
I enjoyed watching as Kira worked through most issues and hurdles with the guys in this book. They really had to adapt, conform and even work together as a unit as well as learn to be able to hold their own in their group. They each fulfill some part of their harem so it was great to see them settle into their places finally. I couldn’t have possibly predicted the story going to where it did but I love it either way. There’s always something new and unexpected developing throughout the story which keeps it interesting and invested in, not only the characters but the story as a whole also.
.
The world build is so complex with this book I almost need a glossary of all the places that we have either visited or has been mentioned just to keep everything straight. Again, I love the originality and how Sam just seems to be able to weave you through seamlessly as she tells the story. It’s quiet amazing to read.
.
This page turner will have you on the edge of your seat for sure. There’s action, magic, new and exciting worlds, amazing captivating characters, adventure, drama and steam, lots and lots of steam. I feel like I need to bathe in holy water! Awesome job Sam! Can’t wait to see what you have in store next.

Kira’s development as a character just seems incredibly slow. It might be because it has been a little while since I read the other books, but without Lilith I’m not sure I’d like Kira at all. And the plot seems to be moving a bit more slowly than necessary. I’m also not a fan of taking serious, horrible current events and twisting them to fit into a fantasy story, thereby minimising the culpability of real people. Overall, it was ok, but really I only kept reading because I’d already invested in the first three books.

Let me start by saying this book was intense and takes you on an emotional journey. Sam Hall warns you in the beginning of the book in a section titled Trigger Warning ⚠️. Read it before you start. It helps you brace for it. I thought I was. Holy guacamole I did not fully fasten my seat belt before starting the ride. I will take ownership for that mistake. For me, the BLM movement is still a large gaping wound on my heart that colored my ability to simply enjoy the book. I will own that. Otherwise, as always, Sam delivers! Kira's still seems to be processing her feelings about the guys and about her powers. There was so much packed into this book. You will have 'aha' moments and 'oh hell no' moments. This one was a bumpy ride for me but I have zero regrets. There is so much that happens in this book that you simply cannot miss it! Continue Kira's adventure with us.

*Side note: I love Aen. They are so well written and strong but vulnerable at the same time. I think we all need someone like them in our life. Marlow is on my favorite list too. The rest of her harem... I don't know. They need to continue to grow but I think I love their complexity the most. No one dimensional characters in this harem. I do think Kira needs to move past her hurt. At this point some of it seems to be from a prideful place verses true pain. She wasn't with the guys for long before she left them. They followed. They explained. They get to have their scars that color how they treat people. She was sheltered and in the dark. They were mistreated and manipulated their whole lives. She needs to move on from it at this point and stop running from her own heart. I don't think she will get much choice given how the book ended.

For me, this series is hitting a stride. I think the first three books were steady, giving me some character development, (loads of) drama, some sexy time, and an increasing amount of girl power, which I am totally here for.

I am definitely appreciating Kira at this point, and I think Hall's very proficiently giving us a journey. If you're looking for a story that has character development, then this series is one to pull you in. Sometimes it's almost jarring when a character becomes a different person than they are in book one, but Hall is giving us this gradual shift because Kira's strength and awareness grows, and that bleeds into how confident she is.

As far as the harem goes, I still love my original favorites- Aen & Marlow- but I'm coming around to the Changelings more than I was in previous books. Except Jake, who I've always had a soft spot for. Another thing that stands out to me is Aen being able to change his gender- I like that this is something with a ripple effect. When Aen is in female form, both she and Kira act differently, their dynamic shifting to go along with the change, and I love that the two relationships have their own mood and power balance.

Overall, this series is pretty complicated, and one of the things that initially made me wary was that sometimes I felt like the information was smoothly blended into the plot and other times it was a little lacking, but I think that Hall's layering of the world has grown smoother and more sophisticated as the series has continued, and I definitely think it's worth the reader investment.

A lot happening

I found my self re-reading parts because I was a bit confused. I feel this was intended because Kira is confused and bumbling through figuring out who she is, what she is expected to do and how to deal with all the consorts. People are suffering under the Ruthelgen because of Kira and her action so she needs to find a way to stop him. A lot of hot scenes and story and character development. Not my favorite in the series but it felt transitional in order for the story to progress. Look forward to the next book.

Of Goddesses & Monsters - Exceptional!!!

Okay. To say that I loved this book would be an understatement. Let’s get the formalities out of the way, shall we. I’ve given this book 5 stars, only because that’s the top of the rating scale. Sam Hall is absolutely amazing!!!

If you’re still with me, get ready. This may take a little while. Goddess’s Gift was magnificent. I mean, it was a work of art. It is the best of the series yet, and that’s saying a lot because the other books have been incredible. In a style I’m quickly becoming accustomed to, Sam Hall’s writing is both hypnotic and poetic. Her words really do cast a spell over you.

This book ushers Kira and her consorts into Aragide. They are in training for the trials and still fighting the Rutherglen. Everything that’s going on in the world served as inspiration, as what’s going on in the world is reflected in Goddess’s Gift. Be prepared, as this is not going to be a light-hearted fairy tale. And yet, overall, for me, Goddess’s Gift is a book about power, connectedness, and relationships - romantic relationships, friendships, even the relationship with yourself. And it’s about love.

So far, Kira has been developing relationships with her harem. With Aen and Marlow, you can just feel the love radiating off of the pages. Their scenes are so heartfelt, even when Aen gets a little bossy (which is incredibly hot). Their relationships just keep getting stronger and stronger. Her relationships with the Changelings are a little more tenuous.

I mean, the guys are hot, but they can also be cruel and maybe a little bit shady. Kira’s relationship with Billy is all darkness and vengeance. With Jake, while there are elements of dominance and submissiveness, it really is about pain and healing. With Lucas, it is about hesitance and regret. Kira’s relationship with Johnno is yearning and tenderness. And then there’s Liam. With him, it’s all pleasure and pain.

And then, of course there is the relationship Kira has with Lilith. I have to say, I really love this bond they have. Lilith is fierce, funny, self-assured, and sometimes a bit scary. But she’s loyal to Kira. The banter between the two of them made me smile.

This book is everything you could want and so much more. This is a full-on, down the rabbit hole, dark and twisted Alice in Wonderland. It is an action-packed, emotional, and sometimes scary journey. There is sexual tension from page one. And the steam level is off the charts! Pure, raw emotion emanates from every page. This book is an adventure of the heart, mind, and soul!

And just as a tease, here are just a few of my favorite quotes:

“I thought you weren’t falling into bed with any of them? Lilith asked. He’s not a consort, not someone I have to be with. I get to choose him, and right now, I choose to get naked and do whatever is going on in that freaky little mind of his. She laughed at that, low and dark. I have been where you’re going. It’s an amusing place.”

“Lilith chuckled inside my head. Love is the knife we plunge willingly into our hearts, and you’ve shoved it deep. He is truly your consort now.”

“Like this. Lilith’s voice was a whisper on the wind, rattling through dark forests, skirling through trees.”

“I don’t know how to love someone and keep them happy. Like Vervain and Jen… She has a wish list of shit to try with Jen, to please her. I…I’m this rampaging bitch, and I have an entourage of dickheads trying to get into my pants.”

“‘What do you ache for, Johnno?’ My words were sharp, abrupt, but the question was out before I even thought about asking it. He smiled, but it was an ugly, pained thing. ‘You never asked me that. Everyone else but me.’ His hands rubbed together when he pulled them away from me. ‘The thing I ache for, Kira…’ He stared down the hallway for a moment, then back at me. ‘It’s the missed opportunity—of being the man you needed, of being the preceptor I should’ve, but even when I fucked that up, a chance came, here. But it’s all games and power plays, all over again.’ He shook his head. ‘I might not have been a good man, but I want to be. That’s what I ache for, the chance of that for you.’”

“He was like fire, burning my defences down, and my body stung like from the lick of flames as he made his way inside.” (talking about Aen)

Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

There are no words for how good the Goddess's Gift is. This is the fourth book in the Get Your Rocks Off series and I absolutely loved it, the series just keeps getting better and better.

Kira has gone from human loner, to a powerful fae, to well on her way to becoming a goddess. She has been through so much, so much pain, heartache, loneliness, and all of it while trying to figure out who she can trust and coming into her new power. In this book Kira, badass as she may be, is learning her limitations, realizing that she has to think critically and not go off half-cocked, and is starting to listen to others. Trusting is hard for Kira, it's all about how she's been treated growing up, so she is afraid of emotion, girl is a runner, but she is growing, becoming more secure in those around her and herself which is great.

Her bond with Jen isn't a prevalent as it would have been because the focus is on the guys, her consorts. They have hurt Kira in the past and from a person who doesn't trust rebuilding that relationship is gonna be hard. However, Sam did an excellent job of this, there wasn't a short moment apart then forgiven, no the Changelings had to work at their redemption. They all had deep pivotal moments with Kira, it wasn't quick and Kira still didn't fully trust them but they were getting there, I like seeing their relationship grow to a different level. While the Changelings had messed everything up, Aen and Marlow were all in, I love seeing them support Kira, seeing her let them into her heart.

The story is dark, complex, and has a few triggers. Sam has managed to work into her story issues that are important and current. Issues like the Black Lives Matter movement, the injustice and abuse of women and children and so many more dark topics. She puts a spotlight on these topics, she doesn't shy away from them but make them a topic of discussion all the while weaving them into a fantastical storyline.

There is of course, the fantastical part of the storyline, I loved learning more about the fae, seeing more magic, figuring out the dynamics of their world, and getting a better look at the politics and social structure. There is also the rockstar part of the story, I have never been drawn to the rockstar romance books, don't know why but I'm not interested. While this is a fae book it also had the rockstar elements, the previous books had a few moments but I really felt them in this book and I am surprised to find that I enjoyed it.

The only thing bad I can say about Goddess's Gift is that it's giving me a feeling that something bad is gonna happen to a character that I like and I wanna scream at Sam not to break my heart. Goddess's Gift was a really great story, filled with growth, emotion, so much steam, a little romance, politics, darkness, violence, and love. This book sucked me in and did not let go until it was over. I am dying for the next book, to see what trials and tribulations Kira and her consorts have to face next, I just hope my heart doesn't break in the process.

Another amazing addition to this series!! I've been loving the character development of Kira and her guys as this series has progressed. Kira has gone from a meek, shy girl to a powerful and more confident one who in this book has learned to accept her decisions and their consequences instead of simply running away. Running away is always the easier option, but seeing her step up in this way just shows how much her character has matured since the first book. The men too have shown some drastic changes, a couple of them at least. Billy and Jake really stepped up and opened up to Kira, showing vulnerability and how well they fit with her, why they were her consorts. Lovable Aen even put Kira in her place instead of just letting her do whatever she wanted. It was refreshing to see and we even got moments of Kira admitting the depth of her feelings for both of Aen's forms. As for the other guys, they still have a ways to go, but I see them coming around real soon as things quickly start to heat up and it becomes so much more important that they all work together well and can depend on each other. Being on the same page and using those connections that they need to have is what is going to make a difference. The storyline of this series just keeps getting better after each new book. The twists and surprises have been amazing to see as they play out, keeping us on our toes and trying to figure out what will happen next. Can't wait to see what is in store in the next book!

Keep in mind that there are some triggering situations in this book as well as some issues dealing with the more current political, racial, and  global problems that some people might not want to read about. However, Sam always lays any triggers out, full disclosure. As for the other controversial issues, keep in mind that the fae in this world heavily influence the humans and in their own way have some sort of control over them. I didn't mind reading about these situations as they interested me, especially with the twists that Sam put on them. Take a chance and see how you feel as you read.

I finished part 4 and really needed a few days just to let it all sink in. At the end of part 3 I felt really torn because not all of the guys seemed to be on board with Kira. Book 4 definitely solved the problem. Finally the guys all get their place to come forward with their motives and feelings. There are explanations and things become clearer. I'm not saying it's all forgiven but overall I got the feeling that there seems to be a solid basis to build their relationships. And boy - that really soothed me :) Another thing is Kira's character development. I had to think back to book one and compare Kira's demeanor then and now. She really steps up, owns up to her mistakes and overall just tries her hardest to be a good leader of some kind. That includes forgiving and placing trust in her guys, a task Kira really struggles with. The whole series has a heavy hearted vibe, there are so many traumas, predators, betrayals and hurt feelings - but for me that makes the characters so accessible. Your heart just connects to all of them and you root for them. I loved part 4, especially since they all become a unit. They solve problems - together. At the end of the day it would not be a good Sam Hall book if there wasn't new BIG drama in the end of the book. And wow: that broke my heart again. I'm so looing forward to the next book. I love all of Sam's books but the GYRO series holds a special place in my heart.

This one blew me away even as things start off in a bit of a mess. Kira has leveled up and opened Aragide, but it’s clear that to really harness her powers she’s going to have to learn how to work as a team with each of her consorts. That’s going to take a certain amount of trust that just isn’t there. Now is when the real work begins. She could have done a lot of things with the Changelings, but this shows a careful consideration and examination of her relationships and the dynamics she has with her consorts and the larger group. There is training to be done and hot times to be had... Oh those hot times. Kira now has her share of consorts and bonded. She also has a former Sentinel that *should* be a thrall. Don’t think we forgot about you, big guy! It was SO satisfying to see some loose ends tied up before the bigger battles come to pass. Some may come for the sexy times, some will come for the power games because there are plenty of those too. There are some deeply moving social moments and examinations of society and humanity here. There are also some huge surprises and big moments coming. At the end of the day, there is a war to be fought, and if this group isn’t prepared, all will be lost. Sam still has one or two delightful tricks up her sleeve as always and when they’re revealed, your jaw just might hit the floor... I know mine did! I’ve wanted more from this group from the first word and that hasn’t changed yet. Sam has me hooked on faeries!

This next installment has a lot going on and I couldn't read fast enough to find out what happens!
There is a trigger warning in the beginning of the book.  PLEASE, PLEASE...Be sure to read it or ask others who have because it is not fair to you or the author who has put so much time, effort into this work to have it dragged down by a reviewer who didn't read the warnings. Sorry, off my soapbox now.
The pain that Kira and the Changelings go through is heartbreaking. Kira is afraid to let the guys in as they had hurt her so badly before. When Jake says "Just stop thinking and feel" You can understand where he is coming from. But because Kira has been burnt when things went sideways as the reader you can understand why she might not want to feel and just wants to protect herself. Not that most people have ever dealt with the Fae or crazy Gods but you or someone you know has gone through difficult times and learning how to heal is hard and everyone does it differently. She is able to become closer to Aen and reconnects with Marlow for some very steamy scenes!! Kira is trying to learn more about her avatar "powers" but it is slow going because the world is having some major issues due to the evil Rutherglen. But it is not all challenges, the steam level is high and I can't wait to read more. Last but not least Mark is back!!!!!!!

OMG! I love this series.

I'm not sure where to begin...this book finally opens up Kira to her feelings. It's time to face the music, be honest with herself and stop running. As such she finally accepts all of her consorts plus some extras of her choosing. Do the Changelings deserve her? Not really. Two redeem themselves in my opinion (Jake and Billy) and I believe the others will as well. In the end these are broken individuals looking for love and acceptance but they don't have the foggiest clue how to achieve that. What Kira feels for them is real but like real love it's messy and hurtful.

For the story arc of Sky Daddy, well it's moving along. Let's be real - poor Kira was never going to get rainbows and butterflies but dang! That reveal at the end, the speech by the heir, yeah it broke my heart. The trials have begun and I think we'll get to see more transformations along the way.

Overall I'm enjoying the series but my favorite thing is the character development. The difference from the Kira of book 1 to now has shown real growth. Even the guys that you may love to hate have developed well. The relationship between all of them has also steadily changed and I can see the differences over the series. If you haven't started it I hope you will because it's a great read with wonderful characters that you develop strong opinions over, which to me is a sign of excellent writing.

We get lots of twists and revelations about the different characters in the book, and some heartbreaking assault, but overall, I think there was a little too much talking and discussing the same things over and over again - whether it be Kira's next steps, what Ashanti's organization should focus on, how to train Kira for her trials, etc. Additionally, I really didn't get why Kira didn't just

Although we were warned in the author's foreword, I wasn't the biggest fan of having to read about current events unexpectedly in a paranormal romance, since I've been reading fantasy explicitly to try and escape into a fictional world without our current issues. Minimizing it as a consequence of their divine battle wasn't a good way of integrating it either.

The romance overall wasn't that strong in this book -- it was just a lot of Kira forgiving the men and deciding to take them back in her bed. I hope the action picks up again in the next one.

Sam keeps everyone on their toes wondering in which direction the storyline will go, per her norm. This series has definitely had some big twists and turns, and this book is no different.

Kira and her guys have experienced so many changes within their group structure since they first met. Their ups and downs and internal drama has been hard to watch, or even understand at times. That being said, I could see the whys once each obstacle was overcome (or at least worked on), and it made the story even more powerful.

There is nothing easy for Kira on this journey. She has experienced so much hurt and there is no shortage of drama. Trust is just not easy for her, and who can blame her. Her pain is easy to understand, but it does hold her back at times as she grows. The thing to remember is that Kira is a believer in growth and therefore works hard for it.

I also LOVE Aen and Marlow and hope that Sam realizes how special she has created them to be.

So jump aboard and enjoy another exceptional book by the incredible Sam Hall.

Must read!!!!

This book was a fantastic read. The author did a great job combining the Kira and the fae world that we loved but infusing some of the issues currently going on. I know some may say that they want to read a fantasy book to get away from that but Sam does a seamless job infusing it into the story. The topics of domestic violence, covid, and race issues is added to the story and only makes the storyline that much better in my opinion. For that I say congrats because it takes a talented author to do that.

As for the story Kira, her consorts and the people she love are training to get ready for the goddess trials. Everyone is all hands on deck and having to roll with the punches and hurtles that are thrown at them. Kira is growing closer to the changelings even though it terrifies her. I love the relationship between her, Marlow and Aen it is beautiful to see as there is just so much love there.

Great job Sam! This was a great fourth book to an already good series....keep them coming

WOW!
Each book within this series just gets better and better. I know I keep repeating myself but the story worlds that Sam Hall builds are truly works of great talent. I know that I get truly submersed within the story line so I couldn’t even begin to imagine how she is able to come back into the real world. This 4th book in the series takes a turn into more serious, slightly darker areas but it in no way deterred me from my inability to put the book down until I had no more left. For anyone that has not had the pleasure of reading any of Sam Hall’s books, I recommend you do so immediately. For her established fan base, you have got to read this book as it amazing and VERY WORTH THE READ! She can give the best of both worlds since she does have a seriousness with this series. It will have you in your emotions but her steamy scenes give you the balance needed to level the emotions. Can’t wait for the next book!!!

Just keeps getting better

This series is amazing and I love Sam hall's writing so much. Her imagination I wild and her stories are such a crazy Rollercoaster ride. I know some might have issues with Aen but they are totally my fav character. Super loyal, sweet, patient (to a fault), helpful, strong in both forms and my favorite part is how Sam writes them as the same person but how the same experiences feel different to each one. The same events don't land the same the words don't feel the same. It really makes you think about the differences between men and women, perception is weird. Also always love me some good strong bad ass women, and any kind of love for or with them.

I love how each book takes on a section of the journey and each time we find little bits of the puzzle as we go. Can't wait till we get to see how it all shakes out.

Wow. Emerging from this book is a bit like walking out of a natural disaster (speaking from personal experience) you feel it, the emotions, the trauma and the pain but what emerges makes you whole, makes you more who you are meant to be. This is what happens to Kira and her guys. I trust Sam Hall, I feel like Kira will get the ending she deserves, the angst, the pain she has to endure to get there though, it hurts so bad! As a reader and a fan of this series, I think this is my favourite. So glad to see Mark back, no spoilers from me, but I can't wait to see more of him. The world building is still ongoing in this book and I just love where its going. Rock star Fae are definitely my jam (I think I love alphaholes)

This story had so many emotional moments. There were times when it was honestly hard for me to continue because of how emotional it got at times. I needed to take a few breaks when reading this book because of that but it was very good. I don’t want to say too much about it for fear of giving anything away but just know your heart will be a mess. The story just keeps getting better with the plot and keeps surprising me which I love. This series just keeps ramping things up and I keep thinking it can’t get more intense or anything else and yet somehow it does. I love the characters even if there are some I want to strangle or smack. The ending was rough and I need the next book to get over it.

SOO GOOD

No spoiler alerts here. The book is so well written u can't put it down. You easily find yourself invested in the heroine and her mates. It invokes feelings that are deep and powerful. There is detailed abuse in this series but it also shows survivors and the power and strength of the survivors. Truly masterfully written.

This is the 2nd series from Dam Hall I have read and both were true page turners. I have literally been reading 1 complete book a day for the last 9 days. They are THAT good. The only bad thing I can say is that I started reading this series before it was completed. I'm gonna have to wait for book 5 and possibly 6...but it could be a lot wotse.

Goddess's Gift seriously blew me away! There is so much emotion in this book between the developing relationships of her consorts, Kira finding and learning about herself, trusts developing and being tested and the heat factor is off the charts. There is some real world problems addressed and touched on in a beautiful way that left me in tears. Sam Hall did her research and handled BLM with grace and reverence. The speech by character Quinn was gutting and real. All of the characters in this book are perfectly imperfect in a beautiful way and I love them all. Well done Sam Hall and I can't wait for the next book in this series!!

We continue Kira's journey in this book. So she is still testing the waters with some of the guys. Not sure whether she will take them as a consort. There are times that I had a hard time following due to the duel personalities of some of the characters. So we know that there is going to be a war that will take place and finding out who is on whose side. Will the guys finally realize that they need Kira or what will they choose. With all the trouble going on outside of their realm, will they be able to defeat that. There are intense moments and clarity, and lets not forget the intense smexy moments.

Intense 🥺😓

Goddess’s Gift is the fourth book in this series, it’s the book where there is a bit more light shed on the backstories of the characters, I really get the impression that this book is a building block for a massive fight.

Our leading lady has her own difficulties opening up and being vulnerable, unfortunately she can’t hide any more, there are massive ramifications if she continues to do so, so i can’t wait to see where to from here.

Also major triggers compared to other books, so please read the warning beforehand, just in case. It’s pretty intense.

FYI, a bit of cliffhanger!

This book kicks right off into it, the avatar Kira is finding out/learning a lot and mostly from trial and error. She is dealing with connections with her consorts, the trials, training, and learning more about Aragide.
Living in a magical palace that gives you what you need - very cool.
Loving Aen’s domineering bedroom antics, not to take away from all the very detailed hot AF sex scenes.
Kira finds our that her family’s history plays a in all this and then theirs the war with Rutherglen.
This book is action packed and moves very fast, it’s well written with lots of suspenseful twists along the way. Cliff hanger ending - can’t wait for the next book.

This forth book was just wow! Kira really takes ownership of herself in this book in my opinion. We get to see how strong she's become and how independent she really is. It's a huge contrast to how she was when her story began. And the changelings... Some of them have some work to do with Kira. But I get the feeling we'll see more of that in future books. Sam Hall has a way with words and scenes where there are lots of intricate details thrown in to create something phenomenal. The emotions that this book will stay with you long after you finish this latest installment. Another amazing book that I didn't want to end!

A Really Good Addition To This Continuing Series

Had this book not incorporated all of the drama that this County has been dealing with, I would have given this book a 5 star rating. To me, reading is my escape from all of the ugliness and evils that I deal with, day-to-day. Reading this book really didn't provide the escape and "mental vacation" that I look for when reading.

That being said, this book was excellent at continuing the story. It is dramatic and engaging. I didn't want to put this book down, once I began reading it. When I came to the end, I was disappointed that there were no more pages to read.

Wow, is the word that came to mind when I finished reading Goddess’s Gift. Sam Hall is very good at writing twisty, complex storylines and it shows in this book. The characters have continually evolved as the series goes. You find out more about The Changelings’ backstories and it helped me like them a little more, although they still haven’t redeemed themselves completely. The trigger warning is very important to read and some parts were definitely disturbing, but allowed room for the story to continue in a much bigger arc. Enjoyed this part of Kira’s journey and am looking forward to the next in the series.

An all-round great continuation of the ‘Get Your Rocks Off’ series. We watch Kira make huge strides in her character development and also in her relationships. I loved how some of the plot lines were wrapped up, so that the underlying plot of the big-bad Sky Daddy is the main focus of the next book. There is a major trigger warning for this book which is addressed at the beginning by the author, Sam has wonderfully warned us of this so please remember to read this before proceeding. This book contains so many twists and turns, and turns slightly politically, but is all round a great book with an amazing plotline.
