Funny, Sexy, and Wilde!
What can go wrong when a hot dive instructor with a perky ass gets locked in a closet on a multi-million dollar yacht?
Not as much as you'd think.
Cal and Worth are utterly adorable together. Worth is older and serious; he's a successful business man and a caring brother to his younger twin siblings, but he's tired of being used for his money, as per his last bratty boyfriend.
Cal is young and free spirited. He misses his grandfathers (Doc and Grandpa) but doesn't want to return home until he has a plan (and enough money) to buy the sailing camp owned by his one-time mentor Annie.
When Cal and Worth meet, it's lust at first sight. Worth wants Cal to trap Worth's brother's useless fiance into revealing his cheating ways. That doesn't go quite as planned, but the manipulative bastard gets his comeuppance anyway (I actually didn't like how this side plot ended; Lucas, Worth's brother, didn't come out of it smelling rosy, and I was scratching my head over his new love match).
The epilogue is perfectly happy and cute, and this is just a feel good story all around with basically no angst.
The secondary characters seemed a little cookie-cutter, and I wish Cal and Worth had spent longer than a few days together prior to making grand proclamations of love, but I'll take it.
NautiCal can be read as a standalone, but I really enjoyed the entire Forever Wilde series.

💛Lucy Lennox is one of the first couple of MM authors that made me fall in love with the genre, so she'll aways hold a spot in my heart. 💛
Definitely recommend for those looking for a feel-good, low-angst, fun read. I had a smile on my face from beginning to end. 🙌🏽🥰

Dang! I loved ❤️❤️ the first part of this fake-boyfriends story. It goes something like this:

4.5 Stars!
This was probably my favorite of the series. Just really connected with and loved both Cal and Worth.
I was glad things didn't go in the direction that was originally planned with Prescott.
I really enjoyed all of the characters and the banter amongst everyone. It was just a fun read.
After really enjoying some of LLs stand-alone works I went back to this series. I got burned out on the Made Marion series so was hesitant. I think if you treat these as standalones and read them every once in awhile vs. back-to-back they are more enjoyable. I read several back to back and so got a little burned out I think.
Overall, definitely recommend this one!

This series has been pretty hit or miss, but thankfully it ended on a high note! (well, I'm pretending its ending on this high note, I have no plans to read a triple crossover extended epilogue novella) Loved the yacht setting of this and the forced proximity/only one bed that goes along with that. The end could have a been a bit longer, so much about Preston and then nothing. Other than that, I really enjoyed this!

Really enjoyed this! Again it wasn't particularly a romance, more an adventure, but Cal is tied with King for my favourite Wilde brother (not that there's much competition for me 😂)
My only real issue with this book (and King Me before it) is that the relationship doesn't get established until the dying chapters so you don't get to see them as an actual couple except for the epilogue.
I wanted Worth's reactions to realising everything Cal said about his family was true! I feel kind of cheated. I also wanted to see Pres get his comeuppance considering so much of the story revolved around this.
I'm actually kind of sad to have finished the series, Wilde Love was a real turning point for me and I'm genuinely sad to say goodbye to both the Wilde and Marian families - I'm going to reread Forever Wilde in Aster Valley because I read that ages ago with the Aster Valley series, and now it will all make much more sense 😂

Sad to leave the Wildes but a fabulous romance to go out on
I love the Forever Wilde series from Lucy and while Doc and Grandpa's story will always be my favourite this one comes a close runner-up.
It's such a joyous experience with so little angst or overwhelming drama, just humour and two people falling in love in the most unlikely situation.
I loved Cal's irrepressible youth, and his drive to do something for others using his love of sailing. I loved that Worth was willing to unbend when he realised happiness could be staring him in the face.
I absolutely adored the rest of Worth's family and his yacht crew and I could almost believe I was out in the British Virgin Islands with how descriptive the setting was.
This was such a lovely way to round off the stories about this wonderful Texas family.

I’m not sure if I should taste it with 4 or 5 stars - while one of the characters was absolutely adorable and lovable, I wanted to shake some sense into the other one more than once.
The adorable one is Cal, the youngest of the Wilde brothers, who seems to be shying away from settling down, living on an island in the Caribbean, working as a dive instructor and helping out on boats to gain experience- which he needs because his dream is to take over a sailing academy in Hobie. He’s so cheerful, so positive and funny and sassy, it’s impossible to NOT fall in love with him.
His sometimes annoying counterpart is Worth (short for Jon Worthington), the mega rich owner of a boat Cal gets stuck upon, locked in naked in a closet. Don’t ask 🤣
Worth is jaded when it comes to people in general, but especially when it comes to relationships, because people tend to stick to him because of his money. And he’s older than Cal (late thirties if I remember correctly), so he decides early on that he needs to avoid anything close to having something more than a hookup with Cal, because he’s “too old” and “too serious” for him. And it takes him a very long while to realise that he is, in fact, head over heels in love with Cal.
What I liked (apart from everything involving Cal) were the parts about diving - it reminded me of everything I love about diving, and made me long to go under water again.
All in all, an entertaining, relaxing feel-good book that feels like a good finale for the Wilde-brothers books.

4 Loved-this-wilde-ride-into-the-sea Stars!! 😍 🤩 What a perfect adventure to end the Forever Wilde series! I loved every minute of it.. 💕
Cal's day couldn't have gotten to a worse start when he is caught in the closet of the owner of the Worthington ; a yacht where he was hoping to work as a chief's mate. 😳 But to his surprise, Jon Worthington turns out to be a friendly and down-to-earth person. When Cal tells him that he was brought on board by Worth's would be brother-in-law, Worth decides to keep Cal as his guest (fake boyfriend) to catch said would-be BIL in the act of cheating, and save his younger brother from making a mistake. Both Cal and Worth feel an instant spark of attraction, but decide to keep things platonic so as to not complicate things further. Nevertheless, pretend-intimacy leads to real intimacy and soon Cal starts to fall head over heels for Worth. Worth too starts to see Cal in a new light and starts hoping for a real relationship beyond this short vacation in the Caribbean. But Cal is fiercely proud and independent and does not want Worth or Worth's affluent family to think of him as a charity case or a free-loader. Worth on the other hand feels every bit of their nineteen year age gap. He thinks that Cal may be too young to settle down with him. Will Worth be able to show Cal how much he means to him before Cal leaves for good? Will Cal realize in time that Worth doesn't care about Cal's humble background and loves him for the self-made man he is? Can the two find lasting love that sustains in spite of the age-gap and long distance? 💞
The story has a great summer holiday vibe with all the Caribbean locales and sea exploration 🏖 Both Cal and Worth are likable MCs with realistic personalities💞. The supporting characters are likable too and add to the plot. Highly recommended to all fans of low-angst, May-December romance👍 👍. The story also gave me a sense of nostalgia to see the Wilde family all happily settled in Hobie, Texas (except Felix who is in Monaco), since this is the last full-length novel from LL in this series. ❤️. I'm looking forward to her next series.. 😍

Cal/Calgary Wilde, 23, gets homesick thinking about his big diverse, loving family, but working is important, too.
Cal gets on board the yacht by going there with a clubbing guy, who says he owns it, but then leaves him all alone. Jon, the real owner finds him in the closet, and Cal tells his story, to find out that the clubbing cheater, is Lucas's fiancé.
A deal is struck, but changes later, because the circumstances get murky.
Cal is great as Jon's fake boyfriend for their trip, as Cal gets Jon to loosen up, and later feelings take over, oh-oh.
As they cruise, diver, and have fun, it's obvious that these two would be terrific together. Cal tells stories about his Wilde family, and gets along with everyone. Jon is enjoying his yacht more than ever before, but it's due to Cal's free-wheeling, happy personality.
Our men have their sexy times, and then later, Cal gets an emergency call from home, and must leave.

Young ‘poor’ boy falls for 20 years+ older billionaire. And vice versa.
If I label this a modern fairy-tale romance, it’s quite ok.
I enjoyed most of the featherlight, pretty predictable and unrealistic story which feels reminiscent of the good old Mills and Boon romances I loved as a teenager (which btw is not a bad thing!), but it was a little bit disappointing that the quite considerable age gap didn't feature more.
I liked lively, sociable and good-hearted Cal, but found (supposedly) serious workaholic Worth (and omg what a name!) less convincing. The last 10 percent, covered in sweet platitudes and all together OTT, were definitely a teeny on the cringe-worthy side for me.
Also beware that there are appearances from a lot of the other guys from the ‘Wilde bunch’ and if you haven’t read the previous books, your head might spin a little for a chapter or two.
This author knows how to write, and I loved her last three stand-alone novels, but I have found it harder to take to her longer series ('Forever Wilde' and 'Made Marian') which are far too sweet for my taste.

Like most of Lucy Lennox's novels, don't be looking for a super realistic plot. Mega billionaire opens his closet to find a super hot cutie, twenty years his junior, wearing his pj's? That's just the beginning of when you'll need to suspend your disbelief in NautiCal. Even with my continual eye rolling, it was still a fun romance, and I did enjoy it.
I absolutely hate to say negative things in reviews, but I have to wonder who is doing Michael Dean's post production proofing? It seems like lately he's been mispronouncing more and more words, and his accents have been a bit tough to listen to. He still rocks the sex scenes though, and the warm, friendly vibe that comes through in his characters continues to have me purchasing audiobooks narrated by him.
Lucy Lennox's descriptions of the warm Caribbean waters, the enjoyable experiences diving and sailing, and the fun this group of people have together is wonderfully done. All in all, a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours while I'm stuck in rainy New York.

A fun final installment in this series (or at least final for now...or final full length novel).
Cal is the youngest boy of Bill - Grandpa & Doc's son - and we are finally getting his book, his adventure.
Cal loves to sail and be out on the water more than anything. For he past two years he's been working on boats, trying to move his way up, when he meets a man, Prescott, one night as he's getting ready to go home and figure out what to do with his life. He had a dream of owning the camp this woman Annie had, who he was close to growing up as she taught him how to sail at that camp, and he wanted to take over. But her family, her nephew, came and family is everything, so...she was giving it to them. So without that, Cal didn't know what to do.
But his time working on boats is coming to an end, and he goes out and leaves Prescott, who claims a big yacht called the Worthington, is his. See, Worth has tried to let Lucas know how shitty Prescott is before, but Lucas hasn't wanted to hear it, so Worth thinks it's a good idea for Cal to pretend to be his friend he invited on the boat while he flirts with Prescott to show his true nature to Lucas.
But soon, as they are getting closer, they become "fake" boyfriends. Although it wasn't intended, Cal couldn't seem to help himself and Worth isn't all that bothered by it. So they pretend to be dating, and Cal, who is a sweetheart and charming and kind, worms his way not only into Worth's heart, but the rest of everyone on the boat - except Prescott.
And soon Cal and Worth are becoming so close that the whole "flirt with Prescott to make him show his true colors" thing kinda falls by the wayside. In fact, for the most part, they seem to forget their deal and Prescott altogether, and just start to fall for each other.
I myself think things were a tad rushed - this takes place mainly over about like...5 days or so? - for my liking, but these two were sweet together so I didn't mind too much in the end, and the end of the story was fairly strong imo.
The chemistry was good, I found, but not steamy enough. There were a few times this dragged a bit for me, so those little things combined made me give this one star off.
But overall this was a great installment, it was fun, it was entertaining, and these two were cute together. A wonderful final installment in this series which I've loved so much. I do so hope we get at least short stories here and there of our fave couples like Lennox said she might do at the end. I don't know if I'll ever be ready to fully say goodbye to this big, lovable family.

I'm happy to say that NautiCal didn't fall under the curse I've had with this author lately. Sure, it's over the top and extremely unrealistic but it lacked the thing that makes me roll my eyes while reading. I actually enjoyed the "over the topness" in this one. It was actually funny.
I liked Cal and Worth together, but Cal totally stole the show. He was a ray of sunshine, I got happy as soon as he had some page time.

NautiCal is the eighth (and seemingly last) of the Forever Wilde series and it turned out to be one of my favorites. The series follows the Wilde family and the characters appear in each other’s books. However, the individual stories stand alone and this one does in particular, as Cal is only in Hobie a short time. So you can jump in here with no problem.
This story hit so many of my hot button tropes, between the fake relationship set up, the age difference between the men, and the forced proximity as they are all on the ship together. Cal and Worth are great together, and Lennox gives us some fabulous sexual tension before they ultimately succumb to their attraction. Both men have their doubts about how things could work given their differences, but this isn’t an angsty story and it mostly focuses on the way the guys make each other feel.

Although I don't give 5 stars often, I have to explain why I gave it to this book.
This book was the equivalent of comfort food or snuggling in your favorite blanket. It seems like most of the books I give 5-stars have more flowery prose that some people consider over the top, but usually the writing is amazing and the story calls to me.
This wasn't like that at all. It was lovely and sweet. Val was a bit of a cinnamon roll, but I loved that about him! He was seriously a ray of sunshine. Worth was pretty amazing himself and I adored the fact that there was very little angst. It was a breath of fresh air. Don't get me wrong, I can really chow down on some hurt/comfort, but when a low angst story is written well, I get the warm fuzzies.
Lucy has always been a favorite. She has a sense of humor that aligns with mine and I love the fact that she has such a strong theme of family and friends in most of her books. Yes, sometimes it can be a little ridiculous but I rarely mind that with her. I get excited when a new book of hers comes out because I know she is going to make me feel good.
Ok, I am done beating a dead horse with all of my gushing, but this was perfect for me and came at the perfect time in my life.

daaaaaaaaamn these last two Wilde books are by far my favorites!! I am tempted to go back and read the other brothers books now, but I am worried it won't live up to King or Cal's books!!
I don't think you would need to read the other books to read this one but you do get snip-its of the Wilde family like always and it could spoil what happens to the other brothers if you haven't read the previous books, but if that doesn't bother you then I recommend reading this one!

This is totally a “it’s not you, its me “ situation where the author is great and the story is fun and dialogue always flows well but it just doesn’t fit what I enjoy anymore so we’re not a good match. I prefer stories where there’s more emotions involved and while there are declarations of love by the end of this story everything is smothered in humor that takes away any form of seriousness. This was fine, I skimmed some but I did eventually finish.

I want to be a Wilde. They are hands-down one of the best families I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I adore all of them and their unforgettable quirks. I wish I could visit Hobie, Texas and hug them all.
Oh, how I love Cal and Worth. “Every day with you is an adventure, and because of you, our lives are full of passion and meaning.” Gah, these two sailed their way into my heart and I would happily spend the rest of my days being their valet—of any kind—if only I could see them smile. I’m especially touched by Cal’s special name for Worth and how Worth will do anything to make Cal happy. Their connection, humor, love and stubbornness won me over from the start and I just don’t want to let go. A truly fantastic and amazing romance that will buoy your heart for life.

Lucy Lennox is a master storyteller. She creates characters that are likeable, easy to relate to, and sexy no matter what they look like, and she makes taking the journey to their HEAs an adventure. NautiCal is no exception.
I jumped at the chance to get an advance copy of this last of the Wilde series and I'm glad I did. It's one of my favorites now, not sure exactly what place behind Wilde Love - I'll have to go back and re-read to compare to rank them by my preference, darn it.
At any rate, Cal Wilde's story grabbed me from the first page. Take forced proximity, a fake boyfriend, an age gap, and mix them up in Lucy's skilled hands and you've got a recipe for a wonderful escape book. Fun and funny, sexy and tender. It's not 100% necessary to have read the rest of the Forever Wilde series to enjoy NautiCal but you'll miss out on some context and inside humor. Highly recommend!

This was book 8 in the
"Forever Wilde"
series. Cal Wilde is in the Caribbean when he hooks up with a guy Prescott who told him he was the owner of a very nice ship turns out he wasn't. Jonathan Worthington and he is surprised to find a young hot sexy guy in his closet Cal has been in there for hours. Turns out Prescott is his brothers fiance. Cal was fun loving and enjoyed his work he has been working on boats since he was a teenager. Worth is nursing a broken heart his last boyfriend only wanted him for his money. These two make a deal to try to trap Prescott Worth wants to get the slimy little weasel away from his brother. I liked his brother Lucas and his sister Natalie they want to see him happy and was glad when he starts to relax. Cal doesn't want handouts and he panics when he realizes how rich Worth really is. When Cal tells them about his family Prescott doesn't believe him that his cousin is married to a king or that his brother was an alleged art thief so he tells Worth that Cal is using him. When these two begin having sex it was hot and when Cal is accidentally hurt while diving Worth is worried about him. Cal has to leave early because someone he cares about is hurt. When he comes up with a plan for the rest of his life he goes to Worth only it doesn't go as planned. This was a good read with no errors in grammar or spelling. I also loved the narration on this series. I hope to read more from the characters in this series as I already read the next book in this series.

4.5 stars! I think this was my favorite Wilde novel which shocked me since I haven’t really liked the ones that take place outside of Hobie as much as the ones that involve more of the family, but this one just did it for me! I laughed so often my husband was looking at me funny, but Cal and Worth just worked so well together. Funny, charming, extremely steamy at points, this book really had it all. This one was also so well researched that I actually felt like I knew about boats (or more likely ships) by the end of it, and Lucy made it incredibly interesting the entire time. It’s definitely going to be a reread for me in the future, and I cannot wait for the audio.

Not my favourite of the series, but by no means terrible. Just kind of forgettable. I am so tired of large age gaps. There were a lot of other small things I wasn’t a fan of, such as both MCs reactions when they left each other, how quickly they fell in love, and the ENTIRE Lucas/Prescott storyline.
Lucy Lennox’s trademark humour is here though, if not a bit dimmed. I think these books of hers where I’m slightly bored really help me appreciate the majority of her books that I do love.

I have read a few books in the "Forever Wilde" series and I liked most of them and even loved some. However, so far I think this is my favorite.
Nautical is fun to read, it has very sweet moments, enough twists and turns to keep you invested and two absolutely loveable main characters.
Cal is a captain, who hooks up with a guy who owns a yacht and promises a job after their night together.
However, in the morning it turns out, Prescott doesn't really own the ship, he's just the (cheating) partner of the owners brother, and Cal finds himself hidden in a closet - naked.
This is where Worth, the actual owner finds him a few hours later.
Together they plot a plan to show Worth's brother that his partner Prescott is a cheating weasel, so Cal finds himself pretending to be Worth's friend.
Sounds like a lot of fun and it definitely is, but surprisingly there are also lots of feelings involved and it was an entertaining but also emotional read.
Everyone was a little too black or white, the main characters were a little too good to be real, but okay let's keep in mind that this is a m/m romance and for me it was a great read! Solid 4 stars and recommended.
As usual you don't need to know the other parts of the series, although there are some nice references and phone calls with guys you might remember from the other books...

I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, sexy, funny modern fairy tale. There is no angst in this one, just warmth and humor and overall "feel good" feeling throughout the entire book. Forced proximity worked really well in this one.

When reading the blurb I assumed that there will be only two of them on board but it was not the case. And though I liked the secondary characters it felt like too much sometimes - I wished for more quite "just you and me" time for MCs to explore their feelings. The connection was there but I wasn't convinced it was enough to declare eternal love immediately after. Especially since Cal and Jon are so different (age, occupation, life style, etc). And
