God I thought this was funny at first but then it became so stupid like the mc’s are non stop bickering. F sake man, this manga gave me a headache ngl 😖
It’s ridiculous (sometimes maybe a bit too much) with peak humor and the misunderstandings/ communication are there but I didn’t mind them. But even all this it also has it’s really sweet and tender moments. Would reread it!!
A very good omegaverse romance where omegas are treated decently and people aren’t completely compelled by their instincts. Shishikura is an omega who dreams of marriage when all his friends find their partners. Desperate, he enters a matchmaking service, only for them to take forever to find his match.
Kotani is Shishikura’s new coworker, but it turns out the men have attended the same school—and have hated each other since then, for fairly childish reasons. But when heat abruptly strikes Shishikura and he doesn’t have his supressants, he’s desperate enough to sleep with Kotani to ease the symptoms.
When the matchmaking results finally come, it turns out the men are each other’s perfect match. But only on paper, and they reject the results. They can barely stand each other, and fight constantly. Yet they end up in bed together often too.
Things take a turn when Shishikura starts seeing a man of his parents’ choosing. Both realise they might have feelings for each other, which leads to one of the angriest confession scenes ever. But that doesn’t mean the men are ready for happily ever after. Far from it.
This was a good star to a series. The men are so angry and annoying it makes difficult to like them, but there’s a lot of very graphic spice to compensate. I’ll definitely have to read on to see how this can possibly lead to a happy ending.
I received a free copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
This was a delight in every sense of the word. The art was beautiful, the comedy was classic Haruta and spot on, and the characters were fun. Do I think it is absolutely stupid and ridiculous that Kotani was holding a grudge from MIDDLE SCHOOL when he's TWENTY-NINE? Absolutely. But it was easy for me to leave that detail behind as we got to know the characters and see their interactions.
But honestly? My favorite parts about this were the omegaverse aspects. I really like how Haruta depicted heats, and I loved the detail of having suppressants and a sleeping medication for when it gets really bad. I really liked nesting being seen not just as a comfort thing but as a courting thing. I liked the brain fog and heat coming on slowly and ramping up. I liked medication not being as effective over time or around an extremely compatible alpha. I liked Shishikura, in general, as an omega, and how it was treated as literally just another part of his identity. I liked how society had 'progressed' and there wasn't sigma or social hierarchies around secondary sexes.
Yeah it wasn't like the most out there or unique version of omegaverse, but it was just, kind of subtle and very normal, which I just really liked. It was refreshing almost, and I can see myself coming back to this one again and again.
I am so excited for the sequel to come out and honestly I liked this so much that I am about to bestow upon it the highest honor I can -- I am going to buy it twice. I have it physically, and I like it so much I'm going to get a digital copy too.
I loved them!! This manga was hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing. The bickering, the sass, the jealousy and their inner thoughts, made me wish this manga would last forever.
Ps= It was nice to see all good Alphas in this story. Finally an A/B/O story where there was no rape.
Remembering beef with someone from school days is not only hilarious but so petty of the two of them. This was a pretty cliche storyline but I really enjoyed their banter and their faces when they realized their compatibility. They went from "over my dead body" to begrudgingly getting it in
I do get a bit bummed out sometimes during heat scenes because they're always so cringe. I did have a few laughs during this one because they argued the entire time. If their hands or mouths weren't at work, they were jabbering away so the act of consent was verified.
Overall this was a quick and enjoyable read with an okay spice amount. If you like stories with characters who hate each other's guts, I recommend.
Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for the DRC.
Dude is desperate to get married and bumps into his co-worker who holds a grudge on him cuza something he did in high school. But one day they're walking home the same way and he gets his heat and this and that happens then they have sex.
For a story that is almost nothing but porn, the character development and story is well developed. A very enjoyable read, though I should say that there is zero censorship and even x-ray scenes...
A quite strange book, while I love the enemies to lovers trope, the whole reason they became enemies was quite stupid. The way they both acted felt a bit unnatural and quite childish for me to fully enjoy.
I picked it up because it’s an omegaverse and an office enemies to lovers trope.
I wasn’t bad. It delivered on the above but I also feel like I still don’t know why they “love” each other except that they are biologically/sexually really compatible 🤷♀️
ennemies to lovers ! stubborn yuu has been longing for a relationship and a married life. so, what better way to have those than to apply on website ? but the one who's the best match for him is ... his 'worst ennemy' ?
A fun read. There is a history between our characters that’s explained and the relationship is a bit of enemies to lovers. Once they admit their feelings it feels like the story is rushed, although it might just be that I wanted a longer story knowing it’s a one shot. Kotani is a bit of a tsundere and we get that towards the end. We just think he’s a jerk when he tries to sabotage Shishikura’s marriage meeting and all the things he tells him to throw us off that he’s really in love. I want more of their story. I want to see how it develops afterwards. I guess I’m just gonna have to imagine it. 😩🤷♀️

Spicy and Sweet! I love that these two started out hating each other and then slowly fall in love. Seeing them develop until the end when they get together was adorable!
