Veritas was a great conclusion of Marcus and Lana’s story! Verto Veneri left me wanting and and needing to know more, and Autumn Archer brought it and fulfilled all those answers and more in Book 2. I loved how this book drew me in and I couldn’t put it down. I had to keep flipping the pages to see what was going to happen next. Awesome read and I can’t wait to read Book 3 about Marcus’s brother!
Veritas was a great conclusion of Marcus and Lana’s story! Verto Veneri left me wanting and and needing to know more, and Autumn Archer definitely brought it and fulfilled all those answers and more in Book 2. I loved how this book drew me in and I couldn’t put it down. I had to keep flipping the pages to see what was going to happen next. Awesome read and I can’t wait to read Book 3 about Marcus’s brother!
'He lay in the ashes of his regret and drank the remains of his resolve, knowing perfectly well that Lana was the only one to fix him.'
Veritas had me HOOKED! I can't believe this is a debut series! The writing and the story in general were what you would expect from a multi-published author. Autumn Archer is such a talented writer, I was blown away. Everything about this series so far was ON POINT and I can't wait to read more. Though I must say, I'm super sad that it's the end of Lana and Marcus' story as they were just so magical together.
So, on to Marcus' younger brother Jamie next. We got a little peek of him in Veritas and now we want MORE! I honestly wish Veritas was longer or there was one more book continuing their story, I need to know what their future holds haha! In my opinion, this book/series was on par with the greats of the romance/erotica genre. These books are definitely worth a read if you love drama, passion, romance, angst and sexy millionaire alpha heroes!! This is book 2 in the series so please read Verto Veneri first!
VERITAS is book 2 in the UNFORGETTABLE SERIES. This book is every bit as intense as the first, and will have you on the edge of your seat. If you enjoy romantic suspense that are fast-paced with plenty of heat, then you must read these books - starting with VERTO VENERI. Be prepared to fall in love with Marcus McGrath. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!!!
We're back. Cliffhangers, man: I was in pins and needles waiting for this book and it was worth it. Autumn Archer knows how to keep us on the edge of our seats and invested in these characters. Though there were times where I thought: "Everything is good, we're ready for our hapily ever after now", deep down I knew that it just wouldn't be that easy and that we still needed to go through some experiences for that to happen. There were still some wrinkles that needed ironing before we could hang up this fabolous garment and appreciate it.
Emilio Falcone was a very good addition to this mix: without spilling anything out, I'm hoping we can see more of him in the future. I'm on the fence about him: I don't loving him yet but I definitely don't hate him either. What does that say about me, people-who-already-read-this-book? Was that enough to make up your mind about him? Or is it all in there and I've just been corrupted by all theese "tall, dark, handsome and misterious" types, that I can't seem to see straight to him and his behavior? I really wanna know what he's about.
Also, Jamie McGrath, Marcus brother. *swoon* We learn a little bit more about him in this book and I'm already in it for the long run. Can't wait to see what's in store for him.
Is this action packed? Hell yes. Suspensul? Are you kidding me? Even I was looking over my shoulder from time to time. Sexy? Uh, yeah. Marcus might be the devil Lana sold her soul to, but can you really blame? I know I can't. He's definetely delivering in the "high temperatures" department. So hot. That last chapter? Still fanning myself.
I honestly don't know what else to talk about without accidentaly giving something away, so I'm gonna stop here.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series and I'm excited to see what else Autumn Archer has up her sleeve for us after.
*I received an ARC and I´m voluntarily leaving my honest review.*
An explosive and incredible second book in the series. It picks up from where the first book left off and finds Lana in the hands of the wrong man. This series just gets better & better. Marcus is definitely the alpha male possessive type who looks after his woman. He fights for what or shall I say who he wants. The hot steamy sex scenes are off the chart between Marcus & Lana and there need for one another is hot and passionate. There is lots of danger in this book as the story unfolds and we see different things happening with different characters.
An explosive second book. I can't wait to read book 3 in the series and see what happens with Jamie's story. X
Veritas, the second book in The Unforgettable Series is a story that will have you on the edge of your seat. Marcus and Lana are a complicated pair that had my anxiety levels on high alert making me want to claw my way out of my skin. Their connection is electric and the need to protect Lana is so overwhelming to a man who has always kept women at arms length. As the need for her overrules everything, Marcus will have to come to terms with the fact that she owns his heart. Their story is action packed, steamy and packed full of revelations that will break all the rules for this pair as they navigate their way into not only each other’s hearts, but yours.
This is book two in The Unforgettable Series. Make sure you read book one Verto Veneri first.
Lana and Marcus story continues. This was on edge of the seat read for me. Longer than book one but I still had to read in one sitting.
Without spoiling it this is a great read with plenty of drama and suspense. I couldn’t read it quick enough. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
So we picked up from Verto Veneri book1 and that cliffhanger OMG!!!! Veritas was full of suspense, drama, so intense at times and was again with so much hotness! I loved Marcus & Lana’s journey l going to miss them! So happy we are getting Jamie's story Marcus brother!
Wow! I loved it, I was so happy it picked up straight from where book 1 left it! Reading more from Marcus and Lana was great, I kept trying to guess where the story was going but just when I thought I had it, the story would just get away from me! Which kept me reading!
This book starts off where book 1 (verto veneri) finishes, with Lana going against Marcus’ wishes of returning to Rory’s home. Marcus manages to rescue Lana but this pushes their relationship in to unfamiliar territory, leading Marcus to let her go.
While Marcus is trying to figure out what he wants Lana fall into the arms of Emilio falcone.
I was given an advanced readers copy of this book and have decided to leave a voluntary honest review. I truly enjoyed this second book more than first. I pretty much devoured it lol. Marcus truly let his dominant side show in this one. He was ruthless and man is that sexy quality in man. What I also love about him is he doesn't bs he tells it how it is. Doesn't give false hope. He's a man's man. Lana I truly felt for her in this book, not only was she hurt but more than one and not by the same person. But she's strong. Now I can't wait for Jamie's book, something about him draws me to him I have a feeling he will be worse than marus when it comes to playboys lol.
This book had me on the edge of my seat at times but what a ride it took you on. I love this storyline so much. Gripping but also makes you smile so big.
These characters are simply the best and Marcus holds a piece of my heart. He is undoubtedly swoon worthy and one of my top book boyfriends I think. The way he protects Lana just melts my heart.
I loved the rollercoaster of a ride with both book 1 and 2, I definitely can’t wait to read more from this author. Loved every second of reading this book. Definitely a 5⭐️ read and one I will recommend to everyone.
I'm still hanging off from Veritas. This book slayed it with all the emotions. The drama factor was hit hard with this book. The passion between Lana and Marcus was insane. This story kept me on the edge. I didn't want this story to end. Believe me when I say there is never a dull moment. The Unforgettable Series is true to its name. I will be on a major book hangover for days to come. I'm excited for Jamie's story next!
A great conclusion to this duet which started with Verto Veneri. The action picks up exactly where the last book left off, with Lana in peril. Will Marcus come to her rescue? Can this profligate womaniser change his ways? Is there even a future for them?
Even when you think this story has settled and reached its happy ending, you’re wrong. This story has more twists and turns than a labyrinth and you’re left breathless by the end.
Marcus and Lana undergo quite the transformation throughout this book. The chemistry between them is as steamy as ever, but it morphs into something more, something deeper.
A really enjoyable read, but I’m already looking forward to Marcus’ brother Jamie’s book next.
Electrifying, gripping and sexy. There's a difference between a guy in a suit and a man in a suit and Marcus is definitely that panty dropping man. Marcus and Lana's story sucks you in from the very beginning, leaving you wanting more. Book 1, Verto Veneri is an exciting read and Book 2, Veritas tops it off wistfully. The Unforgettable Series is an excellent, suspenseful, gripping yet steamy and passionate read. I can't wait until Book 3, Venatus comes out 😆
Veritas, the second book in The Unforgettable Series is a story that will have you on the edge of your seat. Veritas is just like its name...totally unforgettable. I can't believe this is a debut series by Autumn Archer. That woman has a wicked fantasy and way with words. The plot was twisted, smoking hot and kept me the whole time on pins and needles. It was a true rollercoaster and I could not stop to read. It was so good. It's every book worm's problem when reading incredibly good book. I am sure you all know what I am talking about.
Fears and jealousy have been fought, love has been kept outside the high walls built around ones heart. Until their feelings could not be kept inside the fortress any more.. And like a true romantic book wrong has been righted in the end.
I am absolutely excited for the next standalone story in these series.
Veritas is the second book in the Unforgettable series so make sure you read Verto Veneri first. It picks up right where VV ends. This book is more intense, suspenseful and sexy. Marcus and Lana are great together. I really enjoyed reading their story. If you like romantic suspense this book is for you. I’m looking forward to read more from this author.
DNF at chapter 10. Was this even the same person that wrote the 1st book? In the 1st book the dialogue was good. The interactions were good. This book was not at all like that. It honestly felt like a different person wrote it. Almost like a teenager wrote it. I don’t know but I just couldn’t do it. They all sounded so immature.
Veritas picks up where Verto Veneri left us, right in the middle of all the suspense and drama. I don't want to give away too many of the plot points but after this first hurdle is overcome. Marcus decides that Lana is safer if he isn't a part of her life and breaks things off. Devastated Lana sets her mind to learning how to stand on her own two feet; but with flashbacks and anxiety over what happened to her, life is a constant battle.
Cue Freddy (Marcus's chef) he becomes a close friend of Lana's and he is a refreshing character, I really liked him. Freddy and Lana take the opportunity to work in Italy for Marcus's younger brother Jamie for a couple of weeks, hoping this would give Lana the head space she needs to get back on track. However far Lana goes Marcus is never far behind, and so begins the chemistry and battle of the wills between our hero and heroine to fight against there mutual attraction.
There was a lot about this book I enjoyed, the addition of Jamie and Freddy as secondary characters, the chemistry between Lana and Marcus is still hot! I liked that they were both fighting to not show their need for one another, yet clearly fighting fate.
Although this time around as Marcus and Lana's relationship developed on a deeper level I struggled to move past the third person context and missed that connection to the leading characters. I missed that inner monologue during the emotional moments that you only gets from the characters thinking their thoughts in detail. I found Lana to be too insecure at times and her personality changed quicker than I could click my fingers. I think if you have that first person POV to explain her thought process in these moments, it wouldn't have felt so extreme, she wouldn't have comes across as irritating as she did to me. As a result I found myself wanting to know more about Jamie and what he was up to rather than another freak out from Lana's green eyed monster unfortunately.
Jamie, Marcus's younger brother really intrigued me, he seems more laid back and at ease compared to Marcus. Although following in his brothers footsteps in the business mindset, he feels more free spirited and I want to know more. I loved the banter between the two brothers and this added a little levity to the more suspenseful aspects of the story.
Overall this was a good read but for me personally at times I struggled with the third person POV and missed a little depth and justification behind the characters thoughts, feelings and actions. This I know is a personal preference of mine; but I thought the story and characters were likeable and interesting enough to keep me looking forward to the next book in the series.
if you think that the first book was amazing this one is WOWWWW I can't even find the right words to describe it. it was hot and good and beautiful. i loved everything about this book. I hated that sick bastard Carl with passion he deserved what happened to him. (he is a pig) Marcus loved Lena and you will smile when he becomes possessive and jealous. don't want to spoil the book its a must read and you will enjoy it so much. im waiting for Jamie story you will going to love Marcus's brother Jamie "
Great follow up book to the first one! Marcus is someone anyone would love to read about because of the person he is... Love their story and everyone should read it!!! They encounter some things in between the good they had going on but who doesn’t go through those motion???
Enjoyed the supporting characters... JAMIE had me starry eyed since reading about him through his brother Marcus’s thoughts!!! Can’t wait for his story!!!
Autumn did well telling this story... capturing the real emotions and conflicted feelings of doubt we sometimes dread up in our heads when there’s road blocks in front of us... I wanted to kick Lana’s butt for her childishness sometimes and Marcus for being Marcus but hey, when there’s another dude on the look out, you gotta play your cards right or you lose out.
One Click this story of ‘trying again because that person is worth it in the end’!!! Marcus and Lana, their story starts unusually but see where they end up!! Thanks Autumn for the arc. Enjoyed this x
This picks up from the crazy ass cliffhanger in the first book, and whew was it a doozy. This book has so many twist, turns and wtf moments. These two take their hits for sure, they do split for a hot second, but it was a hot second too long for me. Not gonna lie, not a huge Marcus fan, when the really emotional tough got going, so did he. Did I understand it, absolutely, but I still didn’t like it. The only thing that really redeemed him for me is that he is excellent at groveling, he’s completely honest, his regret is real and he really does adore her. The heat between these two is so hot, like combustible hot.
Great storyline, I know when I can’t put a book down, then it’s a great book. And every single emotion I could feel, I did...so damn much. I lost a lot of sleep reading this bit of book crack, and I am sure that Autumn Archer is trying to figure out how to block my stalking...err following. #IKid. I was already asking her about his little brother Jamie’s book...before I finished this one. #MyAddictionIsReal
I liked the first book more than the second. The story was interesting, and there was definitely a lot of action happening to keep it moving but there were times where it felt like maybe too much was happening, and some parts were a little too information heavy (at least for me it was, if you like a lot of info than it might be perfect for you), and I didn’t connect with any of the characters. I just couldn’t get into it and that could’ve honestly been for a number of reasons, some that done pertain to the book at all.
I did like the narration, although there were a couple times where the narration for one of the male characters sounded a little rushed, almost like they were just trying to get the book done with, but even with those few moments I thought the emotions of the scenes were shown perfectly in the narrations.
I cannot believe that this is Autumn Archer’s debut series. She had me completely enraptured from the moment I began reading the novella Verto Veneri, and that continued once I commenced Veritas. Lana Craig and Marcus McGrath once again charmed me with their passion.
VERITAS picks up precisely where VERTO VENERI left off. Lana is defying Marcus and this leads to trouble. Marcus needs to find his woman in time. Not all things work out as expected, but this is what I have come to love about Ms Archer's writing .... expect the unexpected.
The introduction of Emilio Falcone into the story rally sets the cat amongst the pigeons. Marcus finally has to come to terms and admit his true emotions for Lana. Has he left it to late though? Will Lana be swept off her feet by the tall, dark and handsome Italian?
How much did I love this book? Putting it simply - it was brilliant. Ms Archer presents a sexy, passionate, suspenseful, gripping story that I would class as "unputdownable". She tease her audience constantly, but that's half the fun of it.
I cannot wait to read Jamie's story - he's Marcus' brother and he's just as hot!!!! After meeting him, I definitely want more of that man!!!
An awesome debut by Autumn Archer and a definite MUSTREAD!
I flew through this sequel to Verto Veneri! It's suspenseful and sexy, and my heart was racing for Marcus and Lana to figure things out between them and catch the crazy guy. I liked it better than the first book actually, because there was more plot and tension. It picks up right where Verto Veneri left off, so definitely have this one on hand as soon as you finish that one!
OH how I loved to hate the creepy, psychopathic, egotistical villain, and can I just say I am so glad how THAT worked out. I like my revenge bloody. *evil smile*
I am SO looking forward to the next book that features Jamie McGrath! I would recommend Autumn Archer to anyone who loves steamy and romantic suspense novels!
The second installment of this series was great! ** this book can’t be read as a standalone**
I was left intrigued and this book definitely answers some of my questions. Marcus and Lana story is a page turner. It’s action packed, suspenseful and leaves you wanting more. Great series! Quick reads that you will enjoy.
Seriously? This book was so good! The ups and downs, insecurity and innuendos, love and heat! Marcus is so freakin hard headed and Lana is so unsure of herself and Marcus. Throw in a hot Italian guy, a crazy lunatic, and the sexy brother and you have a hot as hades book! Looking forward to the next book with the sexy brother!
