Welcome to Dark Moon Falls … where everything is not as it seems. It has secrets, shifters, romance, villains and so much more.
When Cooper Bennett returns home to Dark Moon Falls for his grandfather’s sudden and unexpected funeral, he not only has to face the pack he was banned from eight years ago but also the love he’d left behind.
Kassidy McQueen is not only still single and as beautiful as he remembers, but also living in the very house he’s inherited. Unable to remain in pack territory,
Cooper must sell the ranch and move on. Only his overwhelming attraction to the feisty redhead who is holding a grudge against him for leaving has his head spinning and his heart rebelling when passion once again ignites, and love and regret come back to surface.
Susan Griscom, writes paranormal and contemporary romance. She's hooked on gritty romances and is a huge fan of superheroes and bad boys confronted with extraordinary forces of nature, powers, and abilities beyond the norm mixed with steamy romance, of course.
She loves those days when she gets to sit around in her sweat pants, doing nothing but writing emotionally charged stories about love and violence and drinking coffee.
She lives in Northern California with her romantic husband and together they have five great superhero kids and eight mini-superhero grand kids, so far.
I really liked this book. It wasn’t to long and it wasn’t to short. I loved how it had a mystery type undertone and I was honestly surprised by some of the ending. I plan to definitely read the rest of the series.
Loved how short this book was! It was entertaining enough to keep my attention but not to the point of overstimulation and that’s probably why it was able to get me out of my reading slump.
Predicted the ending wrong which was nice because I hate spoiling books for myself (also because I wasn’t overthinking or overstimulating myself). Overall, very thankful I read this. It was the book I didn’t know I needed to read
If you love a fun cute happily ever after this story is for you. If you like military romances you will want to read Cooper's story. He is a Medal of Honor recipient. If you love second chance romance you will love Cooper and Kassidy's story. If you love shifter books, you will want to read Cooper now. It is a quick fun read with a few twists that will shock you. But the happily ever after will have you howling at the moon.
Cooper has been gone for eight years, only now returning home to bury his grandfather. When he sees Kassidy everything changes in his heart but will in change the Alpha' attitude. His decision is made for him when he discovers a conspiracy surrounding the ranch.
This author not only writes epic Vampire books, her shifter books are awesome also. I have never been a fan of shifter books. But I am now!!
Cooper heads home when he learns about his grandfathers death. He was banned by the pack 8 years ago. He left without a word to his girlfriend or anyone and went into the army.
When he gets home he sees Kassidy, well she she puts a gun to his back when she hears someone in the shower. She has no idea it's Cooper, he tells her that it is him. She lets him turn around and the sparks fly.
Right off the bat they have chemistry. This is their story. Such an amazing book. Well written, holds your interest from page one. You don't want to put it down. You will see there is no way to fight destiny. Love and destiny always win.
This is an excellent story. It's the first one I've read in this series but I will be reading all the rest! Cooper comes home for his grandfather's funeral and to sell the ranch he was left. He meets up with Kassy, the girl he left without a backward glance. The sparks are still there, but he can't stay because he was banned from the pack. Kassy is still angry he left with no word. But something is threatening the sale of his ranch, so they unite to find the problem. A fast paced story, easy to read and follow.
Cooper only came back to bury his grandfather and sell the ranch after being thrown out of the pack eight years ago leaving without ever telling Kassy why. Kassy lives on the ranch now but Cooper is going to sell it and leave again so no matter how much she loved him he left her with nothing. Something else is going on at the ranch and until it’s cleared up Cooper can’t sell but maybe the extra time will give him a chance to explain to Kassy why he left if she would give him the time of day. Sweet story and a happy ending.
A really well written book about betrayal, unexpected death, cattle attacks and revenge. Cooper comes home after 8 yrs. when he is informed his only relative has passed away and left him his ranch. He is reunited with his ex-girlfriend whom he left without an explanation all those year's ago. Now he is determined to leave again after he sells the ranch. But will unseen circumstances change his mind?
Cooper a wolf shifter returns home when his Grandpa dies
Cooper was returning to his home ranch after his grandpa died the last person he wanted to see was his old love Kassidy. Kassidy really wasn't ready to face Cooper after the way he left years ago. Can Cooper and Kassidy work together to solve who is killing the cows on the ranch. Will Cooper be forced to leave the pack again? I highly recommend this book
Awesome well written and easy to follow. S.G. your aweso e love your reads. This story about a coming home to bury a grandfather after years away. Having been thrown out for grand thief he lost his love. Only to share a house while preping to sell and leave again. Drama and a mystery.
Meh. Second chance romance is something I don't usually pick because I don't like the miscommunication that seems to be part of it. I haven't read one single second chance romance that doesn't have some form of miscommunication. Some do it well, most don't. This one doesn't do it well. She's annoying.
What an intro to Dark Moon Falls, promises many exciting stories to come. Seems like a little of a messed up pack but with what's returned now they have a better chance. I loved the second chance romance!
This was a good short read that was a little predicable but a good story all the same. I enjoyed the characters and plan to read the next book in the series.
For a short book this one was a decent story. Cooper and Kassidy took a long time to communicate what was going on in each other’s minds. But, the storytelling was pretty good.
Sometimes it's so hard to wait for a stubborn wolf to get it. Coop and kassy are fighting history and their future while they try to hunt down the creature responsible for deaths on the ranch.
This was a quick and easy read. I enjoyed the story line, but was startled by the abrupt ending. There was room for so much more to this wolf/shifter story.
Returning for a funeral after being banished from the pack opens old wounds. A bond that no amount of time can diminish may again cause heartbreak if the mistakes from the past can’t be forgiven. A heartwarming story that shows true love and fate will win when the time is right.
