Knox Ueno I never thought a bookworm librarian could crack my spine. Talk about underestimating a book by the plain cover. Siah rewrote every page I thought I knew, and then put me back on the shelf, well-used and ready for check-out again. I’m not mad that she worked me over. I’m pissed that she left.
Siah Kent When I went to Knox’s bed, I unleashed all my wicked fantasies. I can’t want more, so after our weekend together, I scribbled, “The End” to our story in my LoveRotica Sex Journal and boarded a flight for home. I’m single and satisfied until Knox rolls into town flipping all my well-ordered hormones with an erotic entry of his own. It doesn’t matter. He’ll never know my backstory, and I refuse to share my climax.
Red Velvet is an AmBw erotic romance in Lunchtime Chronicles series.
I knew Red Velvet was sweet but who knew it could be so hot?! This story is a sensual masterpiece. The dialogue is spicy, smart and feels genuine for all the characters. Before this installment to the Lunchtime Chronicles, "Thick Cut" was my favorite but this story takes love, trust, emotions and intimate connections to another level. Told in dual POV, you get a vivid portrait of the feelings and motivations of Siah and Knox - erotic, playful, tender and sometimes conflicted for Siah but never for Knox. There is also a nod to caring for family and African American culture that I appreciated. An entertaining romance featuring a librarian exploring her sexuality and an alpha male ready to make all her fantasies come true. 5 stars

I felt a light and happy while enjoying this one. I could understand Siah’s need to be there for her mother but he pushing Knox away repeatedly was getting annoying in such a short story.
The character names in this story- Serray and Siah Kent & Knox Ueno- are unique. The story had a great plot line and personality development. It read a little choppy. The transition from one part to the next did not flow smoothly which took away from the overall enjoyment.
This Wes a great read. The sex scenes were very steamy and off the chain! The chemistry between Knox and Siah was extremely hot. I truly recommend it, you will not be disappoined.
I lovvved Knox and Siah. When he said ‘feel my translation,’ I sighed. Though, one of my all-time favorite authors is Chinese, I’ve never read AMBW before, and I am so glad that this was my first. (This book popped my AMBW cherry, alright enough on that LOL). Knox’s confidence and vulnerability for Siah gave me all the feels. He loved her velvet . . . and she just needed to get the memo! I appreciate the role reversal when the woman is running away from love. These two were grown folk sexy and pretty funny.
When the same things in your life continue to fail, pay attention. Sometimes, it's an indicator of what you really need is on the way. Siah met her forever in Italy, but didn't want to acknowledge him because all of the previous guys let her down. So, she ran. Knox was a man who knew what he wanted and a finder of lost things to boot. Under no circumstances was he letting the love of his life off the hook. In his relentless pursuit of her, he made his presence known in every way and demanded her attention. Which she reluctantly gave after a chastising from her mother who kept living after a horrible accident rendered her physically disabled. Knox fought for their love. Siah gave into it. Truly a beautiful love story.
This book is hot, hot, hot. So be aware of that, you will not be disappointed. This read has a sexy alpha man and an equally adventurous heroine. When these two get together it's off the charts sexiness. That all I have to say besides...BUY IT!!!
For some reason, I didn't really get into this one. The story seemed a bit disjointed. I tried to follow along, but mostly it was the heroine trying to runaway from the hero and honestly, I never understood why she ditched him after their night of passion in Italy. There was no explanation on how these two even got together. Just that they may have been friends before and engaged in an intimate encounter and somehow, are in love with each other. I didn't really get what Knox even wanted to do with this woman. She's a messy mess lol But, since it was a short novella, I pushed through.
This book was all kinds of bad, rushed and cringe. I didn’t care for the characters, and I didn’t care for the story. I found myself just skipping through chunks just to get to the end.
The mother in this story stole the show. She was spicy, fun and a bundle of energy. I loved how she did not allow the fact that she was in a wheelchair to rule her life. She still had fun, was dating and fell in love. In stark contrast, her daughter Siah almost handicapped herself by not being open to the love the Knox was offering, for fear she couldn’t take care of her mother at the same time as being in love.
I felt bad for Siah. She was so torn in the story. She wanted to be the dutiful daughter, but she craved the love of a good man. When she found love, she ran from it. I am happy that Knox didn’t allow her to hide from him. He showed up and was like listen I love you. You are mine. Period.
Just because you are old doesn't mean one gives up on love. Siah was ready to spend the rest of her life taking care of her wheelchair bound mother until she discovered her mother had a life of her own and insisted that she get one too. I think Knox was patient with her and teaching her a lesson by giving her exactly what she asked for. Siah was miserable without him so their reunion was all the sweeter vowing their forever to each other.
I didn't feel any chemistry between Knox and Siah in the beginning of this story. But as it progressed they grew on me. I could help but chucking at how Siah found out about her mother's love interest. That was so funny. She learned that old people need live too.
His Rejuvenating Love - Knox and Siah have a pleasure filled weekend in Italy, but Siah returns home to her life. Unfortunately, Knox just can’t get over her and pursues her across the continent, but Siah is weary because of her history with relationships. It would take Knox’s perseverance and his alpha personality to give Siah the strength to overcome her fears. This emotionally challenging story will take you on a reading journey that is worth your time. The heat is scorching, the characters are engaging and the storyline will definitely keep you engrossed. It is a book worth reading.

I loved that he met her years ago and still can't get her out of his system. Then they are brought back to another friend's wedding and they spend an amazing weekend together. Only to wake up to an empty bed and a memory that neither of them can get over. And this man walks back into her life and is refusing to leave this time or allowing her to get away from him. Love, love Serray Kent, mom is wild. And she loves Knox. And big daddy. I enjoyed this one too. Can't wait to see what happens to messy Mandy.
This was a perfect confection of hide and go get it and Mama NOOO. I just love the entire series, I’m DEFINITELY looking forward to seeing Diesel and Mandy’s story.
Great break in the monotony of uncertainty.

The Sexy Librarian vs the Recovery Specialist. When Knox came to retrieve what he felt elwas HIS. He found her in a special 'session'...I knew it would be so on. The Sexy librarian is hesitant to love. She feels a duty to take care of her disabled mother and has her own fears. This lunchtime chronically took the cake. Check it out. The description of Knox will have you wishing you were a part of the story. His willingness to put down roots for Siah showed how in love he was with her. I am glad Siah realized her love life could be real and not just her fantasy. I love Serray her witty and loving way she handled Siah. Great story and awesome read.
This was the least liked books ever from this author. The brain chatter between both prime characters was just too much! It almost seemed like sex was what made them an item. There were no other redeeming qualities about either character. Hey mother was the most entertaining!
Dish and Knox had me wishing for a relationship like that, I love to read,& I love to write, short stories poetry. Even went a little nasty on the poetry after my divorce. I want someone like Knox, that loves to read and can d|{k me down. This was hot & good, Glad I bought all the series.
The writing was fine, the drama was kind of dumb and I was a little confused by this Loverotica concept but you know what I loved? THE LIBRARIAN STUFF!!!! She got that exactly right and I'm so happy there weren't any lame, shy or timid librarians here. And you know what else, the Dewey decimal system sucks and Dewey was a jerk SO RIGHT AGAIN! I will love this forever if only for that.
I guess its just me b/c other reviews are spectacular. It was all over the place for me… the characters voices… the direction of the storyline…it was like too much noise in the author’s cadence. Even the sex scenes… meh. The worst book for me thus far in this series.
Not one of my favourites in this series. Love myself some interracial love but found it hard to connect with the characters' motivations. Would have loved some more depth/detail to both Siah and Knox's thoughts especially in the 6 months that they were apart. The writing was a bit choopy and didn't flow very well which made me feel like the story was unfinished, even at the end.
This BOOK here!!!! Knox besides being a John Wick- type is 💣. He can speak for him when he said , “I’m going to fuck you and keep you.” You melted right and so did I 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I enjoyed this quick little read. My first read by this author and it won't be my last. Great characters, I loved Siah*s mother, she had the sauce. The story is well written, and has a steady flow.
Great read. Siah and Knox had a night together in Paris. A steamy romantic night! Then Siah started running away and Knox was chasing! Siah had a sort of boring life until Knox came along. Eventually Siah let Knox sweep her away. Love won after all!!! This book was recommended by UniqueWords LLC
