So glad to be able to visit two of my favorite Friessens again. I love Andy and Laura. No matter how safe they feel being away from Andy’s family, something crops up and there is something they have to deal with again. It’s also nice to be able to catch up with the Friessen cousins as well. It’s a quick read, but it’s chock full of story!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved Andy and Laura and how much Andy was willing to give up for her. This book had several surprises and i can't wait for the next book in the Friessen's series.
I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook, especially because if you have read and/or listened to previous stories about Andy Friessen, Laura and their family, you get a chance to see how both have grown as individuals and as a family. This time the shocker is not only the death of Andy’s evil mother Caroline, but that she left everything to Andy and the stipulations of the will. Will Andy abide to it and split his family or has he truly come to realize that Laura and his children are what matters in life? The listener gets a chance to visit with some characters introduced in other stories and if like me you have not read their stories, you are ready to dig into those as well. This is another thoughtful, thought provoking, and touching story by this talented author. With an engaging plot and complex characters that are true to life. Lastly, the narrator did a great job with the various voices.
Once again another stellar book by Lorhainne Eckhart. I truly cannot get enough of these books an the Friessen family. I devoured this book in one sitting because it help me prisoner from the very beginning. Brilliantly written, with some surprises that had me wondering what Andy would do, and I was hooked from the very first word. Andy has become my favourite and him and Laura and their beautiful family are a treasure to read about. Lorhainne Eckhart I say this with every book I read but Thank You for a brilliant family and series that I long to read much more about. A wonderfully story not to be missed. Highly recommend these books.
I received an ebook copy and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Just as Andy is beginning to feel secure in his unending love for his wife, Laura, his children, and the Montana ranch he’s built all on his own, his past comes crashing back, bringing with it the fear he thought he’d banished of losing all he holds dear. There are some family secrets revealed and hard truths told in this emotionally wrought tale. It’s a fast-paced read filled with a few surprising twists and turns that are sure to capture your attention and keep you thoroughly involved from start to finish. You’ll find this one hard to put down as the drama from the effects of dealing with an unexpected death surrounds Andy’s family. This story holds both excitement and dread within its pages, and it’s one you won’t want to miss.
Laura and Andy now have another child which makes four and they love each and their children so much. Now they are away from his destructive family, Laura is thriving. Andy is in absolute awe as to how beautiful she is. Then comes a phone call out of the blue. His father telling him that his witch of a mother has died and what a can of worms this opens up. This author can do no wrong with these wonderful stories.
The Bloodline (The Friessens #2) was a good read by Lorhainne Eckhart. There are two guarantees in Andy Friessen’s life; his wife and children are safe from the control of his family, and a safety deposit box holds evidence that could ruin his mother. One night tragedy strike and the rug is pulled from under him. The secrets and lies could destroy what he has built for his family. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.
Not my cup of tea, but competently written and probably a satisfying chapter in the author’s multi-generational saga.
Heavy on the family drama and the romance, he-men and starry-eyed wives, manipulative, diabolical parents, unimaginable wealth and privilege cast aside.
Andy can tell you in this book. Filled with strong characters, family ties, emotional struggles and loving support. This is a warm story that gives you hope in what's right.
I haven't read this series in order, but find that it doesn't matter. Each book can be enjoyed as a stand alone read.
While I didn't like this one as much as I liked The Decision, I still feel that Eckhart did an amazing job at developing characters and situations that felt realistic. It was also good enough that I sat down and read it in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down.
I enjoyed Laura's character. It was nice to watch the character grow as the story progressed. By the end of the story, she's a much stronger, capable woman than the one in the beginning.
Andy is also a good character. Many woman will enjoy his primal side. I know I sure did. But, they will also love his man buried underneath. Andy is much more than a man who feels the need to mark his wife as his own through sexual encounters. He's also loving, caring, and very protective.
I also loved seeing the characters Neil and Brad in this one. I recently read The Decision and it was nice to go back and read another story that featured the brothers.
All and all, this was a great read and one that I would recommend.
I read the reunion which is book one in the series a week or two ago and when I started this book was a little lost. so I went back and looked at my review for book one which stated this was a spin-off series where the author was trying to build on her past series instead of starting new. so throughout these books you're constantly being referenced to the other series for events that have happened. which is fine except for I wish things weren't titled books 1 through whatever to me they should the numbers after the other books in the other series. however about halfway through you're able to understand where the story is going in the past doesn't matter as much so you're able to still build the storyline in your head. I have to say if it wasn't for the narrator I probably would not have stuck with this book. the narrator is so animated and really brings the story to life which it desperately needed. the book has a great plot line once you're able to get on it it's worth it. I do wish to find out more about these characters just wish I had known this wasn't a stand-alone series.
Having read several books in this series, I really appreciated just how much Andy has grown since we first met him. In earlier books, Andy was the spoiled rich boy that really only cared about himself. And now we see him fully committed to his family, Laura and their children. So much so that he is able to put an end to his mother's crazy demands. Even in death, Caroline is still trying to control Andy and keep him from Laura. This book revealed a lot of dark family secrets and left plenty of room for more in the series, which I am looking forward to reading!

I love the Friessen men! I have read and enjoyed all of this series and 'The Bloodline' didn't disappoint.
After leaving his twisted family behind and starting a new life with Laura and their children, Andy is called home where he still finds himself trying to protect Laura from his controlling mother.
I don't want to give anything away. It was great to see where they are a few years after. How Laura has grown and how their relationship has evolved.
Andy is a devoted family man and a great husband that has moved his wife and kids away from his family to protect them. When his mother dies, he must return to his family to settle her will. A lot of family secrets are revealed and Andy learns that things are not always what they seem. He is challenged with having to deal with all of the curveballs that are thrown his way, while still keeping his wife and kids safe. Bloodline is full of unexpected twists. I look forward to the next book in The Friessens series.
I Love This book, he found his riches, with his family and his wife. But, will his Mom last wish, turn his back on them.? If you rich, and have all the stuff in the world, BuT Not LOVE, will you really be rich. I love the story of Andy and Lauren. I hope in their next book, he gets it back and set up his family and he gives the rest to charities. That really would make his mother, turn over in her grave, big time knowing he has his family and the money. Plus, he gives some away.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. The Friessen family is back and they never disappoint. Andy and Laura are one of my favorite couples in the Friessen family. It is amazing to see how their relationship has grown and how it has developed into something so strong in this third book featuring them. If you haven't read the Outsiders Series, get it. You will not be disappointed.
I love this series! The men are definitely alpha males but the women can be quite strong too. Can't believe how twisted some of these characters are to their own children! Not my style of parenting but I don't have as much money as they do either. LOL!! Reading this series goes really fast because you can't wait to find out what happens next and I can't wait to read the next one in the series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I love this series and can't wait for the next one to come out. I was surprised the turn the book took when Andy's mother died and what the will revealed. He has turned into the same kind of man his cousins are, despite his parents. I will be hoping the next book comes out soon. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This story really touched the soft part of my heart. Loved the characters, each with a different personality and a need to be loved. Loved the suspense, not knowing where the next twist or turn would land!
Love Andy and Laura's story. At times Lorhainne has the reader doubting if Andy will do the right thing but in the end he makes the right choice. Looking forward to Book 3 The Promise. Great read.
I got this book in exchange for an honest review. It took me a few chapters to get into the book but once I did I loved it. Loved how when you think you got something figured out it turns out you dont. I need to read the first book to probably understand it further and I can't wait to read all in this series and the others by her.
