Charismatic Sydney Moffit, a decent, fair-minded guy with a penchant for enjoying pleasures in excess, parlays the notion of “getting pleasure from the sins you commit” into a preacher’s evangelistic calling. As the average person is already buying into it, sin sells. Sinner Sid takes a pragmatic approach in urging his followers to be selective in their weakness, and to consider the consequences before acting.
Throughout the novelette, “Sinner Sid,” author Jack Kregas aligns the reader with Sid, who espouses sound principles which just may further his political ambitions. Honest and up-front, Sid would get my vote.
A worthwhile read that exposes societal hypocrisy and double standards.
