Killing monsters. Quaffing potions. Completing quests. And solving mysteries.
Azure and the gang discover the Keeper's identity and begin their ultimate quest of collecting all the Stones of Blessing. There will be more than a few hiccups along the way, though, literal ones.
A drinking quest has Azure and the gang testing their mettle against a bunch of ale swilling dwarves. Who has the highest alcohol tolerance? Find out in this exciting installment of the best-selling LitRPG series, The Realm Between.
Phoenix Grey is the super secret nerd pen name of a USA Today bestselling author. She currently lives in a secluded podunk town outside of San Antonio, Texas where she can hermit away while working on books and playing video games. When she's not busy plotting her world domination, she can be found hosting game nights at the local comic book store or checking out the latest recommended anime.
She loves hearing from and interacting with fans, so feel free to stalk her in the following ways:
I'm glad that the quests for the Land Stone, while still challenging, didn't take up whole books worth of real estate, because I think that would have muddied up the urgency that Jin and Azure felt due to the deadline looming over them. The three tasks which our party had to complete, for the god, definitely felt like side quests, but (once again) that deadline changed them from things you get around to when you get to that area, to immediate priorities that the party invested huge amounts of time to, for very little incremental reward, but a sizeable finish reward.
I have to be honest and say that I don't know where the whole moral dilemma that Azure wrestles with is necessarily coming from. No, things aren't so cut and dry here, but Azure doesn't properly remember Earth anyway and the game mechanics are very clear on who/what is an enemy and who/what isn't. This hand-wringing would have been appropriate while he was in Crescent Island, or maybe, when he first came to the mainland, but Azure took out an entire gang, nearly singlehandedly, out of a desire for revenge and vigilante justice; and was cursed with darkness, to boot. Perhaps he regrets going so far to the Dark Side, but he never once even thought of his actions during that time in this story. It just seems that Azure is acting in very contradictory ways that I hope will resolve, or at least make sense, as they continue on.
Why why why WHY DOESN'T HE THINK OF MAKING STAMINA POTIONS. Or mana potions. He complains about lack of stamina and cost of stamina potions all the time, yet he KNOWS that healing potions are incredibly cost effective. He eats blue mushrooms to regain mana but complains about the taste and yet he hasn't shown ANY INTEREST in trying to fix that even though he can already make health potions. THIS DRIVES ME INSANE
This one was back to what I liked about the books. There was still tension and lots of strife but it was also hopeful, if bittersweet. Some good reveals as well. Obviously lots more story ahead which will take a whole lot more books I would think but some decent resolution for the beginning story. I would like to see more spells and rpg type advancement going forward - feels like that has gotten pushed to the side a bit. With 4 different characters, tons of different magic styles with multiple levels and lots of loot it feels like there is room for some new spells or class abilities
4.6 stars This series is addictive and keeps one on one’s toes as the reader feels a part of the interactive game. There is so much going on as Azure and the rest of the group continue their quest but it is not an easy path. There are obstacles that must be overcome yet there is the never-ending feeling that with everything that is transpiring, there is hope. This is one absorbing storyline that will keep any reader entertained as the characters surge onward. I look forward to reading the next book. This was one off my favorite books in the series. We learned important information and saw significant progress in the storyline and quests. The author definitely worked to add more lighthearted moments to relieve the tension while still leaving plenty if action and conflict. The MC continues to struggle with moral dilemmas, but thankfully isn't completely self-absorbed in them.

My library had the entire series available in audiobook form. I'm glad I didn't have to buy the books, because from book 1, the main character was so dumb. Especially for someone who was supposedly an avid gamer, he makes a lot of very stupid mistakes.
By book 7, he hasn't gotten any smarter, and has effectively become a side character due to events that took place in book 6.
I could go into more details about each book, and I might later. But for now, I don't want to give too many spoilers in case someone actually wants to read/listen to this series.
This is not a series I would recommend, unless you can do so for free. Definitely do not waste your money on this boring, infuriating series.
Book 7 of the Realm Between. This adventure deepens our understanding and we finally are moving forward toward the end. Secrets are revealed and new friends are made. This series is fun but definitely mature audiences are advised. Both course language and adult themes are prevalent through the book and series. That said, there is plenty of danger and puzzles to figure out as the quest continues. Excited for the next book in the series.
Time and again, the author disappoints with plot changes that don't flow. The results are discontinuities that are frustrating. That said, I've read all but the last book because I wanted to see how it all ends. I like what other readers have said in that the rewards and wounds are more realistic.
If you've been following along with Will's adventures this book definitely gets the ball rolling much faster. Realizations about himself and his compatriots bring in excellent character development.
This book did not seem to be written by the same author as previous books. The Characters were unrecognizable. I could not finish. Such a shame as i loved the first couple of books so much!!!
Another great addition to the series The book is an easy read with characters that you want to know more about. Read the series. You will not regret it.
Truly a terrible series, no likeable characters. Forced myself trough a few books in the series. A terrible writer. Will never suffer through his trash again
