This was SO GOOD. I will say, when it started, you're kind of just dropped in the story and I really only became truly invested in the story and actual plot near the end. For most of the book, I was just reading along and enjoyed the attraction Mina had for Malachi and then Wolf. But once some bigger secrets came into play and we had that twist in the end, I'm DYING for the next book. I really think this was just an intro to the story and I'm already hooked. This was hot and fast and I loved it!

There seems to be something missing and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Like we moved from point A to point B but I have no idea how we got there.
Please don’t tell me she tastes so good because she’s part fairy. I mean are we going into True Blood territory now?
If nothing else this story was steamy as can be, what I’ve come to expect from Katee Robert. But the ending made up for a lot, it added enough interesting nuance to look forward to what this band of misfits will do next.

“Do you want to read a book with almost zero plot, with a lot of smut on the taboo side (daddy kink), but is still well written? Then this is the book for you - enjoy!”
Only, replace ‘daddy kink’ with ‘vampire reverse harem’. Still a fun read ;) I’m grabbing the next book in this series.

I love being a Patron of Katee Robert.
Mostly because I get to have access to her awesome novels ahead of everyone else. Yesterday was one of those days. I got a copy of "Sacrifice" her new Vampire Reverse Harem novel!!! Also, its fantasy and I love me some magic!!
I don't even like Reverse Harems... but I have opened up to Menages in the last few years and this is just an expanding of that... right? Especially when the characters are 3 sexy vampire men and a half vampire/half something girl.
As always with Katee Robert books, sexuality is very free (Banging is the plot) and not questioned at all and it makes for a book that just goes for what it wants. And that is what we have here.
But wait! There's more!
Mina is given to the vampire Malachi by her horrible father. A father who is such a dick that he actually cripples her so she can't run away from her fate. Malachi is trapped in a manor and has been without blood for a very long time. Mina is to give herself to him in ALL ways and provide her father with a child belonging to Malachi.
That sounds terrifying. Good thing Malachi is super hot and oh by the way, his bite will cause you to orgasm instantly. So it makes it hard to stay hating him when he is pleasuring her silly and looking after her in the ways that he can.
Then we meet Wolf, who is a friend and sometimes lover of Malachi who would like nothing more than to kill Mina for the danger she poses to Malachi. (There is a certain danger, but I'm not going to tell you. Secrets. Geez!)
And finally we meet Rylan, who is older than everyone and thinks there is something special about Mina that he wants to discover.
All these crazy kids are in this manor together and things are gonna get crazy, and VERY sexy.
Okay, that was a ramble. Final thoughts.

This book has a reverse harem, swords cross for sure.
It will fly by way too quickly and you will be left salivating for more.

Three vampires. One virgin sacrifice.
Ensue, lots and lots of orgasms, pleasure bites and blood play.
With three powerful elemental vampires and a dhampir heroine who is gutsy, brazen, and has hidden abilities even she has no idea about, this reverse harem was quite entertaining and hella steamy. 🔥🔥🔥
The entirety of this novella was set in a gothic mansion where heroine Mina was left as a sacrifice (of sorts) by her father, for a bloodline vampire, named Malachi, who is housebound under magic.
More porn than plot, Mina quickly gets to know Malachi in the biblical sense, as they grow trust and attraction, while trying to work out how to get out from under the thumb of Mina’s tyrant father.
Along the way, two more bloodline vampires show up, sassy Wolf and later broody Rylan, both old friends and sometimes lovers of Malachi (yay surprise M/M!). And, before long, the four are engaging in all sorts of bedroom shenanigans, not only for pleasure but also in an attempt to sex-magic their way out of Malachi and Mina’s trapped situation.
I’ve never read a story by Katee Robert before but this was a fun and saucy introduction to her world of romance. This wasn’t overly comprehensive or character driven, but I will definitely be back for book two, simply for the fun of it, to see what happens next for this newly bonded quartet of vampy characters.

Soooooo I didn't read the blurb so when Malachi and Wolf got caught crossing the swords on page I might've...
Then Rylan shows up and I was knocked off balance again because I wasn't expecting reverse harem. These are the perks of being a blurb avoider.
Quick sidebar: I genuinely appreciate when author's bring it. Perhaps I'm jaded but my opinion is if you've been alive since forever OF COURSE you've tried everything sexually if for no other reason than boredom! So when I read these romances and the vampire is 100%, certified heterosexual without ever having dabbled?
So kudos to this author for not going down that road since it's even less believable in a reverse harem sitch. For me.
Anyhoozle, I've read my share of vampire romance and the elemental tie in isn't a new one but the additional powers are to me (at least I think they are) and I'm hoping all of them get explored and expounded upon a bit more as the series unfolds.
The spice factor is middle of the road. A little teensy bit of orgasm denial and the requisite blood play, because vampires. Virgin deflowering complete with DP though not right out of the gate. They are all hot for each other but for me my brain has to be involved somehow to really get into it and that's typically achieved through character development. However, I'm willing to stick around for the next installment to see if that changes; if it doesn't I'll probably check out before the finale and just assume they all boom boom each other's brains out happily ever after.

Reread was just as good. Gah I’m a sucker. She’s treated well, except for a couple of death threats lol. There’s an abusive parent although he’s never on page. I can’t wait to continue the story with these four.

The main character in Sacrifice is a 25 year-old dhampir (half human/half vampire) named Mina. Her father, who by the way is also a huge asshole, is sending her to a vampire named Malachi Zion to be a well… sacrifice, which means to be food or a baby oven or both.
Even though she and Malachi had a somewhat bumpy first encounter (to say the least), Mina soon realizes Malachi isn’t as bad as he first seems. And things quickly heat up between the two of them. And that is all before two other hot vamps show up. Then things really get going!
After finishing Sacrifice I’m asking myself what can’t Katee Robert write? I’m convinced she can pull off anything. Even writing about vampires! It wasn’t a big surprise to me that I would enjoy this latest new book of hers. I love vampires and I love her writing. The perfect combo for me. The reverse harem is just bonus points for this story and Katee.

Forget Interview With the Vampire, it’s time for Foursome With Some Vampires.
The sexual content is definitely at the forefront of this novella. I do wish that the characters and the plot were introduced a bit more before the reader is literally thrown into the action. Like, it takes 20 pages and three orgasms before the main character’s name is revealed. To me, smutty scenes are way more compelling if I know or care about the characters taking part in them.
Near the end of the novella, once more information about the characters was revealed and the plot started to pick up, things definitely got fascinating. Also, when the sex scenes were more intertwined with the plot they became really interesting. The different bloodlines of vampires and the building plot in this world seem like they’ll make for a fun series. I can definitely see myself continuing on whenever more books come out.

I wasn't sure what to expect with SACRIFICE and this was a bit bananas but also really enjoyable! Please check the content warnings, especially for dubious consent which might not be to every reader's taste. The story is told completely from Mina's POV and it's really more a “Happy For Now” romance because this story is not over. While it ends with a soft cliffhanger, the characters have accomplished their goal and set their next steps so there's no huge event left hanging. I really liked Mina's spirit and her refusal to give up even under terrible circumstances. As a half-vampire, half-human she's been treated like a slave by her own father and she knows very little about the human world which her colony has isolated itself from.
Mina's experience with each of the love interests is very different and it was quite the rollercoaster to see things develop first with just Mina and Malachi and then add in Wolf and eventually Rylan toward the end. Malchai was probably my favorite of the heroes because he genuinely seems to care for Mina. Wolf is more of a feral and chaotic vampire but it's obvious he's intrigued by Mina. While I found the threesome scenes with Mina, Malachi and Wolf to be off the charts steamy, I actually found the one scene with all four to be a bit lacking. This is partly because there's a particular goal in mind for that scene and it's more about unleashing Mina's power rather than enjoyment (though they all certainly enjoy it). Rylan's involvement was also more out of necessity than interest. He doesn't trust Mina and sees her more as a tool to help Malachi escape the blood ward but I'm assuming we'll start to see more of an emotional development in the next book.
This book won't be for every one but if you like sexy vampires, a bit of taboo, and polyamorous relationships then you might like this one.

So I read the blurb for this novella, which is definitely way outside the sandbox I usually play in, and I thought, “Hmmm, do I? Or don’t I?” I’m so glad I did!
Oh so dark, erotic, bloody, intense, twisted AF and super smokin hot. I loved it. 😈

I was honestly so convinced that the plot for this book had been copied/stolen.
An hour ago when I started it, I couldn’t remember the name of the other book that it reminded me of, but I knew that the plot was near identical.
Well I remembered 🥲
It reminds me of ‘Court of the vampire queen’ written by Katee Robert (the author of this series). ‘Court of the vampire queen’ literally combines the 3 books in this trilogy. So the plots aren’t similar, they are the same. I have just been re-reading a book I have already read. 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣 I am an idiot !!!!

Leave it to Katee Robert to take a vampire romance, add an interesting backstory between the heroes (yes, plural), throw in a reverse harem, and totally make it all work. In other words–as you can tell–Sacrifice was one smoking hot, complex story!
Sacrifice might not be every reader’s cup of tea. And I start off saying that because you have to be ready for the erotic heat level in Robert’s writing as well as the fact that this has somewhat dubious consent to the love scenes. Leave it to Katee Robert to take a vampire romance, add an interesting backstory between the heroes (yes, plural), throw in a reverse harem, and totally make it all work. In other words–as you can tell–Sacrifice was one smoking hot, complex story!
Sacrifice might not be every reader’s cup of tea. And I start off saying that because you have to be ready for the erotic heat level in Robert’s writing as well as the fact that this has somewhat dubious consent to the love scenes. So I started this like a year ago and then came back to it and I’m glad that I did!!! Mina is half-vampire and half-human and her terrible father has sold her to slavery basically as a Dhampir, or really a blood bag for full-fledged vampires. Only Malachi doesn’t only want her to feed him. He wants it all.
And just when Mina is preparing herself to give in to Malachi, along comes his friend Wolf who thinks that Malachi should share his new toy, and to Mina’s horror, Malachi agrees. So honestly…super spicy but not all smut. There IS a plot line in there and it’s keeping me interested! Even more so when Rylan stepped into the mix!
Turns out, Mina isn’t human/vampire, she’s so much more and these three are obsessed with the taste of her blood. And her theirs, it’s all a big harem of blood and debauchery! Can’t wait to read the second one and see how Rylan worms his way into my affections…I mean…Mina’s affections. Yeah. Mina.
