Friendly, indeed! This book tells about stars, constellation by constellation. There is a large fold-out star map glued in the back.

The most charming and accessible astronomy book I’ve read yet. This revised edition is from the 1960’s, but still accurate enough 60 years later. Except for poor demoted Pluto.

Though the information in the book is likely slightly irrelevent now the book made me want to go befriend the stars and watchtower every night.
