Very good summary and outline of book, but not a replacement.

If you have read or listened to the book, you know there is a LOT of information contained in it. This summary is good quick read which can be used to help refresh the information or perhaps hit on something you missed. Would recommend reading it once a week for a month and then once a month for 6-9 months to help the information sink in.
This is one of the better summaries I’ve read and will be very useful in helping to cement the knowledge gleaned from the book.

I read the actual book and then read the summary some months later. The summary is okay, and highlights some extremely helpful tips from the book. However, because this is just a summary it misses plenty of crucial points made from the full length book. I highly recommend anyone interested in Never Split The Difference, read the full book to gain as much knowledge as possible in terms of negotiations.

Excellent strategies for negotiation and shifting your perspectives to meet your goals. One of my favorite takeaways: Ask “how” and “what” rather “why” questions to diffuse tension and engage mental capacity of whoever you are working with.
