I purchased a copy while at the Hilton hotel in the Los Angeles area near Wilmington, CA, to visit HCC. My friend, Tari, noticed it in a gift shop while searching for toothpaste that I had forgotten to bring on the trip (Sensodyne costs $14, but you can find it at Dollar Tree for $1.25 plus tax). I got a copy for my mother and me, which I am so thankful for my friend finding. We both purchased "Strength for the Day for Women" on Oct. 6, 2024 (which is also my cat's birthday to become 16 years in human life span).

I love this read. I read from the date of purchase until December 31st. Now, I am doing the daily read from January 1,2025, until the end of December 31st.

I have a print copy or paperback version, not an eBook or Kindle, which is the only copy I could select here.

Water for my mustard seed

The encouragement of the prayers and reminders that God is always with me have been more than balm for a very weary soul.

I’ve finished reading this book, however now I will read it the way it’s meant to be used. A Devotional for every day of the year. It’s encouraging and it reminds us of how to be able to appreciate all the things we do as a mother and how not to beat ourselves up whenever we get overwhelmed, frustrated, tired, or things are not exactly the way we wanted them to be. We need to learn to give ourselves grace for the unintended mistakes that we make. We are humans and the Lord knows that and gives us the tools to deal with them. AMEN🙏

I’ve had this book for years. When I tell you there hasn’t been a time I’ve read a prayer and wasn’t encouraged. I don’t mean I immediately felt happy because that’s not how depression works but I always feel more at peace. I mediate on His words and it helps slow down my anxiety. This book was beautiful written, if you’re looking to be encouraged and reminded of God’s love during your darkest times..this is the book for you!

This book has been a life saver for me as I have been reading it for the last year and a half. I have probably read it at least twice. It has been so uplifting for me that I have given lots of these devotional books as gifts. I think it can benefit anyone, not just those battling anxiety and depression. Very, very highly recommended!

2002 nightly reading

I read this as my nightly routine before bed. It was a great read, and I recommend it to everyone to put you in the right frame of mind. It would be good even for people without anxiety/ depression issues.

A very upbeat book!

Just an amazing book with great prayers for anyone dealing with anxiety and depression. I love the fact that the book emphasizes getting help from doctors and medication, God made them, why not use them?

I have a tendency to find daily prayer books overly-saccharine. This was refreshingly NOT that. Highly recommend for anyone experiencing depression and anxiety who longs for prayers that bring honesty AND comfort.
