Great overview of strategic marketing theories, however most of the chapters felt a bit light on and I would have liked if the author spent a bit more time diving deeper into these theories and their applications.
It's a book to pick up and explore the different aspects of marketing, not necessarily a book I'll be quoting or referencing. Another thought, it would have been nice if he provided more academic references.
In saying all of this, it's a robust book that summaries the different aspects of marketing in a creative way.
This book is a joy to read!. Dan, the author, simplifies complex marketing principles and provides plenty of examples that makes it very easy to understand. Not to mention that the illustrations and format are lovely. I will definitive keep it on my office desk as my new go-to- marketing book and will be buying more as gifts. I highly recommend it to any experienced or amateur marketeer.
A very simple and smart approach on the basic frameworks and marketing concepts. Not for the advanced or expert but I could say as truly useful for the beginners or those curious about Marketing as a management craft.
I wrote/illustrated the book so this review is exceptionally biased. I do believe, however, that it is a good book. I have spent decades trying to find the simplest, clearest and easiest ways to explain key marketing concepts to both newcomers to marketing and seasoned professionals, and this book is the culmination of all my efforts. I hope you find it useful.
