Sweet, steamy, and delightful. It's really just that simple.

Rose has had a crush on Evan for more than a decade. Evan is her BFF's big brother and a musician with a reputation. The chemistry they have as adults is great but can it be enough? Oh, it's so fun finding out. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Aww this was so sweet that I had a huge smile on my face, especially at the end. It’s an instant connection between Rose and Evan and I could feel the tension and chemistry coming off the pages. I love that we get a couple steamy scenes too!

Rose Haviland is a talented wedding planner and preparing for her best friend’s wedding the next day. She hears her name called and Courtney Simmons is running to her in a panic. The car they sent to pick up her brother, Evan, at the airport never arrived. Rose was a little nervous about seeing the handsome lead singer of an up-and-coming indie band. She had always had a crush on him in school, along with all other females who laid eyes on him! She hasn’t seen him since high school graduation. But he’s always on tour and has a ton of groupies everywhere he goes. He would never look twice at her.

As Rose went over the details again, a sexy voice spoke her name. The tall, handsome, muscled man was even better-looking than in his high school days. She was almost speechless, but told him she needed details on his setup for the song he would be singing for his sister. But he told her it would just be him and his guitar. It was that way in the high school’s talent contest when his soulful voice made her fall hard for him. And when Evan swam in the pool after his workout later, then rested on the lounge, all he could think of was short, plump, and sweet-as-honey Rose.

After the rehearsal dinner, Rose sat down in the hallway and rubbed her aching foot. Evan sat beside her and asked if he could do that for her. She was flustered and got up to leave, but he took her hand and moved them into an alcove to apologize. He told her there was something about her and he could not stop thinking of her. She admitted it was the same for her and wished he would kiss her – which he promptly did! A slamming door broke the spell and she pushed him away and rushed off. But that kiss let him know for certain that Rose was “the One” for him. Could he convince her of that?

At the reception, the bride and groom are ready for the first dance. Evan sat quietly with his guitar, having requested the spotlight be on Courtney and Leon, not him. And he sang a beautiful song. When he saw Rose standing a few feet away, staring at him and not the happy couple, he sang the rest of the song to her, a song full of longing and wishes for eternal love with that one person you can’t imagine living without. When it ended, he took her in his arms and kissed her. He asked her to come to his room when she finished what needed to be done. Knowing this would be the only time with him, she joined him and spent the night in his arms. Then she said goodbye and went to catch her plane home. Was this truly the end? Could she walk away from him? Or didn’t she realize he was in love with her and wanted forever?

This was such a good story with wonderful, loving characters. I felt bad for Rose who was trying to be respectful of what she thought were her best friend’s wishes. And she wouldn’t let herself believe that Evan meant forever and not just a one-time experience. Would she give him a chance to tell her? Would they find the HEA that was so close? Grab your copy and see if they can figure out what they want and how to make it possible.

*Spoilers*

First I have to say that Kate did a great job on this story. It is a short love story that is perfect for a read before going to sleep. It is a HEA of course. No drama at all. An Indie Rockstar meets back up with his sisters BFF. Never noticed her in High School but now years later at his sister's wedding, he notices her right away. She is a wedding planner and maid of honor. Needless to say, its a destination wedding, and things heat up fast. Evan's sister always made him out to be something he was not as a rockstar (groupie loving, probable kids in various places) so Rose believed this about him, and after their one night she always dreamed of she pushed him away. When Evans's sister gets back from her honeymoon and meets up with Rose she finds out about Evan and Rose and decides to tell Rose she was just joking about that stuff about Evan. He was nothing at all like that. So Rose ignoring Evan for 2 weeks made a decision to contact him and meet up with him at a concert he was playing at a local club. Evan was about to give up even though he loved Rose. Rose and Evan enjoy the concert. Evan wrote her a song and sang it for her at the end. They end up together and after 3 months they get engaged. It's a very sweet and loving story.

Getting lei'd in Hawaii

EVAN is the eleventh book in the Big Hot Alphas series by Kate Hunt. This is the story of Rose Haviland and Evan Simmons.
Rose is a wedding planner who is preparing her best friend Courtney's Hawaiian destination wedding. Evan is Courtney's older brother who is the lead singer and talented musician for a band that is hitting it big. Rose has had a crush on Evan for years but he was always in the "don't touch" area because of Courtney. Plus it did not help that Courtney had repeatedly told Rose about all of Evan's groupies, that there were most likely a bunch of little Evan's running around out there that he did not know about and what a player Evan was.
When Evan flies for the wedding he recognizes the now much more grown up Rose and she is a knockout that he wants to get to know better. But she says no to everything, even after a toe curling kiss. Evan is determined to show Rose that she is his woman and he is serious about her. Will Evan be able to get Rose to take him and his love for her seriously? Or will she continue to believe the things Courtney said about him? Plus what will Courtney say if she finds out about Evan and Rose?

I enjoyed this fast-paced, fun and flirty little sexy story. The story-line was interesting and the characters were likeable.

Evan is the 11th installment in Kate Hunt’s Big Hot Alphas series. In it she chronicles the romantic journey of Rose, a wedding planner, and Ethan, the lead singer of an upcoming indie band. These two lead characters are brought together since Rose is the wedding planner for Courtney and Leon. Courtney is Ethan’s sister. There is an attraction between Rose and Evan, however, Rose is under the misconception that to pursue her desire she is violating the “sister code.” The sister code implies that the brother is off limits. Also Courtney over the years has painted Evan as a player. Courtney’s wedding is a destination one in Hawaii. She and Evan make love in this beautiful tropical environment. Now back at home, Rose tries to keep her distance. Nevertheless, Evan pursues her. Will he be successful? Does Courtney clear up the misconceptions about her brother? To find out you must read this book.

Ms. Hunt, once again, masterfully uses literary devices such as characterization, dual POV, dialog, and descriptive language to weave her romantic tales. I enjoy that she creates the female lead as a BBW. The plot is the basic boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, ad and HEA ending. Her lead characters are multi-dimensional and strong, yet at times vulnerable. Her skill with painting vivid scenes that garner her readers’ attention.

A million love songs wrapped into one
This book is about Rose and Evan. They’ve known each other since she was 13 years old. Rose and Eva’s younger sister Courtney, are best friends. Courtney is getting married to Leon, and Rose is both maid of honour and wedding planner. She’s done a beautiful job!
Rose has always had a crush on Evan, but he didn’t know. Now that she is all grown up now though, Evan really notices she’s become a beautiful woman. When he sees her for the first time in years and notices her curves, he’s hit with an unfamiliar gut-punch of lust. There’s something magnetic about her.
The wedding goes off without a hitch but Evan invites Rose up to his room that night. She agrees to meet him up there, and they have a very passionate night together. However, a misunderstanding occurs and she flees in the morning. Both of them are hurting and it takes a third person to help put things back on track for them.
I don’t want to spoil it for the readers, but I will say it’s both a sweet and steamy read. The idea of that song ‘One Night in Hawaii’ practically gave me goosebumps! I just wish it hadn't ended so quickly! I give this book four and a half joyful stars.

I thought this novella was ok. As always with Kate Hunts books this is instalove but only from Ethan’s pow. Rose has been in love with Ethan since High School.

Rose is the best friend, Maid of honor and wedding planner of the bride Courtney and they have known each other throughout their whole life. Ethan is Courtney’s older brother and the frontman of an up and coming band.
Rose have been in love with Ethan since High School but they haven’t seen each other since then.
Now he is coming to the weeding weekend and as soon as he sees Rose he sets his eyes on her and they end up having a hot and steamy night together. But can a rockstar stay faithful with all these girls hunting them and what will Courtney say to Rose and Ethan dating?

For one Rose needs to get out of her head and enjoy her time with Ethan and second why is Ethan suddenly in love with Rose from the second he sees her again (she is the same as she has always been)?

Even though I actually think the story was quite cute and the steamy scene was very steamy and the characters were cute and funny:)!

I can recommend this book.

I'd thought from the title this would be a different kind of story. This is my first time reading this author.

***There may be spoilers ahead***

The wedding planner is working for her bestie. Her bestie's brother arrives the day of the rehearsal and is set to play the first dance song. She'd had a crush on him forever. He wanted to get to know her better. Much better. They hooked up and she determined it was a one-off. Lots of reasons, but her decision.
He didn't see it that way and once the wedding was over they both pined for each other. Until the wedding planner finally answered his last text. After she talked with her bestie, who set the record straight. So I'm left wondering if there was an Alpha here, maybe the wedding planner. She kinda had all the control. It read flat although the pacing was good. No deep characterization. A short love story that does end without a cliffhanger and a proposal.
I'd recommend this to readers who want to squeeze in a book but won't mind bookmarking it to finish later.

Every book in Kate Hunt's Big Hot Alphas series checks all the boxes, and Evan is no exception. In fact he just might be my favourite. He is absolutely swoon-worthy, a hot alpha musician who is not your stereotypical hot alpha musician. Arriving at the hotel in Hawaii where his little sister is about to get married, he lays eyes on her best friend Rose for the first time since she was in high school - and the wind is knocked out of him. As the wedding planner / maid of honour, Rose is flitting around making sure everything is perfect for her best friend. But when she lays eyes on her teen-girl crush, she too is nearly knocked off her feet.

Evan as a character is as close to the perfect book boyfriend as you could want. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is not afraid to say what he wants - and when he gets it, he knows just what to do to keep it.

Another quick, hot and steamy novella from the predictably awesome Kate Hunt.

Rose is a wedding planner and the maid of honor for her best friend, Courtney’s wedding. Evan is Courtney’s rock star brother. Rose had a huge crush on him when they were in high school, he never even noticed her. But he’s noticing her now. Evan feels a connection to Rose and he loves her curves. They flirt a little and after much internal debate Rose agrees to join Evan in his hotel room. After a night of passion, Rose is ready to move on. Evan doesn’t understand, he tells her they like each other, their both single so why not keep seeing each other. But Rose tells him she can’t date a rock star, not knowing if he’s being faithful is to much for her. Courtney has unfortunately always mentioned Evan’s groupies and that there are probably a bunch of little Evans running around too. That scared Rose. Evan heartbroken lets her leave, I don’t know why he didn’t try to talk to her. When Rose and Courtney get together for dinner, Rose confesses her crush on Evan but says she can’t be with him. Courtney tells her she was always joking about Evan, he’s a great guy who doesn’t do groupies and has no little Evans. Feeling bad Rose goes to see Evan. They talk and she confesses her love, he forgives her and they get their happily ever after. Epilogue three months later with Evan proposing.

Wow! Best Friend's Brother and Rockstar Romance all rolled into one! Evan hasn't seen his sister's best friend in years; he's incredibly busy with his band, though he doesn't subscribe to the typical rockstar lifestyle. But when he sees Rose at his sister's wedding, he's immediately captivated and determined to make her his and his alone. Rose has had a crush on her bestie's big brother forever. But she's a wedding planner and he's a rockstar. Surely he couldn't be interested in her. Plus, that totally breaks the best friend code! But Evan knows who he wants, and Rose must finally be truthful with her bestie. Fun and sexy and surprisingly sweet, this is a delightful story with and rockstar alpha and a curvy sweetheart. Happy Reading!!

Rose is a wedding planner working on her best friend's wedding. She is handling everything till a blast from her past comes back. Evan has been her crush since grade school but he never noticed her. Now he is a rockstar of sorts and she thinks he would never be interested. Evan walks into his sister's wedding and is immediately drawn to Rose. He decides to make it known that he is interested in and pursues her in a way that is both fiery and romantic. He pursues her and doesn’t give up until she basically ghosts him. Only when she decides to take the ultimate chance and gets the ok from his sister does their HEA fall into place. I love this series and each story has such a special bond and a unique twist and this is no different.

Rose is a wedding planner and she is in Hawaii for her best friend Courtney’s wedding that she planned. There she again sees her friend’s brother, Evan, that she has had a crush on since high school. Evan is now a singer in a band and they end up hooking up the night of the wedding. However, Rose has decided this can only be a one night thing because she doesn’t want to ruin her friendship with Courtney by dating her brother and Courtney has implied that Evan is a womanizer. Will Evan be able to convince Rose that he is serious and wants a relationship with her?

I give this cute story 4.5 stars. I enjoyed this short story with two people reconnecting as adults and falling in love. The well written story shows how things never go smoothly and you hope they can find happiness.

Rose is best friend and wedding planner to Courtney and Leons wedding. Evan is an older brother of Courtney and the one guy that Rose had a crush on during and since high school. They keep running into each other at the wedding venue in Hawaii and after the reception, they really get together. She knows how band members get on the road so she does not want anything more to do with Evan. The characters are terrific, with intense emotion and feeling. The suspense of whether they will see each other again, if Courtney will allow them to see each other, or if she has missed the chance. The storyline is great and the twists are great little quirks to the story. This story will end with a big smile on your face.

Rose is a wedding planner and best friend to the bride. Evan is the brother to the bride. Rose has not seen Evan since high school. Rose had a crush on Evan back then. He is in a band and then paths don’t cross very often. Evan sees her again and wonders why he has not noticed her before - she is beautiful, funny, intelligent, energetic and he wants her forever. Rose has heard of his escapades from his sister and wants nothing to do with him. Can they come together? Will their attraction and smoking hot chemistry be enough? Evan wants it to work forever - he just needs to figure out how to make Rose see that. Lovable characters, steamy chemistry and is there love? It is a quick little read which I really enjoyed.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Evan is the eleventh book in the ‘’big hot alphas’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline entertaining. Rose is a wedding planner that is working her best friends wedding. When she reconnects with her crush, her best friends brother, sparks fly. Evan hasn’t seen Rose in years. When he finally does, he wants her.
The chemistry between Evan and Rose is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Fast paced short Insta- love story with instant chemistry and hot sizzling passion between Rose and Evan. Rose is planning the wedding of her bestfriend since childhood Courtney, Evan is Courtney's successful older musician brother. They meet again as adults in Hawaii at the wedding and Rose decides since she has always had a crush on him to have a once off night with him, Evan however saw her and was instantly smitten and wanted forever now if he could only convince her to take a chance on them. It was a quick fun read and while very short the author still manages to convey the passion, feelings and emotion. Loved the book.

“A sweet and lovely sister’s best friend romance and I would say second chance though it wasn’t exactly like that. Rose and Evan had exactly had history before but she had a crush on him for decades but after hearing from her BFF how a player her brother is left Rose with a bad impression of him but that’s the point of appearances right? You need to know the real person and I was really happy when Rose opened her eyes and went for their love. It was a super serrate story and Evan was just pure perfection. Having a dual POV was delightful because being inside both of Rose and Evan gave us more understanding of their feelings and emotions. I highly recommend you this story and hope you loe this short story as much as I did.”

Rose has had a crush on her best friends brother, Evan since she was 13. She is now the wedding planner for her best friend and Rose comes face to face with Evan and he takes her breath away. He is equally intoxicated with her. The tricky part is getting her to give him a chance. Rose is worried that her best friend is going to be upset about it, so she puts on the brakes. Can these two get past the misunderstandings and doubts and just listen to their hearts? I loved the chemistry and sweetness of these two! Thought the ending was great! Another great book that makes you feel happy!

Rockstar and Sister’s Best Friend! This is about Evan and Rose. The story starts off in Hawaii as Courtney is getting married and Rose is her best friend, wedding planner and maid of honor. Well Evan arrives to the party and takes a look at Rose and that is all they wrote! She didn’t need to see him as she has always held a crush on Evan but knew that she would never betray her best friend, so she stayed away. Evan on the contrary was dying to be with Rose but found out that Rose had an image of him that his little sister created while joking. The story is short and loving.

When the Brother of the bride, Evans, shows up memories come rushing back, but if what his sister says is true he is a player. Evan is a great guy, he loves what he does and he loves his family, when he sees Rose he know she is something special.

Unable to resist the pull of the heat, Rose and Evan have an amazing night, but can they be more or will his "past" and family stand in the way. You will fall in love with the characters and their passion for what they do and each other.

One Night in Hawaii.
Such a sweet story. Evan arrives for his sister’s wedding and sees Rose. She has this way of making him feel like anything is possible. After one glorious night together, Rose tells him that they can’t be more and leaves. But, Evan refuses to give up on her. She tries to ignore him but knows she can’t do it. If she gives in to him hat will his sister have to say about them? Did I forget to mention that said sister is Rose’s best friend? Hmmm, welcome to Hawaii!

Sibling's best friend is a favorite trope of mine so I really enjoyed this story. Rose has known Evan for years, had a crush on him but knew he never "saw" her. She is his sister's best friend and wedding planner and he certainly "sees" her now! The chemistry is off of the charts, but Rose is afraid of his reputation as a musician. Evan is determined to win his girl though. Another great short, steamy read.

Rose has had a crush on her best friend's brother since high school but he hardly knew she existed until a special night in Hawaii that Rose regrets. She avoids Evan until she realizes she made a mistake about who he really was and then they spend the rest of the book making up. A super sweet, well written story by Kate Hunt. She never disappoints.
