BOOK REVIEW:

I had the delightful experience of reading “The Key” by Stormi Lewis. This is part of a trilogy which will feature her heroine Sophie Lee Harris. I have to say that not only did I read the first book in this series but did so within 24 hours. You ask why? Well, this book is filled with plot twists, mystery, thrills and excitement that it kept me completely spellbound.

Initially, we encounter Sophie on the run from a group of assassins in a wooded area. She happens prior to this to encounter a young man named James Moore in the woods and he will play a huge part in her life. We find Sophie is able to kill all the assassins without batting an eye. It’s the aftermath of this fight that will change Sophie’s life forever. Just as they both are about to escape Sophie is hit by a van.

From this point forward we learn about Sophie as she awakens at James’s families home with amnesia. Sophie is no longer alone since she is now also surrounded by Jame’s best friends Tina and Ben. They treat Sophie like family and they all reach a point that they would do anything for each other. Sophie even without her memory senses she has never had that.

Sophie also has an ability that allows her to learn through her dreams by opening various doors in the sleep state. She encounters her mother Jess and her father Jack who are able to show her bits and pieces of her life as well as how she came to be this “badass” fighting machine. They can not tell her everything but they make sure she understands the importance of her existence and that she has been trained and enhanced so that one day she can “save the world.”

She however is still being chased by various assassin teams sent by the man with the gold topped cane. He is looking for “the key” she supposedly has and he wants her brought to him alive. She has no idea where and/or what the key is and it’s importance. She only knows that many lives are at stake and as her memories slowly return that she is the only one that can stop this evil man. Now it’s time for you to read “The Key” and took me on an adventure that I did not expect.

Verdict:

Stormi Lewis had me from the moment I opened this book. I was so immersed and felt the emotional ups and downs of her main characters. If you are looking for a book that will draw you in and show you a world of mystery and thrills then this the book for you. I highly recommend this book and give this a 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It took me a few chapters to get into but when I did I enjoyed it and found it to be pretty unique to anything I've read before. I liked Sophie's character as she discovered and remembered herself and developed relationships with the people around her. This book had a little of everything! Action, romance, thriller… yes, yes, and yes! I'd recommend picking this up if you're looking for a dynamic, fast-paced, quick read.

I loved this book!! It kept me on the edge of my seat, figuratively because I listened to the audiobook version, the whole time! I’m so glad I had book two downloaded and prepped because I needed instant gratification. Sophie is a badass and even though she has amnesia she still kicks ass and takes names!

Sophie Lee Harris is one of my favorites when it comes to female leads. She is an ass-kicker in this action-packed, astounding and enthralling book.

The book takes off with Sophie on the run. She encounters James when he tries to follow her, thus intertwining their lives. Now Sophie has total amnesia due to colliding with a truck meant to kill her. Her only hope to recover her memories is the wooden door that appears every time she dreams. Her parents, helping her remember from the grave. With stakes so high and her loved ones to be protected, Sophie will confront everything that threatens her family. With engaging characters, we get to know the story from everyone's point of view. An impediment occurs when Sophie discovers a picture is James' father's study. A picture of her father, Jack. With things getting bemused and evergrowing puzzels. The Key is a mystery with a touch of romance and humor that spellbinds the readers to keep reading. The connection between Sophie and James was undeniable. The chemistry between the two was charmingly put. Sparks were flying everywhere. Sophie has an instant friendship with Tina that was endearing as Sophie had never had friends.

It was a titillating ride in the world of The Key.
I thank Stormi for providing me with this book.

Wow! This book was a delight! Thank you so much Stormi Lewis for not only giving me the book but for writing it. I want to make this a spoiler-free review so I can convince others to read it.
First off, this book was so well written. The plot had a great pace and sucked me in from the beginning. I am a sucker for a case of amnesia but not every author or Tv show can do it correctly. Lewis was able to use it in a way that made Sophie a still likable character. Sophie was a great main character, she was a strong female lead! Lewis had a great balance of mystery, romance, suspense, and more.
I am so excited for this series to continue!

The Key was a very pleasant delight to read. I had never heard of the book but the synopsis sounded interesting. The book hits the ground running where you meet Sophie and James. Sophie meets James in some woods as she’s being chased by men who want her dead. She ends up losing her memory, but James is there to take care of her while she recovers them. Sophie must work against the clock to remember things before more assassins come after her. Their boss believes she possesses a key that will help him dominate the world. The only problem, Sophie can’t remember.
I loved the way the author started the book like you were coming in in the middle of an action scene. She built up a backstory throughout as Sophie began to regain her memories. This book has instalove, but the thrill factor outweighs it. I give it 4.5/5 stars

Great book and story line! I was immediately drawn in by the characters and, as I do with a good story, I was not ready for it to end. Thank goodness there is a second (and third) in the works. You’ll find yourself rooting for the main characters and excited to see each new detail of the mystery unfold!

A couple plot twists I didn't quite see coming and I found myself rooting for the "family" in the end. The preview to the next book even has me rooting for a happy ending for someone unexpected, which I appreciate because sometimes there's more to people than meets the eye. I enjoyed the way the characters are linked together and look forward to seeing how it all comes out in the end.

I really enjoyed this book! The cover itself gives a sense of mystery and intrigue, a theme which continues throughout! The Key kicks off with an action packed beginning which leaves the main character Sophie with amnesia. The plot unravels as Sophie experiences her past through a door which appears before in her dreams. Sophie and the likeable cast of characters must piece together these flashbacks in order to figure out the mystery of the key before the main threat in the novel catches up to them. I enjoyed the dynamic between the characters and the multiple POV’s provide clues which add to the suspense. This is a plot which kept me guessing till the end and would recommend for those who enjoy a mystery thriller with an element of romance.

First time in reading this author and it picked at the curiosity. Sophia has a important task but a unfortunate accident creates some challenges with the task. James too comes across a tremendous challenge helping a girl that is in desperate need. Now we are really into this for the duration to see what transpires next and more than just next. Things better get it together too or the time will run out. Curiosity will really pay off and a excellent read will come into play with this one. This is a page turner.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book from Voracious Readers Only and the author.  I was hooked from the very first sentence.  I immediately fell in love with Sophie's character.  I also love how she found James, which led her to Tina and Ben.  They are all amazing characters.  The flashbacks that Sophie gets to help her out are an interesting way to keep the story flowing but also tell you about her past.  This story was impossible to put down and was so full of action and mystery about weekday would happen next, that my heart was still racing for a long time after finishing the book.  I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

A nicely woven web of mystery and action that moves seamlessly from present day to plot-changing memories. I can’t wait to learn more about Sophie and her family in the next books in the trilogy! Easy and fun to read, I felt like I was a part of the story.

The Key by Stormi Lewis is book one of the Sophie Lee Triology which consist of 24 chapters is a short read , I read it in one sitting last night.

🗝️It is part of a trilogy starring Sophie Lee Harris, the protagonist. Well this book is full of surprises in the storey, suspense, tension and excitement that left me absolutely bemused

🗝️Starting with the title of the book " The Key " it gives the vibe of a answers to unlock , a difficult choice which makes it a relevant one and to be honest from a viewer and a readers point of view such titles stay with readers and give them a curiosity to read the book. So I feel it's a perfect fit. Cover on the other hand is a very is a very basic yet attractive one.Overall the outer appearance of the book is appealing and I would rate it 2/2

🗝️Coming to the plot It is the tale of Sophie, a young woman who has the ability to dexter her enemies. The only thing is that she finds herself with a touch of amnesia and doesn't know why she needs to be killed by these monsters.
If you are looking for an exception read which has elements of Mystery world and thrills then this book is a cherry on the
cake for you.

🗝️Find this book to find out
• Will they be able to recover her memories before the man with the cane closes in?

You want romance? You got it! A solid mystery? You got it! A twisty thriller with LOTS of action? YOU GOT IT!

I would definitely rate this somewhere between a 3.5 and 4 stars. This was definitely a thriller that hooked me in from its fast paced start and kept me guessing. Sophie is the keeper of a mysterious key and because of this continually has teams of assassins after her. A car accident leaves her with some pretty serious memory gaps about who she is and what she is running from. She meets James and his friends by fluke and changes all of their lives forever. With more threats looming the reader is along for the ride to solve the mystery with the characters. Ending with a cliffhanger I already can't wait until book 2 comes out!

If there was the option for bonus stars The Key would be a ten!
Incredibly well written with very strong, mental, physical and emotional, female characters. Sophie is terrifying and awesome at the same time. Her drive to protect is almost her undoing. So hard to write a review that is not filled with spoilers!! It is a combination of murder, mystery, intrigue, and Love, not all of which is romantic. I highlighted the love as it is what differentiates Sophie and The Key from others in the same genre.
I am extremely grateful for the complimentary copy of this amazing book The Key from Stormy Lewis via Voracious Readers Only.
I read several hundred books a year and can honestly say this is one of the very best in the last couple of years. Hopefully Book 2 is due very soon!!!

Mystery, Romance & gobs of Action!

What is the Key? And who is the man with the cane? You’ll be asking yourself this constantly as you excitedly turn through the pages.

This is the story of Sophie, a young woman with a knack for slaying her enemies. The only problem is she finds herself with a bit of amnesia and she doesn’t know why these people want to kill her. Luckily, she stumbles into James. Their relationship will have you swooning one minute and throwing your hands up in defeat the next, but you’ll want to keep reading! Trust me!

Lewis choreographed the fight scenes brilliantly, and Sophie’s memories are written like she’s an audience member watching her younger self. The ending will leave you reeling for more! What did they find?! I can’t wait to see what book two will bring to the table!

Where do I start, this was a rollercoaster. I was connected with the characters so much that at a certain point I wasn't sure if I was rooting for the right side! This is not my usual type of genre but badass assassins always lure me. I was so please with Sophie's character, it was pretty intriguing! She goes through so much while not knowing anything at all. Her life is a spiral of confusion and obstacles due to her amnesia. I have to say the plot kept me going... the plot twists as well! The element of memory loss the author implemented was spectacular when it came to the MC piecing everything together and finding out she has an intense job in her hands. I loved the dynamic between James and Sophie, she had a lot to learn thru out the book. If you like to have some romance in your books, this factor is also incorporated.

The story read like a movie, there was ton of action and suspense. Finding out the secrets kept me glued to the story! The world was well described, not too much not too little.I feel like her character development was pretty complete, however, I would have loved to learn a bit more of the character descriptions. The elements that brought the story together were enticing! I'm looking forward to read more about this world. Definitely adding Sophie to my list of relentless and determined characters! Her skills were pretty amazing in this book, I wonder what else is in store for her in this series.

If you're looking for a quick read to put you back in a reading mode, The Key will definitely help! Cant wait to read more by Stormi Lewis! Thank you so much for gifting me this book.

That review will be ”4.5” because I am still waiting for explanations of the key! I can't wait for the second book. The parts I had to ”hide myself” from was the chemistry.

This book contains: Thrilling Mystery, Violence, Romance
(It’s NA basically)
Overall the book has intrigued me, and it's pretty good. The mystery keeps the blood boiling in life or death situations. I figured that I don't enjoy romance or violence, but I'm hooked for the series. The characters are formed nicely.

This book was really good, a page turner. Poor Sophie and her lost memory. She gains some friends who help her slowly regain some memories but I have a feeling there is a lot more to come! Lots of action but there are some romantic parts in here too! It's well balanced out and I loved it! Looking forward to the next book!

Stormi Lewis approach me to read this book and I'm glad she did as I very much enjoyed it!

Quick overview of the book:

"From an early age, Sophie Lee Harris was chosen to be the keeper of the key without any choice"

After being in a car accident she can't remember anything and people are after her.... But why?!
With the help of new friend James and his two best friends Tina and Ben, Sophie tries to recover her memories. Will she recover them before the people find her? READ IT!

As soon as I started reading this book I was hooked! I was really routing for the whole 'gang' and I got as frustrated as Sophie did when she couldn't remember important information! I thought all the characters were great, Ben I think was my favourite! He was funny, caring and told you straight if there was a problem! Sophie's character was pretty badass! I would not want to get on the wrong side of her, that's for sure!
I really enjoyed the story between Sophie and James, seeing their new found relationship rise and fall, trying to figure out what they were going to do next! Ben and Tina also just made a fab married couple, you could tell they really did love each other! It was done just the right amount and not over the top 😊.

It has been a while since I've read a book with a cliffhanger and this one left you wanting more, so I will be reading the second book when it comes out later on this year 😊🤓

The book keeps you in the dark throughout so as the characters find out information, so do you! Which keeps you intrigued and in suspense. But at the same time it jumps POV's seamlessly to give you hints and different perspectives. About a girl on the run who bumps into a boy, then gets hit by a car and gets amnesia! Why is she on the run? She can't remember so you get the thrill of trying to find out why!? 🤯 I can't begin to explain the imagery and the individualism the story brings without spoiling it so you'll just have to read 😏

I spent the first part of the book a bit confused but in a way that I wanted to find out more and make sense of things. Because of the quick pace of the book some things felt rushed in the moment but then made sense as the book went on as it's necessary for the progression of the story. Bit of cheesiness, but who doesn't love a little cheese?

I love Ben and Tina and their relationship dynamics along side the main characters! I'm so interested to read more about Sophie and what's going on in her life, there's still so much unknown and I can't mention any of it without giving spoilers 😂 Thank you Stormi for making me aware of your book, but damn you for doing it before book 2 has been released 😅 Will be looking out for Book 2 "The Protector" later this year.

The Key by Stormi Lewis is a thrilling novel that takes us through the chance encounter of James and Sophia under alarming circumstances.

Quick Dip:
Someone is after Sophie. Does she have something that they want? Or, is she the one they want? When Sophie gets attacked, James becomes her unlikely savior. But unfortunately she loses all her memory and struggles to recollect some clues about her mysterious past. Ensuing is a journey that's filled with a dash of adventure, love, romance and even a sprinkle of magic as James and his best friends try to crack the puzzle and save Sophie before it's too late. (Note : This is not a damsel in distress novel, but there are just a few elements of it which is enjoyable)

What I felt?
I was hooked from the start and was curious to know how the story will turn out. It's the fast and cozy kind of book that keeps you turning the pages. I found myself caught in their adventure as the novel progressed. It really is a plot driven comfortable read and I am looking forward to get the next one in the series !
