This was just another reminder why this series is so great as well as a sobering realization that it’s been over 3 yrs since we’ve had a new entry of Dex and company.

4.5 "love would see him through" stars
Second compilation of fanservice short stories about THIRDS characters. Contains spoilers of the entire main series, but not from Austen and Zach's book. Basically: THIRDS as its best. The author shows here what she can do well in this series: character-driven (either romantic, found family or both) moments with remarkable personalities, strong dialogue and general sappiness.
Here can be found extreme cuteness and endless lovey-dovey shit. Overwhelmingly so. I got a bit of something from all my favorite dynamics, some even more than I expected. Because I'm a dork I read Vol. 2 first, but I can't even imagine what gems Vol. 1 will give me.
There's absolutely no plot, a good amount of the stories are scenes already described in THIRDS series but from another POV, some were things mentioned but yet not told in total detail. As for the on-going story development, there's mostly on Rafe's side and a bit about Taylor and Angel. Besides that, this is wonderfully useless. Unironically the best THIRDS book unless Vol. 1 beats it.

I loved getting to see more of the gang. I still wish these short stories were in order as they fell within the books. It gets confusing having to jump around from when they were together to then they aren't together. It seemed to happen with all the couples.
I do love this cast, so I love getting just a little more with them, especially Sloane and Dex.

I had so much fun reading volume one in this flash fiction story collection that I was thrilled the author was doing a second volume. Of course, much like with the previous book, I struggled mightily with how to write this review. The format of this book is prompts from readers and then flash fiction stories to answer their questions. Difficult to review, to be honest. I was determined, however, to get my love and enjoyment for this book out in words so bear with me and my muddied writing.
'THIRDS: Beyond the Books Vol. 1' gave me an opportunity to see a lot of Dex and Cael's childhood, the family they had with Tony, and gave me glimpses into a lot of firsts for the guys on their team. In this volume I got more background on the inter-relationships among the team members while at work and at play… or, in Dex's case, all day long. Don't get me wrong, there were enough stories of each of the couples, too, but some very funny (and more serious) ones between teammates.

Secondo volume dedicato alla raccolta di racconti ispirati all’universo “THIRDS” ideato dalla brillante mente di Charlie Cochet, ci troviamo di fronte a un’altra serie di storie sia divertenti che romantiche, alcune che richiamano scene specifiche dei libri (ecco perché consiglio di leggere queste raccolte solo una volta messi in pari con la lettura della serie principale) e altre completamente inedite.
Anche in questo secondo volume abbiamo diversi protagonisti, benché i componenti della Destructive Delta vadano per la maggiore. Tuttavia, è stato bello leggere delle storie anche su Austen, Zach, Taylor e gli altri (che nella serie principale hanno dei ruoli molto più marginali).

OMG so much this!!!
This is the series that should be made into a tv series. It’s all the stuff I love about reading. ALL the stuff. From touching moments to laughing out loud. One minute your heart is breaking and the next you want to rip into someone. Plus all the speculations you make during and after you’ve read it. And the guys... man they steal your heart. I crave more!! I beg for more and I know I’m not alone in this.

Non sono mai stata un’amante dei racconti brevi, anzi, però sono invece un’amante della serie THIRDS di Charlie Cochet, per cui devo dire che alla fine con questo libro mi sono trovata un po’ a metà strada.
Le storie, infatti, sono tutte molto dolci e carine, ma soprattutto tutte molto divertenti. Più volte mi sono ritrovata a ridere sguaiatamente mentre leggevo, o a mettermi un pugno in bocca per evitarlo di fare agli orari più strani possibili, tipo l’una di notte. E questo, come sempre quando ho a che fare con la serie THIRDS, è successo grazie ai personaggi, non solo Dex, che continua ad essere un adorabile folle, sempre di più ad ogni storia che passa, ma anche grazie agli altri.
Perché sì, l’unico grande vantaggio del fatto che questo romanzo sia costituito da tante storie brevi è che così si possono avere racconti da molti più punti di vista e non solo da quello di Sloane e Dex, ma anche tratti dalle altre coppie del romanzo, se non persino di personaggi che ancora si conoscono poco e i cui romanzi veri propri non sono ancora usciti, e chissà se mai lo faranno. Questo aspetto mi è particolarmente piaciuto, perché mi ha permesso di immergermi ancora di più in questo fantastico mondo.
I racconti brevi, però, allo stesso tempo sono stati il motivo per cui questo libro non mi ha fatto impazzire, ma devo ammettere che già me lo aspettavo prima di incominciarlo.
Il fatto è che sono delle storielle davvero corte, a volte decisamente troppo, non connesse le une alle altre. Semplicemente si tratta di scene inedite dei romanzi, o che si dovrebbero piazzare tra un romanzo e l’altro, e questo ha fatto sì che in ognuna arrivata alla fine avessi come la sensazione che mancasse qualcosa, come se tutte si interrompessero a metà, volevo saperne di più di quello che stavo leggendo e non passare ad altro.

This anthology has 44 short stories and it's a great peek into the lives of the characters of the THIRDS series. I feel like this anthology is more full of extras, things that are just scenes from the lives of these characters that we have no idea about and that was great. We do get some canonical scenes from different POVs but not many.
My favourite stories were "The Hobbs Brothers" and "Love Will See Rafe Through", they were both very emotional stories and the former story had me bawling my eyes out. I really love the entire Hobbs family.
I also loved the stories where we got to see the whole team because Destructive Delta is my jam. Also, I have to make a special mention for "Take the Damned Bears" because Ash and Dex will never not be funny.
This anthology has a lot of stories revolving around Ash and Cael and I like that but at one point it was a little too much, I would have loved to see more of the other couples as well. We get very few stories about Calvin & Hobbs and Seb & Hudson.
We got quite a few stories revolving around Sloane and Dex, and I loved them. It's strange just how much of the THIRDS series revolves around these two characters but even then I loved reading more about these two in these short stories. Also, the last story is so cute. Seeing Dex interact with Sloane in his felid form has got to be one thing I didn't know I was missing in my life.
I really enjoyed these anthologies because the THIRDS series didn't go so well toward the end for me, so it was nice to get another chance to enjoy these characters because these characters have literally burrowed their way into my heart.

I’m so happy that Charlie has given us two collections of flash fiction stories about the characters that we’ve gotten to know and fall in love with while reading the THIRDS Series books. I really enjoyed getting to read some of the moments that happened off page that the characters may have mentioned during the series. Definitely worth a read as it added a lot to the reading experience. I thoroughly enjoyed this collection but it’s bittersweet since it’s the last of the THIRDS Universe books until more are released. Some of the memorable short stories were the one about Sloane organising an amazing Christmas gift for Ash, to cheer him up while they were in the First-Gen Therian Facility.
Any story with Calvin and Hobbs, totally adorable. I’m glad that the ball pit incident was included as I found it funny when it was mentioned during Smoke & Mirrors but I had tears running down my face reading the actual scene. When Wolf found out about Hudson being hurt, and visiting him in ICU. It was nice to see what goes on in Wolf’s head and how much Hudson still means to him, and the moment that Seb’s new team accepts him, not only as their leader but part of their family as well. I’m looking forward to reading more books from the THIRDS Universe, and Charlie in the future. I’d definitely recommend this collection, series, universe and author to everyone.

La serie THIRDS è una di quelle che non si dimenticano, una volta letta e, secondo me, la Cochet ha fatto un lavoro magistrale nel descriverci questi personaggi incredibili e nel creare un mondo straordinario, fatto di contraddizioni esattamente come quello reale.
In questo secondo volume scopriamo ancora una volta nuovi momenti nascosti vissuti dai nostri eroi, attimi segreti che non fanno altro che farceli conoscere e amare ancora di più, nelle situazioni più disparate.
Non sto qui a descrivervele per non spoilerare ma sappiate che ci saranno momenti esilaranti, con Sloane e Austin, altri emozionanti tra i quali spiccano i miei agenti preferiti, Ash e Cael, e Seb e Hudson, ma tutti sono fantastici e sono stata felice di leggere di loro ancora una volta, scoprendo che mi erano davvero mancati.

Absolutely enjoyed this. All the things I enjoy so much about the series comes back in all the prompts that gave Charlie the creativity to tell and create more scenes of this rowdy loving bunch. Vreat to get some more glimpes in the lives of this fantastic, loving , sometimes crazy bunch.

Mark Westfiels is as familiar as a pair of comfy slippers. His voicing fits for me with all the characters and I was glad to spend several hours a day listening to all the antics of this crew by his voice.

Awesome!
I really enjoyed the stories. I don’t mind being spoiled for the books especially since too much anxiety upsets me. :-) these are such real characters that I just love them all. I even like wolf even if he’s totally psychotic. I love the way the relationships develop. And I love Dexter. :-) He kind of reminds me of myself. He’s such a dork! Star Wars and 80s music awesome!

Another set of cuteness.
I mean, some of them were meh, but mostly this was another set of cute little stories to add meat to the bones of the universe. The mechanics were horrible, as usual, but it be what it be. I love details, so two books full of nothing but adding detail? Very nice. Great success!

Adoro questa autrice fin dal primo libro dei Third... mi piacciono queste storie brevi, come ho adorato quelli della prima raccolta, che vanno a riempire i vuoti dei vari libri... riesce sempre a catturare l'attenzione, bellissima la descrizione che fa dei personaggi che si trasformano nella forma Teriana, sembra di poterli vedere... quanto ho riso nel racconto del Paintball, e in quello della bambina, il primo Natale di Dex e Sloane da sposati... tenerissimo il racconto dedicato a Rafe.

The little snatched of their lives are interesting
But I would like another book. How does being in TIN affect their relationships with the teams - do Dex and Sloan actually call Ash’s team for help? Dex stays ‘Dex’ after working as a TIN agent for a while? And Payne was a TIN man for a long time, how does work with his relationship with Zach?

This one was cute but volume one was much better imo. No “sexy times” but plenty of humor and back story.
Minor issue that irks me though - quite a few typos in this one. Some of the stories seemed rushed and not fully fleshed out well (Rafe’s story comes to mind).
Overall it was cute though and worth a read.

I loved the first one, I love the second one and I’m sure it’s going to be the same for a third one (please Charlie🤧). I love seeing all these unseen scenes, the happy and fun ones as much as the sad ones. I love this concept so much!
I hope there is more about Taylor/Angel and Dom/West (yes, I believe in them) in the third one 💕

I loved this collection of short stories just as much as the first volume! I found this one to be lighter and funnier than the first volume, but both were a joy to read. Thank you to the author for your sincere love of your fans and we hope to read more in this universe for a long time to come.

I cannot get enough of these side stories that expound upon events only mentioned in the books, and the early lives of the THIRDS team.

Loved this glimpse back into the THIRDS series! So many great looks at couples, some from early on, others from a little past the series. Some heartache and lots of laughs. I'm really sad to see the series end but I'm excited for the next spin-off with Destructive Delta taking on TIN.
