She gave him an ultimatum, it was the streets or her. His walking out of her life gave her the answer she wasn’t expecting. How do you pick up the pieces when you’ve lost your one. THE ONE!
Fate grieved the loss of Dodge as if he’d died but to not have him while he still had breath in his lungs was more painful than death. It took her 7 years to get over him and when she was finally in a good place, Dodge resurfaced with answers to questions that she didn’t want anymore.
Fate new her worth but so did Dodge and that’s why he refused to let up until he reclaimed his lost one!
Grey put her pinky toe in this novella and I absolutely loved it! All the feels were felt from anger to sympathy to hope and most importantly love! This is a story you definitely want to indulge in!

For once, Grey had me on the woman’s side. I loved how Fate stood her ground & didn’t spin the block so easily. Dodge had to put in some necessary work to get her back. These days, if a book doesn’t end like this one did, it’s not for me, must be a new trope of mine.

Love like this just don’t exist anymore!!! He always chose her, she waited even without communication because she knew where her heart belonged. He didn’t run, he fought and tried even with her constantly turning him away. This is longevity at its finest and I’m here for it!!! Grey Huffington is truly one of one. Fate & Dodge I'm a sucker for a happy ending. Dodge made Fate his choice but then got jammed up, Fate waited 7 years for the answer. She was rightfully angry, sad, and grieving. Dodge had to put in work to win her back. Cute quick read.

I don’t know, her writing sometimes swings between empowerment and subtle reinforcement of old gender scripts. It’s like she’s aware of feminist language and themes but still writes in a structure where women’s worth is bound up in men’s love.

Fate gave Dodge an ultimatum- it was either the streets or her. After they were done doing the do, Dodge left Fate without saying a word. Five days after their last encounter, Dodge was sent to prison for seven years.
First off, why tf did Dodge think sh*t was sweet after seven years?! Let’s get into this! 1. He sexed that girl and left her. 2. Fate wrote him 52 letters and he never responded. 3. Refused her visits. 4. He was out of prison for SIX WEEKS before he went to see Fate and thought she was supposed to accept his little apology. The nerve!
In the end we found out why Dodge chose to walk away from Fate. I can understand both sides, but I feel like Dodge could have communicated better. It’s not that hard. I can say that I enjoyed reading this. It was super short and had funny moments.

Love Found
This was a cute, quick read. Dodge and Fate had been young lovers, but they knew they were destined to be together. Fate however knew the path Dodge was going down would take her away from him and it surely did. When they get a second chance at love it feels like unfortunately they may have lost love, but they actually found it.
This is short, there is no real character development but I enjoyed it for the novella it was.

DODGE & FATE❤️
This short story was charming. Dodge's actions, though complex, were understandable, and it's heartwarming that Fate was open-hearted enough to give him an opportunity. It clearly illustrates the depth of Fate's feelings for Dodge, which is touching. The mutual nature of their affection made the story all the more satisfying.

. Fate and Dodge. I know the pain of loving someone and feeling that they will never choose you. Dodge actually made the choice and it was fate but time caught up with him and he went to prison. To save her from putting her life on hold he didn’t send letter or accept her visits but fate didn’t see it that way. So when the time came to sTep to her and win her heard back, it became a challenge. I get it from both sides but i felt that dodge should’ve communicated that to her instead of letting her mind wonder. Another story i immensely enjoyed and another one that I felt would’ve been great if it was longer.

My rating has more so to do with the characters then the actual book itself bc my guy you were gone for 7years and just expected for things to be honky-doree when you returned???????? And honestly his reasoning for not writing her back is utter BS bc you knew she was waiting for you after her numerous letters that you read replied to but never sent back 😤😒 if he was really serious about wanting her to move on, he should have replied to one of her FIFTY-TWO letters and told her to have a good life, finish school, and have that picnic in the park but nooooooo he just continued to get her letters every other week while she suffered in literal silence without a proper goodbye like GTFO of my face with that weak ass excuse !! And to just write her that weak line of “don’t have fun without me” Negro 😒😒😒🤬 be freaking for real right now !!!

What an intense story of love, and the things it will make one do! Fate was angry, and resentful of Dodge, for the choices he made that separated them. Dodge, wanted to protect Fate from the pain of him not being there for her, so he cut all ties. However, the love was still there for them both. Finding their way back to that love would prove difficult. But, Dodge worked hard to get Fate's attention, until he was able to get her to listen to him. A love this strong could not be lost. Great read! 👍👍👍

Seven years later, Fate wants to be left alone and Dodge is fighting for the love they once had. I really enjoyed this short story. There are some small things I would’ve loved to know, like what was in one of these letters? I would’ve wanted to know a little more about these characters too. However, I know it was short and I still enjoyed it.
I would give it a 3.5 but I can’t.

Although this is a quick read it still holds the customary penmanship we’ve come to expect from Grey. Fate’s determination was cute but stood no chance against her true fate. Dodge was determined and rightfully so with the revelation that would catapult the destiny he desired for him and Fate. I was pleased to see that Grey dropped some heat to hold us over and per usual she didn’t disappoint.

Sometimes you have to leave and come back to claim what really belongs to you. Dodge wanted to do right by Fate but something happened in between. Fate was hurt and waited years for Dodge to return. Once he did, Dodge had a lot making up to do. He was waiting and knew he couldn’t rush Fate back to him. In the end, Fate followed her heart back to Dodge. Truly enjoyed reading this, can’t wait for the next release by Grey.

Explaining the situation was very important for closure and healing for them both and it added to the makeup sex!

This love story I really loved! Fate being Fake and real mad at the same time was hilarious! We as women are hilarious! Don’t want to be bother with the nigga and then want to be bother by the nigga at the same time! 😂😂😂 But Dodge was not letting up! That man Mowed the lawn, and put a tent out in her front yard! But her letting go of stubbornness and him being accountable for his actions and willing to right his wrong is what the needed to get back to each other! Loves it!

Another Hot!
Grey never fails to bring the heat and this one definitely did not disappoint. Short, sweet m romantic read that was interesting from beginning to end. Although I was with Fate initially, after hearing Dodge out, I’m glad that she forgave him. After all, she hadn’t been with anyone for seven years, so she was definitely waiting on him. Loved it!

Just To Be Close To You
Fate thought that Dodge was choosing the streets over her after she gave him an ultimatum but he ended up getting caught up while making moves to give her what she wanted. Dodge came back into Fate's life to repair what he had broken and to fix their relationship. She put up much resistance but love conquered all in the end.

Waiting until for him
I enjoyed your novel it was short and sweet,although fate was stubborn with taking her man back she new she would have waited forever for him . it was cute the way he pampered her everyday.
