This story was sweet, romantic,steamy and with a HEA. They fell head over heels in love and nothing could stop them from being together. A few revelations and in the end they got their HEA.

Penny has loved Steve Bennett even before she was old enough to know what those feelings were. She heard he just got picked up by a national racing team and was afraid he might leave his small town friends behind. Her dad calls her into the room where they are sitting to hear Steve’s big announcement. Along with his own good news, he wants her dad to come head up some of the pit crew -- and he wants Penny too! They need to leave tomorrow, but Penny is hesitant, not knowing where she would fit in with this new situation. But finally they convince her, although her dad keeps giving his best friend a few odd looks now and then. And Penny agreed to this far more quickly than she normally accepted new things because, for once, she is not afraid of what might happen next – she is actually counting on it to happen!
Having won the race, even though his engine was blown at the finish line and the car slided across the line backwards, the owner sent him and Penny ahead on his private Lear jet to the next destination. Steve asked the flight attendant to give them total privacy. Today was such an amazing day. He made it to the pro racing team, he won the race, and his woman was with him now in the private jet, waiting to become his officially. Her father saw them go into each other’s arms after the crazy heart-in-throat ending of the race, but then they were rushed out of there by the owner and sent on to the next destination. So although Mike must know by now, they haven’t told him they are in love. Will he fight them over this? Will he quit as Steve’s top mechanic? Will Penny walk away rather than lose her father’s respect and love?
This was such an exciting book, especially the race where I almost jumped up and screamed with the crowd! Steve and Penny still have what could be a difficult path ahead of them. Will they stay together in love? Will his dangerous job split them up? Grab your copy and see where this leads them. This is one hot read from the very first chapter. It is obvious that Penny and Steve have feelings for each other.

Another Man Who Knows What He Wants story by Flora Ferrari. This story introduces us to Pepper 'Pinky' a young 20 year old adopted orphan who is in love with her adopted father's best friend Steve. Steve is a race car driver who has just gotten his dream of being signed with a national team. He is in love with his best friend's daughter Pepper and doesn't want to pursue his dream of driving with out her so he enlists the help of his best friend to be the team's mechanic so that Pepper could come along too. Having gotten his dream, he concludes that it is time to claim Pepper as his. With his mind is on Pepper he barely wins his first race after ruining the car and publically claims Pepper much to the dismay of her father. Pepper is ecstatic that she is finally with Steve but is worried about her father. In a plot twist she finds out that the owner of the racing company that Steve is with is actually her grandfather and that her biological mother is deceased. Her father accepts their union and both Pepper and Steve go on to live their H.E.A.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Penny Pinkerton and Steve Bennett. Penny has known for years now the one man she truly wants is Steve. Sure she has had guys that wanted her but she always seen them as boys and what she wants is a man. She has never been one to like change so when she is told that they are joining Steve's racing crew she is definitely hesitant. Steve knows this is his chance to have it all. He is finally a professional racer and he can finally get the woman he wants more than anything. He can't let her say no though to this opportunity. If she says no he knows he is out too. Can these two really have it all or will her father step in and make sure that never happens?
This is another amazing hit by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Penny & Steve
This story wasn't for me.
It takes place in a matter of a few days. It's the story of 20 yr old Penny & her father's best friend, Steve.
I was all on board for an age-gap, father's best friend romance, and I got that, but the rest just felt off. The characters seemed erratic. Steve's behavior in this short time frame seemed more obsessive than anything resembling love.
Your racing a car, but your only thoughts is Penny. An older man, who happens to be someone you know, that works for her father, that you describe as someone old enough to be her grandpa, makes you so jealous that you almost lash out. Watching her house the night before a big race to make sure she's safe...Why? Was she in danger? No.
She wasn't much better, plus she actually asked if he thought a girl could get pregnant after having sex once. Wtf? She came across more like a naïve teenager, than someone a man would actually want to be with unless he's into to naïve teenagers, instead of a smart, intelligent woman.

this is the first book i read about car racing the story is about steven an elderly racing driver who falls in love or falls for penny also called pinky
the story is nicely written about love and the racing world and how hard it can be and what are you going to do actually do with those feelings.
The story takes you on a journey of emotion and making choices, but once you know what he wants, you will strive for 100% and will not be stopped by anything or anyone. There were also times when I was surprised because it went slightly different than I thought.
This is definitely a book you must read, what I have read of Flora so far, this is also one that can be included with great characters and a good story and plenty of sexy moments in it

Steve is a race car driver and Penny's dad's best friend. Penny has had feelings for him for awhile but never thought he would want her back. When she comes home and finds out that he wants her to come with him and her father while he races and her dad works for him she is stunned. She agrees because she wants to be around him and Steven is happy because he is ready to make his move on her. Her dad warns him away from her but Steve knows its too late he is going to claim Penny for his own. What will her dad do once he sees that they are together?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last. The chemistry between them is sizzling hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Steve has wanted to be a famous race car driver his whole life. Now that he has the opportunity, he wants to bring his best friend on as part of his pit crew, but only if his beautiful daughter comes along. He can't stop thinking about the beautiful woman she's become and has claimed her in his heart before he even sees her again. When Penny sees Steve's truck in her driveway, she can barely breathe. She's always been drawn to him, but now that she is a consenting adult, her feelings are more real than ever. When she has the opportunity to go on the road with him, she can't believe her luck. Of course, nothing can be easy and Penny and Steve have to find a way to get Penny's dad on board. Sweet short story with a happy ending!

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Penny and Steve. She was adopted by Mike at a young age. Steve is her dad's best friend. He is a race car driver and her dad is his mechanic. So when Steve gets the chance to go pro, he offers to take Mike and Penny with him. But he realizes how feelings for Penny have changed since she came home from college. She's always had a crush on him but never thought it would be reciprocated. When a win changes their lives forever, Steve vows to make Penny his forever. An unexpected person from her real family shows up unexpectedly and has a impact on both of their lives. Great HEA with lots of family and love.

I liked this story a lot. It had plenty of feels while being entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable. I really loved the twist with Penny. Steve and Penny had both been interested in each other for a while, but distance had separated them. With both of them in close proximity, their attraction picks up and they discover that it's mutual. It gets kind of over the top for a while after that, but it's worth it. Racing is a big deal to both of them but they weren't expecting how their feelings for each other would play into it. Steve and Penny get a wonderful happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Flora Ferrari has been one of my top 10 must read authors for some time now and this book only reinforces that. Ms. Ferrari has a way of drawing you into her books with her fantastic storytelling and world building. Her characters are so delightful that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Steve and Penny's story is one of being put in a position of being with your soul mate and knowing that's where you should always be. This story has everything that you could want; comedy, action, drama and of course hot, hot romance (it is a Flora Ferrari book after all). Please don't miss this delightful gem.

Steve and Penny have know each other her whole life as he is a best friend of her dad, who crews for Steve, a racecar driver. Penny has loved Steve for many years he always showed her kindness. When Steve gets a major contract, he wants Penny and her dad to be with him as part of his crew. The characters are strong and determined and their histories help you understand their decisions and feelings. The suspense and tension of what her family will think and if they each want this to go further, increases as they become closer. The romance builds nicely and gets pretty hot. Book is hard to put down and you have your fingers crossed for the two.

This well-written, OTT, instant everything, Book 196 in the A Man Who Knows What He Wants Series is a great short story with well-developed characters that fall for each other and have to figure out how to overcome an obstacle of her dad and his best friend. These characters have an age difference that may be an obstacle but if you really love someone does it matter even if he may lose his best friend. It is a great quick read like all Ferrari stories. A realistic story in actions/reactions and as always I love the short story.

Steve has his chance to drive for a major race team and he is going to take it. But before he does he wants to take his mechanic Mike and Mike's daughter Penny along for the ride. What he really wants is Penny for his own. He loves her and since she now is old enough, he wants to share his life with her. He just has to convince her of this and also her father. There are some very interesting and unusual developments along the way. It definitely has some surprises that are original and unique. It is a crazy, hot, sexy love filled with entertaining, funny situations.

Penny has always had a crush on Steve since she knew why a crush was. Being her dads best friend has made him off limits. But enough is enough they deserve each other. Penny and Steve have this chemistry like no other and it is totally adorable that you just crave more of this book. Her dad didn’t like it very much with the 20 year age gap but shoot who can stand in the way of love. Great book and loved the epilogues.

I couldn’t put it down, it was a real page turner. It is an older man younger woman romance that is also a dads best friend romance. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is an instant heat, instant action short story. He was not afraid to go after what he wanted finally. There were not many instances of questioning how it would effect anyone else. They were all hands on. So much so, you wondered how he was even able to race. It was not my favorite story by this author, but it was not bad
