Beth could have sworn that she felt the heat from his palm burning her.

"Hi," he continued in an amused voice. "I'm Daniel ," he said, sticking out a hand.

The familiar name attracted her attention. She looked up instinctively, even though he was the last person she expected to see.

Beth is on vacation in Miami after breaking up with her fiancé when she caught him cheating and quitting her job in NY after she was cleared of some untrue allegations. She literally bumps into a guy on the beach who turns out to be Daniel, her former high school boyfriend who she hasn’t seem in over 10 years. He had suddenly moved away when she was on vacation and she now found out his dad had been transferred and they had left quickly. He lived in LA and had also recently broken up with his cheating girlfriend and they agreed to meet for dinner. Can Beth and Daniel rekindle their former relationship? If they do have feeling will anything happen since they live across the country from each other?

I give this short rekindled romance story 4.5 stars. Beth and Daniel had never forgotten each other and now they had a second chance to reconnect despite fears that it might not work out for them. The well written story showed their feelings and the epilogue was a perfect ending for their story.

I really don’t know if this book is part of a series or not considering it’s the 5th book. I suppose it could be read as a stand-alone. It’s super short and honestly I probably wouldn’t have requested a copy if I had known it was only going to be 2 chapters and an epilogue.
Beth found out her fiancée was cheating and decided to quit her job and leave New York. She visits her mom in her hometown and then heads to Miami. She runs into her ex-boyfriend/high school sweetheart and they realize that they have missed each other so much. Things escalate quickly from there and it’s a happy ending for the both of them.
I received an advanced reader copy from the author and I am giving my review voluntarily.

Reconnecting after all this time
Beth left town after finding her fiancé cheating on her. She decided to vacation in Miami. While there she runs into her high school love Daniel. They spend time together and he shares he has been cheated on as well. They both feel the old spark they felt from high school. Will that spark lead to something new to visit? The chemistry definitely still there.
This quick story was sweet short second chance romance that I thought was an enjoyable read. I feel like it was worthy of 4.5 stars.
I am voluntarily leaving my honest review for the arc copy of this book that I received.

This was a super short and sweet romance. Daniel and Beth pick up right where they left off after being apart for more than 10 years. This story was a little short for me. I wish there was a little more development to their story. Overall it was a good read.

Beth runs into her high school sweetheart. They both have exes who had cheated on them.
They get reacquainted and talk about what has happened in the last few years.
It's a nice short story about second chance love.
