Yep, you see the start and end date correctly. I started December 9th of 2023 and I ended it today.

There is a lot to unpack for this story, but first I will start with the rating of 3.5 stars. I rounded up to 4.

Why 3.5?

Well….lets start with the good. For starters I love small spooky comic stories. Nothing better than a scary ambiance in only 3 comic panels. The art progressed with each story and the horrors were drawn in a disturbing fashion. Gotta love it!

The story progression is where one star was lost. To be honest, idk how some people kept up with all the Easter eggs in this story. If it wasn’t for the webtoons comments I wouldn’t know that some of the stories were referencing panels from 2021. It wasn’t the easiest to catch all of these Easter eggs.

Some Easter eggs were easier than others and when those Easter eggs were caught it was a pretty nice addition to the story and made you feel like the author was really trying to bring out the world/lore of the story.

I felt like it took way too long for a real plot to develop and by the time a real plot came I started to lose interest in the story which caused me to take a long Hiatus. I wish the story was sped up more or at least told in a way that didn’t make me feel like I was reading 20 chapters of comic before I finally got a resolution to a plot point.

There were a few characters in this story and I feel the characters is what really helped maintain the 3 star status. The characters have flaws and are pretty believable characters. The way the characters interact with one another and the world is what kept me coming back.

However, .5 star was lost because I felt like the story was cut short. The author decided to restart the story and add more lore and information about the characters and monsters in this story. I appreciate that and I can get behind that. That’s part of why I am giving the story a lower rating. Even so, I don’t appreciate how the story was abruptly ended. I wish the author would have finished the smaller part of the story he was working on. I want to know what happened to Danny, Kevin, Sandra, Griffith and Terrance. I hate that I have to wait who knows how long to get an answer. Especially after all the time I put into reading the story on and off over a year and a half.

If the author makes this into a book I will buy and read it. I hope the book has better pacing. Please keep all the characters you created! I think they are all great! Even Sandra!

Please note that the review above is only for chapters 1-637. This does not reflect any chapters after that point. From what I understand that is all a remake the author is doing for the story so I feel it should not be a part of this review.
