I love this book. It has a cadence that on the tired days read from relief to humour, and in really relaxed days, a really good beach read. I just wish i got the non hardbound edition. It would be in my purse everyday, even while just doing the shopping. This book used to be my walkman on errand runs.
This is a cute book and a wonderful gift for someone who is new to entertaining and keeping a home. I appreciated the organizational tips. And I loved Ms. Konig's advice to paint a small room in a bold color—we did this and love it! Sadly, the formatting of the paperback was horrible. The cute comments in the margin required the words to run into the spine. I had to smash it open to read full sentences. Shame on the publisher, it detracted from the quality of the read.
Even though I didn't read this entire book, I still thought it was great. I love the way you can pick through the chapters and read a little of this or of that and feel like you're taking away some great ideas and inspiration. I love cherry-picking my way through a good nonfiction book!
