I really enjoyed the first book in this series and so was very happy to see a sequel published. Unfortunately, the second book never captured my imagination the way the first one did.

The plot revolves around the cast of the first novel spending their millions vacationing off the coast of Mexico where they discover a sunken vessel while scuba diving. They liberate a gold bell from the vessel, but as they transfer the bell onto their boat, a second boat comes near to them, making them fear that their discovery has been witnessed. So far, so good. But what follows after never made much sense to me.

The heroes decide to research the bell and try to discover its providence. This quickly becomes a search for a lost treasure ship of Cortez. Racing them, hounding them, harassing them, and threatening them through the whole book is a criminal who also wants to find Cortez’s ship. Everyone seems to have forgotten that they were actually at the lost ship at the beginning of the story. Both our heroes and the villain were at the shipwreck site, so while the chase and the efforts to escape the villain were interesting, they all seemed rather pointless. And that, unfortunately, sums up this novel for me.

A chance discovery of an old shipwreck in the Sea of Cortez and a gold bell with the inscription “Castillo” leads to a chase around the world to figure out the provenance of the bell. This is an amazing adventure of 6 people and the crazy cartel leader chasing them. From Cabo to Panama, back to Mexico, on to Key West, then to the Canary Islands, on to Gibraltar and Seville, and back to Key West and finally Mexico City! It’s a wild chase, with the group escaping the cartel leader over and over. This is a really exciting read and an interesting travelogue. You will definitely not be bored! I received a free copy of this book from the author and write this review voluntarily.

Trouble Seems to Follow Dee Sanders -- Dee and his friends head down to Mexico for some relaxation after their terrible time in 3 Hour Tour, Book 1. But a discovery while scuba diving leads to even more trouble. While trying to find more information about their discovery and trying to figure out what to do with it, they become targets. This book has lots of action, road chases, shoot-outs and kidnapping. Once you start you won't want to stop until you get to the exciting end. Looking forward to seeing what happens to Dee and his friends in the next book.

I was given the opportunity to be an advanced reader of this novel. Since I enjoyed the first book I jumped at the opportunity. The second story in the series follows the exploits of Dee and friends with a new adventure and is as good as the first. The story is well crafted and will draw you in. The story is exciting and keeps the reader engaged The characters are very relatable. An exciting and enjoyable read. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy a good adventure.

Adventure, mystery, and thieves to your liking? Then you should like This. Oh there is also treasure.
It took me a little while to get interested but then grabbed and kept my interest. This is a likeable group of tourists who get more adventure than they ever wanted. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Cabo 2 Cozumel (Dee Sanders #2), my second back-to-back read from author L.P. Snyder. Enjoyable, well-written thriller/suspense fiction. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I'll be reading his next work. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Confusing

When you gave the familiar characters military names (echo, bravo, etc.) It became to confusing and uninteresting to continue. Book 1 was much better.
