Fox is deeply devoted to his family and loves fast cars. To Harley, Fox seems like an easy target for a little fun but he sees right through her bluster and summons the girl underneath. I am mad about books! It all started when my sixth grade teacher Ms. Schwartz read Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls to our class, I looked forward to the time after recess when she would read a chapter or two to us. I've been hooked on books ever since. One day I stumbled upon Goodreads and discovered a world of crazy book junkies just like myself! Since then I've become a blogger, beta reader and promoter of romance fiction. I also found the courage and support I needed to try my hand at becoming an independent author. I can't wait to grow as a writer and share the characters who have been inhabiting my brain for years!

☆ I received an RC via the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!! ☆

3.5-75 stars!!

I've neglected writing a review for this book and now I'm finally back to write my feedback on it. *ponders: if only there were much more time in a day to dedicate to my book obsession&reviewing?*

Carolina Hurricane is the first ever Gwendolyn Grace read I've ever come across to review and certainly won't be my last.

It's always loved my racer reads, as I've always imagined having a type of love that dwindled along the fast lane, with some hotshot hunk. But, sadly, in Hawai'i we don't have that so I just have to dream and read them in books.

Needless to say, the plot and characters were intriguing and delightful, and will captivate you and reel you in.

I do have to warn you that it does indeed end with a cliffhanger, but don't fret too much, since bk2 has already been released!! *squeals*

Another book by this author devoured! I'm hooked. There's just something about her writing that instantly sucks me in. It flows so easily and by the time I know, I've reached the last page. It goes down like water. This is the third book I read by the author; the first being True.

To be honest, I really wasn't sure if I'd enjoy this one because I didn't like the heroine's personality at first. Harley Wyatt is not my type and that's the truth. She's rough around the edges. She's loud, blunt and very much on the wild side. I didn't like that she was kind of a drunk but I also knew she was hiding a somber past so I gave her a chance. There were things about her I did appreciate, though: she's free-spirited, funny and a smart-ass *lol* "A firecracker full of snappy comebacks." I know some readers will love her from the start.

“What the fuck, Fox! Every damn time! Are you a fucking genie that I didn’t realize I’d released or was there a distress signal flashing from my fucking vagina? How the fuck do you know exactly when to show up?”

What really kept me reading—besides the fabulous writing—was Fox and Harley's chemistry. The steamy scenes between them were addictive. Now about Fox: he was super sweet and would blush, awww!! BUT he still had some delicious alpha tendencies. He fell hard for Harley. FAST. And I found it refreshing how in this story it was the hero who got all clingy right away while Harley was just looking for a good time. Yeah, she has issues and reasons for not getting too close to people but she was genuinely just looking for some fun with this gorgeous guy. A one-night stand. She was running away from her past and from her on-again, off-again boyfriend when she met Fox practically on the side of a road. She was desperate for a fresh start and Fox ended up being everything she didn't know she was looking for.

“You found me. I needed you and you found me.”

Obviously there's more to the story but I won't say much more than that.

Why not 5 Stars?
Harley was an issue for me but I did warm up to her by the end. Also it feels like the book ended abruptly. It does say “To be continued in King (Drive Me Wild book 2)” but the description for that book is for another couple. King is actually Harley’s ex boyfriend, btw. I’m a bit confused but will be reading that book anyway. I need more Harley & Fox!

**The book includes a music playlist and this is definitely a huge bonus for me. I love the author's music taste. The playlists in her books are a keeper.

**I'm tagging this book as Sports Romance because the hero and other characters participate in illegal drag racing. I don't think it's considered a sport but whatever.

“I didn’t get the sense that he was a creep because I could spot one a mile away. He seemed too clean cut, too good-natured, just too opposite of anything I usually hung around with. It was as if my body knew something about him that my mind was still trying to figure out.”

My Review:

This is a new author for me and I am ecstatic over the discovery. I want to read Gwendolyn Grace’s entire catalog - past and present. I know nothing about street racing, but I didn’t need to know anything about it to enjoy every bit of this story. Ms. Grace has a humorous and crafty voice in telling this tale about a snarky young woman who is at loose ends and looking for a fresh start. Most of us have been there… but of course despite our hopes, we all drag our pasts around with us, as no matter where we go – there we are. The writing flows well and I found it clever, emotive, insightful, and entertaining. The sensual scenes sizzled and left me in need a cool drink... and my startled husband. An easy and quick read, but this only the first in the series. Thankfully the cliffhanger was not of the evil variety, but left me eager to continue. Hurry Ms. Grace, the race is on!

This book gets a 5 stars form me, because the writing is wonderful. Very engaging, and page turning. I could not put this book down, and will be on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book in this series.

OMG!!! This book was amazing... THIS IS A CLIFFHANGER.
Harley the rebellious heroine, has a bad ass attitude, a whole lotta sass, and lot more heart.
Fox a down to earth, warm, family loving southern Gentlemen.

Harley has been just wandering through life, lost. After her gram died, maybe even long before that, Harley was left alone in a hard world just trying to make it. She had turned into the bad ass everyone thought she was. She had to do what it took to survive. ANd that was what she did. Her on and off again boyfriend Mack was always there when she needed. But she wanted more than a bed warmer. She needed something. Or someone.

Then the hurricane brought Fox into her life. Accepting a ride from a stranger would have sent her Gram into fits. But what choice sis Harley have? She had almost no money, no home, and no car. How was she to know that one decision would change both their lives forever? The hurricane left much more than destruction in its wake.

4.5 Heart Racing Stars!

Carolina Hurricane is a unique read. I've never read a book set in the underground racing world before and I thought that was one of a kind. It added a layer of danger and mystery.

The love scenes were scorching hot! Fox sure knows what he's doing.... : )

I also enjoyed all the secondary characters, especially grams. She's got some wise words.

I also really enjoyed how I changed my mind about Mack in the end. I was surprised I did....

The pacing was perfect, the story flowed along nicely and there wasn't a dull moment. Carolina Hurricane is perfect if you're looking for something short and hot!

Anyways, you have to read Carolina Hurricane, what are you waiting for?

This is the first book of Gwendolyn's that I have read and it was a fantastic start to the Drive Me Wild series.

I fell in love with the characters instantly.
Harley is a badass, with the attitude to match and she doesn't take shit from anyone.
Fox is a sexy stranger that Harley runs into as she is trying to decide what to do with her life.
Harley and fox's story is intense and full of surprises.

I really enjoyed the story, and it didn't take me long to devour it.

I loved the writing, it kept me glued to the pages from start to finish.

Now that I have discovered Gwendolyn I will be reading her other books and will be painstakingly awaiting all of her future releases.

I really enjoyed Harley and Fox's story! Fox, aka Drew, was hot and demanding, while also being a gentleman. Swoon..Harley the main female lead has had a rough life and wakes up one morning after sleeping with her on again off again boyfriend, Mack. She decides that this relationship isn't good for either of them and decides to skip town and try to start a new life somewhere else. She decides on Sea Whipser Island because her Gram used to have a house there. She ends up meeting Fox while she's standing outside in the rain trying to figure out how she's going to get there. He offers her a ride and after some hesitation she agrees. Unfortunately, there is a hurricane coming in and the ferry to get to the island is closed and they have to stay in a hotel for the night. They had a lot of fun waiting for the ferry to reopen.

Once in Sea Whisper, Fox drops Harley off at her Gram's old house but he knows that she can't stay there since he knows about the island but doesn't say anything to her. The next day Harley finds herself in Annette's Catch, which is the restaurant that Fox's family runs and owns. Harley ends up as a waitress there and Fox offers her to stay with him. When they finally have sex, it is freaking hot! Fox is seriously one hot man..I was falling for him right along with Harley.

Harley still has her wall up though and after sleeping with Fox moves out because she can't deal with it getting weird and the fall out that might occur because that's what she is used to happening. This hurts Fox's feelings and you can tell, he ends up being cold to Harley and won't speak to her unless he has to. When they finally figure things out and make a go of it I was so happy!! I love them as a couple. They're perfect for each other. I really enjoyed this book, and I loved the street racing that was in it as well. Mack, Harley's old boyfriend, is a street racer and Harley finds out a little later on in the book that Fox and his brother Woody are as well. When Woody gets called out to race by Knight, a really horrible person, and loses, it's Fox's turn to race him. When he wins, Harley asks what now?...and that's when Mack pops back in and let's her know that now Fox and Mack will have to race.

The books are standalones, and don't really end on a cliffhanger they just end with the feeling that there is more to come. The way she sets up the next story in the series is pretty cool. We end the book with Fox and Harley in couple bliss, but Gwendolyn sets us up for Mack's book next and I like the little lead in she gives us for that.

Overall this book was a really great steamy, light read! I would highly recommend this book! If you like fast cars, hot scenes, and a couple smart mouthed woman with some backbone, along with some VERY hot men, you will love this book!

I was gifted an ARC in exchange for an honest review and WOW!

If this is any indication of what's to come in the following books of this series, it's going to be a hot, hot, hot one and I'm not just talking about burning rubber on the road!

This is book one in a new novella series, based around bad boy street racers and of course, a spicy hot romance. Fox however, is not your typical street racer stereotype. He's classy, affectionate, respectful and everything you could want in a man. He knows what he wants, he's far from a walk over and has a way of seeing through smart mouthed Harley and her no good spiteful attitude.

When a hurricane brews, forcing these two polar opposites together, the story becomes more about the whirlwind of emotions, a fierce connection that will leave your panties a little wet.

Chemistry is tangible from the beginning, the characters are lovable, even each of the secondary ones. You'll put down this book, missing each and every one of them!

Carolina Hurricane is not without your typical bad boy though, in fact there's a few trying to ruin what could be between Harley and Fox.

Oh, and there's more to this story.... and one of the arrogant bad boys will feature in the next installment. I wonder what type of woman is going to make him weak at the knees?

Yes, I'm highly anticipating the next novella, Carolina King!

After having read and loved Gwendolyn's first two novellas, True and Forever True, my expectations were high. I was not left disappointed in any way. This story is tight, her writing is exceptional and it hurt every time I had to put it aside to go to work or carry out my mother duties.

If there were AA meetings for 'Fox' addiction, then you best book me in baby ;-)

LOVED this book thoroughly. Well done Gwendolyn Grace x

This is the story of Harley, who has, by her own account, spent much of her life being let down by people. It seems her love life has been following the same pattern, until one day she decides she needs to move away and make a new start. She meets Fox who offers her a ride to Sea Whisper Island.

Sadly it took me a while to connect with Harley. She spent a large portion of the book, adamant that everyone, especially Fox would let her down even though it was clear Fox was perfect for her. The 'whole world is against me' thing got frustrating eventually and for such a short read I'd say she was like this for approximately 85% of the book.

From the beginning I loved Fox. He was mysterious at the beginning, with the perfect amount of Alpha male-ness, but at the same time he was caring and never gave Harley any indication that he would hurt her and I think this may be where my frustration with her stems from. However once Harley came to term with her issues, the chemistry between the couple came clear and I finally understood what Fox saw in her.

I would have loved a lot more of the antagonistic characters to have played a bigger role. One in particular seemed to appear as though she was going to create all sorts of problems for Harley and Fox and just as quickly she disappeared. Perhaps she'll have a more significant role later in the series.

There were parts of this book that I guessed quite early on, but overall I did enjoy it and even though book 2 focuses on a different couple, there is plenty of story to continue with.

All in all this was a good start to a series.

This book drove me WILD for sure and gave me a very good change of scenery. I grew up in the drag racing world scene (from track racing to street racing) so I was very familiar with this scene and FLOVED it. I floved everything about this story from Harley being the bad ass that she is to Fox being the SEXY as Hell mystery man. I fell in love with the characters instantly and rooted for them the whole way through this book. The story is unlike any that I have read. This book is totally hot, hot, hot!! Not only does this book have fast cars, but some really smoking hot sex scenes (yeah, the ones that will steam up that e-reader for sure). It is wonderfully and smoothly written. I am really glad to read something that I can relate to and this book did it for me. Just to warn you that this one ends in a cliffhanger, but is so worth it!!! If you are looking for a change of scenery and something fast and steamy then look no further. I can't wait to start Carolina King (Drive Me Wild #2). Happy Reading Everyone!!!

INFINITE STARS!

If there was an infinite rating system for books, Gwendolyn Grace would most definitely be the first author whose books I shall nominate!

Carolina Hurricane is the third book written by Miss Gwendolyn, and the second that I have read! True was the first and let me tell you, it was amazing! Miss Gwendolyn has a talent, or rather, a knack to write books with such well-developed characters and story. Yet, her writing isn’t heavy (if that’s most of you are wondering since the story is developed rather well!) and quite an easy read!

Seriously, I have immensely enjoy Carolina Hurricane so much that I really want to give the book never-ending stars!

Harley, the girl who protected herself by being a badass and a smart-mouth, aka the female protagonist who wants to be more than this side of hers when she meets Fox. Most of her adult life was spent with toxic company until she decides she had enough. She leaves the source of her toxic self and meets Fox while hitching a ride.

I love Harley and Fox so much! Their banter literally makes my life! The things they do together makes me feel so much, like I want to cry and laugh with them. I’ll be honest, I thought Fox would be quite a sunshine-guy that would be teased mercilessly by Harley and well, I GOT A SURPRISE!

(No, I’m not telling what the surprise is! *smirks*)

I love how the characters develop. It’s not too fast, yet not too slow either! There are some books where you are just wondering…”how in the world does the characters changes themselves so fast?!!” but let me assure you that Carolina Hurricane will most definitely NOT be one of those books!

Though…that ending…it’s a teeny tiny little bombshell. A bombshell that makes me want…no…NEED CAROLINA KING RIGHT NOW! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN BETWEEN HARLEY AND MACK AND FOX!

Carolina Hurricane is one of those books where it builds up your anticipation and you will want to keep on reading till the last page!

Highly recommended for all readers!

As the title suggests, this novella series is set in the Carolina's. The author either knows the area well or she has to have studied it or something because I was there. The descriptions throughout the book had me not just seeing the place, but I could feel it. The sea air, the atmosphere, the adrenaline, the emotion, even the sand under my feet. Yes that may sound a bit silly, but honestly, Gwendolyn Grace writes in a way to make you feel.

Leaving a bad relationship and pretty much nothing else behind, Harley attempts to catch a bus from Charleston to the one place she ever remembers being happy; her Grams' old beach house on Sea Whisper Island, South Carolina. She isn't quick enough though, with the bus leaving the depot before she can buy her ticket. Not wanting to risk staying with the weirdo's in the bus terminal overnight, she walks outside, not entirely sure where to go.

Outside, the rain starts to fall, but luckily for Harley, the hot guy she'd been toying with earlier, pulls up besides her and offers her a ride, finding out they are going to the same place. A hurricane has closed the route though and the pair end up spending the night in a motel, waiting for the roads to open again.

And so the story of Harley and Fox begins. Fox being part of a family who owns a restaurant and rental properties on Sea Whisper Island, and has a brother, Woody, a street racer, who he has to keep bailing out of problems.

A nice quick read, I read this in a few hours, I enjoyed Carolina Hurricane. It felt real to me. The atmosphere was there, the writing style was good and drew you in and it actually made me feel like I was reading a Nicholas Sparks movie. So much so, when I finished it I just had to watch 'Safe Haven' and ended my night bawling, lol. There was only one thing that seemed a bit 'meh' to me and that was the way Fox handled an issue. It seemed a bit wussy to me, but that's just my opinion.

It did have a bit of a cliff hanger ending, so I will be diving straight into Carolina King once I finish writing this review.

As you can't do half stars on here, I've selected 5 stars, but it would be more like a 4.5 for me.

Calling all fans of romance-new adult-southern boy-racing books…….

I have a book for you.

This book is the third that I have read from this author and I’m in love. This book is different from the her debut but its a PERFECT new adult read. There’s angst, hot boys, sexy cars, funny characters, and very very steamy scenes.

The story is about Harley, she’s running from her past, present, and future. She’s been let down by everyone that has been part of her life. So she's afraid to commit and hasn’t had a steady job, home, boyfriend, or girlfriends in a long time. She’s so afraid that the world will leave her hanging that she owns only what will fit in her extra large purse. She has nothing, that is until Fox enters her life.

Fox is different then what she is used too. He’s a gentleman but definitely hot, swoony and sweet. Even though Harley puts up this rough/ sorta bitchy exterior Fox can see through that and helps tear down all the walls that she’s built up around her heart to protect herself. He literally helps her see that living life and trusting someone with her heart isn’t really all that bad in the end.

Their are so many side characters to this story and I can’t wait to see what is in store for them in the future.

One character who I am hoping to see more of is Blake. I’m just gonna say now I’m totally into this new genre that seems to be the thing lately…..so Gwendolyn you know what I’m referring to…..and…..I’m crossing my fingers and hoping for you to jump right into THAT story. Readers if your curious to know what that vague part of my review is about you’ll have to hurry up, buy the book and read it to find out.

The story held my attention, was interesting, funny, and steamy. This author is one of my new favorite indie’s. Her story’s are great and worth the chance to read. In a world where steamy romance reads are a dime a dozen this author is making a name for herself and I see great things in the future coming from her.

After the death of her grandmother 6 years ago, Harley has floated around from place to place, doing jobs such as waitressing. After being fired, she tracks down Mack. He is a guy you don't want to mess with. What does she do after one night of sleeping with him again? After she does what it is she does, where does she go? Where is she looking to go when she gets there? What happens when she finds she would have to wait until the next day to go? Enter Fox, who is eating at a diner in town. Harley is sitting on the other side of the counter from him, drinking a cup of coffee before starting her long walk towards where she wants to be. They end up having to stop on the land side of the bridge instead of the island side because of a hurricane passing through South Carolina. What island are they trying to get to? Where do they end up having to stop at for the night? It was a blast reading about their boredom antics to keep busy and ride out the storm. When they get to the Island, Harley has Fox drop her off at a vacation rental home. He's uncertain about it. She sleeps outside that night on the porch swing. She goes swimming in the morning and then hits the town for breakfast in the morning. She gets a sandwich from Annette and over the course of time makes friends with Hal, the bartender and short order cook. When she gets drunk one night, she gets pawed at by someone else in the bar. Who is it that rescues her? Who is the pawer to that person? Where does Harley end up living? Ultimately she moves out of where she ended up and moves in with Blake and Tayia. Tayia is Jonna's best friend. Jonna is Fox's little sister. What happens one night when Fox takes Harley to a race? Who shows up? Can Fox and Harley make a go of it? What happens when Mack shows up one night and finds her at the races? What does Fox do? What happens that night? This book ends with a sort of cliff hanger, though not completely, because we know part of what is coming.

I was gifted this novella for an honest review and it's right up my alley. I'm a car buff raised under a mechanic father and I LOVE CARS, especially old muscle and race cars. Gwendolyn Grace enticed me with the cover and blurb and then her amazing story, characters, both primary and secondary and the way she tied it all together. I also love that she included her Playlist. I pulled it up and played low in the back as I was reading, AMAZING!

Harley is the main female character that is hell on wheels. She uses her smart mouth as a protective measure against people getting too close to her. This girl has had it rough and is afraid to trust anyone. She is trying to figure out what to do with her life and get away from a relationship with Mack that's not good for either of them when Fox comes into her life when they are closing things due to the approaching hurricane. He offers her a ride and she finally accepts. They end end up sharing a hotel and drinking and Fox figures her out pretty quick. They make the best out of their time in the hotel doing different things.

Harley finds work at Annette's Catch, on the island where she and her Gran used to live, and it's owned by Fox's mom and step-dad. Harley doesn't know how to do relationships and she keeps pushing Fox away. She finds a room with Blake and Tayia, which upsets Fox.

Racing comes into play and Mack comes back into the picture and rocks the boat and Woody, Fox's brother has some issues with racing that Fox is trying to help him fix. Life gets really exhilarating. The supporting characters have great roles and keep you hopping with stories too.

This is a non-stop, roll with it, don't put me down, what's gonna happen next, sexy, fun, comedy, drama, all wrapped into one, oh no, it's done?! Gotta have the next one!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Drive Me Wild, indeed..., February 26, 2015
By Shanoff Reads "Shanoff" (TX, US)
This review is from: Carolina Hurricane (Drive Me Wild Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

This novella definitely delivers Love in the Fast Lane and at times the characters difinitely Drove Me Wild.

I have really enjoyed Gwendolyn Grace's debut in the author world and I love that all of her stories are easy to connect with and get consumed by and Carolina Hurricane is just another one of her successes.

I am not a spoiler kind of person so I will give nothing away. I will however say that I really enjoyed both Harley and Fox's characters. I liked that Harley is such an independent and strong woman, but I was so glad when she finally realized that letting Fox in was the right thing to do. And man did those two have some serious sexual chemistry.

I like that they were both able to finally be open and honest with each other because once they were they had both changed for the better. Of course Fox was always pretty awesome but just for a bit he was kind of a jerk but it was understandable considering what he was wanting and what Harley was willing to give, but by the end of this novella they had their issues worked out and I am also hoping to get a little more of their story in book two.

If you like sexy sweet men, feisty women and serious sexual chemistry and a bit of fast cars in the mix then you should definitely check out this book.

Harley always runs! She doesn't let anyone close, that is until she meets Fox. She doesn't feel as if she deserves anything good and is content living her life out of her bag so she can skip at the first sign of trouble or real feelings.

Fox looks like the all-American sweetheart good boy and that is something Harley has never been interested in.....until now. When Fox picks up Harley off the side of a road when a hurricane is breathing down their neck, neither of them thought that they would end up having some really HOT Oral in a motel.

Harley is a bitch to Fox and thinks she will never see him again, but that is not the case. Soon Harley is fighting her feelings and trying to show Fox that underneath her crass exterior is the girl for him.

Fox is all about Family and calls him mum Mama (OMG!!!) He loves his fast cars just as much as he loves his family. He is not looking for anything serious and so is thrown for a six when he meets Harley!!! Now he just has to get her to see how good they could be together.

*** some pantie wetting, lip biting scenes that will have you wiggling <3 <3 <3 ***

This is the first book of a series by the FAB Gwendolyn Grace, and again she does not disappoint keeping you entertained the whole way through.

Carolina Hurricane by Gwendolyn Grace is the first book in her new series Drive Me Wild. A novella length novel that will leave you panting for more, it tells the story of Harley and Fox.

Harley is a jaded young woman who is skating by with a "could care less" attitude and no real destination or goal. Fox is the gorgeous young man who sees her standing in the rain (of an approaching hurricane) and is captivated by her in that moment.

He offers her a ride, she eventually accepts and their story begins to entwine.

Can Harley leave her past behind her where it belongs and make a fresh start in a new town? Can Fox break through Harley's walls and snarky demeanor to get to the true person underneath?

I read this in one sitting. I was captivated by how well their story was told so thoroughly and steadily. Often in shorter (novella) length books you will find it can be rushed and missing details, not so in this great read.

Carolina Hurricane is a the first book I've read by Gwendolyn Grace and I LOVED it! It was a fantastic, fast paced read.

Harley is an aggressive female with a huge chip on her shoulder. She's a sassy female with attitude that refuses to let anyone close to her, as she doesn't want to get hurt. She's convinced she's unworthy of anything or anyone good in her life. When fate steps in, she meets Fox at a crucial crossroad in her life. Fox is a loyal, family loving, down to earth man who rescues stranded females. He feels an instant connection with Harley, but she believes she will never be good enough for him. Will Fox be able to convince Harley she's more than just a bed warmer?

I freakin LOVED this story. Harley was a fantastic, albeit rebellious, heroine. She was strong, but flawed, and has a string of bad choices behind her that made her relatable. Gwendolyn Grace created great characters, as Harley captured my heart from the beginning. Her easy writing style made the story flow effortlessly. And OMG the love scenes were SMOKIN HOT! My chief complaint is that the book was too short because I NEEDED more! I can't wait to read more of this series!

4.5 Stars!

This was a great book. While a fast read, don't let that fool you as this book packed quite a punch and left me hanging and desperately wanting book two. I will admit this is the first book I have ever read by this author and it certainly won't be my last. This book was full of twists, turns, steam and had one hell of an ending.

This is Fox and Harley's story. Harley is seriously down on her luck. She is lost and has been for a while. But when a stranger appears and offers help, what she doesn't know is that he is going to shake up her life and change her life forever. Can they weather the storm ahead?

Fox and Harley... oh yes! Not only are their names super cute, they were amazing together. I loved the banter between these two.. tons of snorting and laugh out loud moments. I want to know more about them, but as with any serial series, everything is unfolded to us over time and books.

I highly recommend this book!

I completely fell in love with another novel by Gwendolyn Grace. Carolina Hurricane is one of those stories that just sticks with you long after you're finished with it.

Harley Jane Wyatt was such a pleasure to meet. Full of life and determination, her character is witty and you just never know what she's going to say next. Tough on the outside yet fragile on the inside (in my opinion), Harley's just looking for someone to give her a squeeze and tell her everything's going to be alright.

Fox. What can I say? The guy's hot as hell and knows exactly what Harley needs. Both are reluctant to open their hearts but when they act on their needs and desires, you've got one steamy romance.

The character development was supurb and storyline was phenomenal. Thumbs up for originality. I loved the racing and suped up cars too. It just makes Fox that much more irresistable. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

This was one of those stories where I was split on the two main characters, so that kind of divided my opinion on the overall story. Fox? Loved him-sweet, strong, a good guy with a bad boy hobby. Harley? She was a bit hard for me to warm up to, mostly due to her devil-may-care attitude (aka "I can be a bitch if I want to"). This made it hard for me to really become invested in her character, and also for me to really embrace the two of them as a couple.

The story itself was good, and the writing clear and focused. There's an interesting cast of secondary characters (I'm really interested in Blake's story!) to give support, and the story moves along at a quick pace. Also, be forewarned that you'll get a cliffhanger at the end to hook you for the next book in the series.

Carolina Hurricane is an entertaining start to the Drive Me Wild series, and I'm looking forward to Mack's story up next to see just how he'll be redeemed.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Harley wants nothing more than to start her life over. She is standing in the rain and a stranger asks if she needs a ride. She kindly accepts and little does she know that that one ride with a stranger will be everything that she needs to start to get her life in order. Fox kindly offers Harley a ride because he is a gentleman first. They both have to stay on this island in South Carolina. Harley wants to go back to the life she grew up knowing and this just happens to be where Fox lives. Fox is into street racing along with his brother. Fox is trying to get his brother on the straight and narrow and quit racing races he can not win. During one of the races Mack who is one of the best street racers around shows up. Mack also happens to be Harley's ex boyfriend. This makes for an interesting time. I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to reading more from Gwendolyn Grace.
