First, I would like to say that I really loved this series. I loved Ava and Cole. I felt their love through the pages and how strong Ava was and how fiercely she cared for Cole.

I was so excited to read Peters story and I couldn't wait to see how Sasha and Jeremy would fit into this series. Unfortunately it was a huge let down. I couldn't connect with Sasha and her "wokeness" in almost every conversation. It was like reading about a caricature off a show called woke-ish. Half the time she was wrong and the other half, she used it as a defense mechanism. I just didn't find it funny to call people you love colonizers...? Huh?

It was also disappointing that we get no real backstory about how Sasha and Jeremy feelings developed. People don't start shagging your best friend w/o prior physical attraction.. did Sasha ever see herself with Jeremy? Was she secreatly in love him or at least physically attracted to him prior. I just don't see how they're IN love with eachother and how Jeremy is bi but hasn't ever been with any other women or thought of girls that way. Its
not like Owen character (from the hacker series), where his character is developed and you know he really love Tiana and is confident in his sexuality. The immaturity level was through the roof in this book....

Also Jeremy trying to force his mom to start a relationship with her other kids is so wild (she needs therapy before she goes and accidentally does more damage then good).

This is why YA books arnt my favorite but I thought since they are in college....

The author should have waited on Peters story and he got more time enjoying adulthood before diving into a relationship with two teenagers... It was unrealistic and felt forced, which failed to deliver a true love story.

This would have been a DNF if Ava and Coles story wasn't part of this. Also most of this book was recap which was so annoying so I have to take a break from this series to see if I actually want to finish it. This is all on Kindle Unlimited.

Decently good

Out of all the books this was my least favorite, which for some reason I expected going in. It wasn't bad but it was great either it was a decently good book. I also think I've read so much romance that it's not the same anymore like I skip over scenes now so that's a factor. I expected more from the throuple. It is a fantasy of mine MMF and idk I wanted MORE I just don't know how so. It was interesting but it didn't fully draw me in🙌🏾 this book felt more or so like a filler piece. In the grand scheme it was unneeded but it did give further backstory to 2 characters. I think the reason I had trouble with Peter is because he was a child in several books. I still recommend this book and can recognize that me being burnt on romance is what mad it a 5/10 whereas if I I was fully into it'd maybe a 7/10

Untamed

Off the charts with personalities
Peter evolving along with Jeremy & Sasha
Cole still Cole & Ava adjusting (trying to tame….HA)
Kiara’s willing to fight to keep hers (Alex, Leo & baby)
Jackson (jury still out TRUSTED/NOT TRUSTED)
Elijah (acclimating to fatherhood from infantry)
Nick (taking it all in stride Nickolai, Elijah, Marshala)

Will the Oracle cause more mayhem?
Unknown Are Adding Up
Will living together create harmony or disaster?

Queen Smauggy knows how to entertain!

So happy i discovered Smauggy! Finally, a black queen author with excellent story telling skills with characters i want to read about, characters that i wanted to see in paranormal novels whose stories are well developed and not cheapened. On to the next read of my new favorite author!

This book is amazingly weird the characters are lovable possessive sexy aggressive psychopaths that fall in love with an amazing beautiful too good for them woman. This story makes you wonder if a situation like this could happen in another universe or in another lifetime or is it happening now. Mythical love stories

I love all of Smauggy's books but this one just hit in all the right places. I love her multiple point of views where you get a little insight into all the different relationships. Cole and Ava's story in this one had soo much tension and it was amazing. The overarching story is getting so intriguing I cannot wait to see what's going to happen.

Book 3 and 8

This is book 3 of the NOLA Witches arc but book 8 of the 12 book Marvelous Three Saga. In this book, the events of NOLA Witches book 2 are retold from the perspective of different supporting characters - Ava, Cole, and Peter.

Pro: It isn’t a direct retelling, as the events from NOLA Witches book 2 are only mentioned. The audience gets whole new storylines of supporting characters. It is refreshing in that sense.

Con: Smauggy continues to struggle with defining character point of view changes, as well as scene changes. One paragraph could be from Ava’s POV in a scene with Rhea and the very next paragraph is a scene of Sasha with Elijah and Alexander.

This arc (as well as the Hacker arc) are better written than the Sons of The Elite arc.

Note: I struggled to find a reading order but I think it is Damaged > Stuck in the Middle > Man's Weakness > Family Ties > 4Play > Hackers with(out) Remorse > Rise of the Phoenix > Untamed > Rogue Gone Ravage > The Unsettling > The Reckoning
