I enjoyed this beginner’s guide to meditation, and have dog-eared the pages with meditation instructions that sound doable to me right now. I started practicing meditation last year and found it to be very beneficial to increasing my peace of mind and decreasing my anxiety, but I got out of the habit. Hoping this book will inspire me to get back to it. I’ve started by meditating while trying to fall asleep at night and don’t get far because I fall asleep so quickly (which is normal for me). My next plan is to meditate sitting up during the hour before I go to bed, trying to have a more intentional experience. I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to stay asleep better (I wake often in the night), as well as have less anxiety dreams and more inner peace each day. I have a somewhat frantic mind many days. I’d definitely recommend this book if you’re interested in meditation.
This is such a brilliant and simple guide to meditation which I believe I will use again and again, so much so that I plan on buying a paper copy to own as well. I would thoroughly reccomend this book to anyone starting out on their zen journey.
