First Divinity Healers book.

Ariella was sent to the medical plane by her influential father for treatment. But when disaster strikes her home world she is left in the care of the Medical Supreme. He wants her firmly under his control and injects her with an illness which confines her to his home!!! When he decides the time has come he blackmails his son to come home and springs a nasty surprise on both Ariella and Sebastjan!

Sebastjan, may be the Medical Supremes son but he is nothing like his father. He stays as far away as possible from his political shenanigans. He was not the subservient pawn required by his father.Blackmailed into coming home he is stunned when his father tells him that to continue getting funding for his project he has to marry...Ariella. He is angry at his father and assumes that Ariella is like every other cloying woman who wants to marry a wealthy doctor.

But when they realise that are equally under the Supremes duplicitous thumb and they soon learn that together they are stronger!!!

Great new branch to the Divinity Series!!! Nice to see characters from Divinity Warriors being mentioned and makes it feel like a natural progression from the original books rather than a brand new series.

Sebastjan has baggage of his own and Linnea is stronger than she knows. The Medical Supreme is just the kind of bad guy to make your blood boil! Fab story!

What can I say except I LOVED this book! Reading this book reminds me why I love Michelle Pillow's writing. Lots of steamy sex and a great hero and heroine. No silly misunderstandings, Ariella didn't tell Sebastjian everything about her condition, but she was scared of the his father. Absolutely can't wait until the next book in the series. Again, I love Michelle Pillow's books!

I am a little short on time. I think it's great. Ariella goes to get cured but the most powerful doctor infects her with a deadly disease to trap her. He wants her for his son & wants her to know she does what he wants or she doesn't get her meds. His son doesn't want dad interfering in any part of his life. So, he isn't happy when he finds out he is about to be married after dinner. He makes a deal if he does this, his dad stays out of his life forever. She is told she is getting married right before she walks into the room. Again she does this or she dies. As things go on, a few days later they are at a portal to meet some doctors & she gets screened. When all the alarms go off about her being contaminated, he finds out what is going on. He wants to know what is wrong with his wife. His dad tells him to shut everything off & take her home. On the way home she tells him everything. Later he tells his dad to cure her & to leave his lab funding alone or he is going to make everything he has done public. He agrees. All she has to do is go through the portal, it will get rid of it, simple as that. They do & come back. When they get back they have things packed & ready to go to his lab. As they are leaving an alert goes off. His father is very ill, what he did to her seems to have mutated & gotten into him. He wants his son to stay & take his place. He doesn't want to he never did. He will try to help heal him but that is it. It's great!

I received this as an ARC for my honest opinion and I honestly loved it. I would definitely recommend that you read book. Ariella was sent to the medical plane by her parents for treatment of her bone disease, but when disaster strikes her home world she is left in the care of the Medical Supreme. The Medical Supreme wants Ariella firmly under his control so he decides to injects her with a deadly illness which confines her to his home. Then after awhile the Medical Supreme decides the time has come and it’s time to put his plan to action so he blackmails his son to come home and springs a nasty surprise on both Ariella and Sebastjan that they are getting married at dinner. Ariella has no choice but to go along with it because that’s the only way for her to continue to get the medicine that she needs to live. Sebastjan is nothing like his father he has stayed as far away as possible from his father’s political shenanigans as he can. But blackmailed into coming home he is stunned when his father tells him that to continue getting funding for his project he has to marry Ariella. He is angry at his father and assumes that Ariella is like every other woman who wants to marry a wealthy doctor. But once Sebastjan realizes that Ariella is equally under the Medical Supremes thumb as he is everything changes he goes to bat for. I love how this audible was presented. I definitely recommend it.

Ariella and Sebastjan’s Story . . .

Ariella’s father sent her to the unscrupulous Medical Supreme Walter for treatment and she must remain there because he will make sure of it. He injects her to cause a severe illness that will force her to remain under his continual care or he will withhold the medication she now needs. When he is ready to set his plan in motion, he uses the threat of removing the funding for his son Dr. Sebastjan Walter’s project at the research facility, where Sebastjan is the Director, unless he comes home immediately. This will effectively force Sebastjan to obey… but not for long. Sebastjan is informed by his father that he must marry Ariella, a stranger to him, as soon as they finish dinner if he expects his funding to continue. With no other choice, he agrees to comply, but stipulates his father must stay out of his life going forward. Will he blame Ariella for this forced marriage? Will they find a cure for Ariella’s illness? Can Sebastjan’s father’s hidden plan be stopped?

The narrator for the audiobook version is Rebecca Cook. She does an excellent job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like, bringing them to life for the listener. It helps to set the mood, familiarize us with the characters, and is a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.

Just Wrong on So Many Levels with Too Many Triggers

I usually enjoy the books and audiobooks by this author, but this one left me in tears, and not in the good “this book has all the feels” way. I didn't like how this heroine was held prisoner by a man, physically and mentally tormented and made to conform to a physical ideal with punishment if she did not obey. This man then forced her marriage to his son through further threats of violence. Then the said son had all sorts of wild imaginings about what a horrible person she must be to agree to the marriage and then treats her cruelly in bed...and she still had her vCard. I soooo dislike when heroines are turned on by men treating them badly. I don't know why authors perpetuate this myth so often in books. Ick. Both the father and son came across as monsters to me. Not my idea of romance. Most of the book, until I DNFed it about two-thirds through, seemed to be about the couple having intimate encounters. Not much of a story to note here, or at least not a good one. I expect a lot more from this author.

TRIGGERS: Imprisonment, intimate maltreatment, physical maltreatment (historical and future threat), violence (historical and future threat), forced body maintenance with punishment if not achieved (historical)

I received a promo code for this audiobook, but that did not affect my review.

Ariella's Keeper is a different type of story from what the author usually writes. Ariella's Keeper is about a different parallel universes existing. Ariella ended up on a world where medical reign supreme. Her parents sent her to this medical world to cure Ariella of her bone disease. She was cured but after her parents were killed in a pagan world, Ariella knew she could not return or else she will be executed. Being a ward of the Medical Supreme is more of being in prison.

Sebastjan Walter left home and hope to never see his controlling father who is Medical Supreme. If Sebastjan is to keep his research center from being de-funded, he would have to marry his father's ward, Ariella. Sebastjan soon realized that his assumptions of Ariella were all wrong.

This is more of Sebastjan and Ariella's trying to break free of the Medical Supreme's manipulation and interference into their lives. Not much of conflicts except secrets that Ariella is forced to keep by the Medical Supreme from Sebastjan.

I really don't know what to make of this series. It started out slow with Sebastjan and Ariella getting to know each other. Not much actions or conflicts in the story. I am willing to read the next book in the series to see if the series will go any where.

Nice story of a multi-dimension wedding except I needed more from the story.

The narrator, Rebecca Cook did a pretty good job especially with the male voices. There was only one female voice in this story.

I was given this audiobook by the author. I have decided to voluntary write an unbiased review of this book. I was not compensated or influenced in any way of writing this review.

The Divinity Healer series features a world with different dimensions that can be crossed through portals. Ariella’s father sent her to the medical plane to be cured of a life-long disease. When forced by tragedy to stay in this dimension, she becomes ward, actually prisoner, of the Medical Supreme. He plans to marry her to his son. This despicable man has a plan that will not only see them married, but ensure they stay in his home. At least he thinks he does. Can Sebastjan unravel his father’s scheme so that he and Ariella can leave the control of the Medical Supreme? This story is a bit different than other stories I have read or listened to by this author. The characters are interesting. I liked Ariella. She is a sweet girl who is being mistreated. Sebastjan is a smart, strong hero. His father, the villain, is a conceited toad. The story has a mystery that revolves around Ariella, a feuding father and son, and a steamy romance. An interesting, enjoyable beginning to the series. Rebecca Cook’s narration was quite good.

Ariella's Keeper is the first audiobook that I've listened to. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I enjoyed it. I listened to the story as I did yard work and went about my day. I found Ariella and Sebastian's story to be a unique and interesting tale. Sebastian's father, Medical Supreme Walter groomed Ariella for him, though she didn't know that. All she wanted was to be free of him. And Sebastian wanted Medical Supreme Walter to stop meddling in his life. When Medical Supreme Walter tells Sebastian that he is to wed Ariella, a woman he's never even met, he is against it, but uses it as a way to stop any future meddling. Little does he know that his new wife will please him.

I liked Ariella's keeper. Sebastian and Ariella were a good pairing and I enjoyed listening to their story. I was also glad to see Medical Supreme Walter taken down a notch. All in all, a quick story but an enjoyable one.

Ariella was brought to this plane to cure an ailment she’s lived with her entire life… a life with her family, fun, and happy memories. Now she’s alone on another plane — and a twist of fate has left her healthy, and unable to safely return home.

Sebastjan thinks he knows his father and the depths he’ll sink to, but it turns out there’s more to his father, and his machinations than even Sebastjan realized. Now he’s left trying to figure out how to put his foot down, what Ariella’s role in things is, and if Sebastjan is the principled healer he believes himself to be — or just his father’s son.

This done in one book has some interesting world building, and a compelling medical mystery, making for a page turner of a read.

Ariella is being held prisoner by Medical Supreme Walter. Supreme Walter injected Ariella with a deadly disease. If Ariella doesn't do what Supreme Walter he threatens to take her cure away from her. Supreme Walter is making his son, Sebastian Walter, marry Ariella. The two main characters are likeable, I really liked Ariella, she seems so sweet and of course innocent. Supreme Walter makes you wanna slap him silly. There's a few steamy parts but the getting to know you part is sweet. I'll be continuing on with this series, I'm sure it'll be good, all of the books by this author is. I recommend this book.

Ariella and Sebastjan

Ariella was a prisoner trying to find a way out from a tyrant of a captor. She believes she may have to give her virginity to him (ugh, she’s not please). But it turns out he intends for her to marry his son, Sebastjan. They both get married with out much (or any in her case) notice. But slowly they find things they like about each other, plus the of the charts sexual chemistry.

The medical supreme is a horrible man, seriously awful self centered man. You gotta love a truly evil villain to hate while reading.

This is the first book in the Divinity Healers Series, an alternate reality romance, part of the Divinity Universe. I like the cover. Arielle and Sebastjan’s story is original, steamy, intricate, and fast-paced. Arielle is a beautiful character, strong, and smart. Sebastjan is alpha, dominant, and protective. The world building is interesting, and intriguing. Rebecca Cook did an excellent and entertaining reading of the story. She has a beautiful voice, with a great range of voices. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Ariella and Sebastjan

This was a good start to the series with an interesting approach. I am looking forward to the additional books in the series.

Ariella and Sebastjan come together in marriage due to different manipulations by Medical Supreme Walter. While maneuvering this new marriage and finding their way as a couple secrets and obstacles come to light. This is a great short story with wonderful character development. They grew on me, and they grew as a couple. How they handle the Medical Supreme is great.

I hope the additional books in the series continue to grow this world.

This is the first story in the "Divinity Healers" series. It is a fairly short and quick read/listen that is somewhat intriguing and interesting. The story is a forced marriage between Ariella and Sebastjan. The marriage is sprung on them both right before it happens. She is trapped in a do or die situation and must marry him. He is tired of his father and agrees to the marriage only to get his dad out of his life. The story is good and the audio version was very enjoyable. I like the characters and thought the narrator did a good job bring them to life.

Ariella is a prisoner - trapped in the Supreme Healer’s house by a disease she was inoculated with by the Supreme himself and which requires repeated treatments, otherwise the result is painful and fatal. Sebastian is Supreme Healer Walter’s son who is forced to marry Ariella. What starts as a strong-arm-arranged-marriage, turns into love, mixed with inter dimensional travel and plenty of spice. Rebecca Cook did a fantastic job bringing this story to life in my ears, and I truly enjoyed this wild ride.

This is a spin off series from the Divinity Warriors but it does stand alone. You don’t need the previous series (but it’s a great series too). This is a fast just beyond novella length story that introduces two characters thrown into marriage with different backgrounds, different expectations and no choices. They come from literally different worlds but need to make a future together. Good story, characters trying to make the best of their situation and enough angst to have them work together to build their lives.

I thought there would be some confusion in the story with it being related to alternative realities. However It's pretty straightforward and easy to understand. I had a good time reading this book, I don't really get into the alternative realities stuff so this was my first time reading one of these books.

I look forward to reading book 2 in the series. I loved the main characters and I really liked the storyline. I will say if your expecting a slow burn this really isn't one. The romance happens pretty quick.
If you like a corrupted doctor in your story than this is for you.

Michelle Pillow is a wonderful storyteller that draws you into her world of fiction. This is a short story, but I did not feel like I was missing out on anything. Ariella came for a cure but what she got was so much more. The doctor she is to see keeps her a prisoner, threatening to let her die but will give her the cure only when she obeys him. Now she has just married Sebastian, the doctor's son and her only hope of survival. This is a romantic love story with a happy ending.

Ariella's Keeper is the first book in the Divinity Healers Series by Michelle M. Pillow, an interdimensional world and part of the Divinity Universe. Arielle is a beautiful, strong, and smart woman; Sebastjan is a dominant alpha, protective both trapped by a manipulative zealot. The world building is intriguing and creative. Rebecca Cook does an excellent job voicing the story. I'm looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Welcome to a alternative world, filled with state of the art computerized, medical devices and portals to different worlds. This was a quick and interesting read. Ariella and Sebastjan must abide by a lunatic in order to gain their freedom and live their own lives.
This was a steamy sci-fi romance. While it was a bit of sci-fi it wasn’t over the top and very easy to follow. The narrator did a great performance and kept me enthralled.

Michelle M. Pillow uses her classic writing style to bring us the start of another series that is shaping up to be fantastic. The characters were well written and the story line kept me engaged. The narrator did a first rate job of bringing this book to life. The combination made this a delight to read and/or listen to,

Loved the characters and this new “world”

After reading the Divinity Warriors this “Plane” is a bit of culture shock, but very intriguing. At first the story is a bit sad. When Sebastjan comes into Ariella’s life it gets much better. I was impressed with the world building and loved going back to the Staria plane. The sexy times were smoking and the falling in love story heartwarming.

I really enjoyed this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Sebastjan and Ariella. I thought the two of them made a great match in spite of how them came to be together. I listened to this in audiobook narrated by Rebecca Cook. I thought she did a great job bringing these characters to life. I've listened to her work before and really enjoyed it. I would listen to the next book.

What a fun alternate universe story with a forced marriage and some crazy twist to keep you guessing. Michelle always has such vivid world and different world in her books. This one is no exception and I just wanted to hug Ariella. Short and fun and I absolutely loved the narrator. I was just obsessed from her first minute!

Sci-Fi Fun and Rimance

As with all this authors books, I thoroughly enjoyed this. Sci-fi with some plenty of steam and some really sweet parts where the newlyweds get to know and trust each other. A short, enjoyable novella which didn’t include a lot of detail, hence the 4 stars. I would love though to read more about this world.

spin off from Divinity Warriors

We visit the sterile medical plane before with Lilith (book 1) and Karre (book 4). Our characters are of the medical plane where controlled and restricted ward of the Medical Supreme Walter is manipulated into marriage to his son, Dr Sebjastian Walter. Ariella isn’t a bimbo and I like her cleverness. Good compliment to the main series.

I found this to be an interesting story, a bit of a different approach. It has parental manipulation, meddling, and a bit more diabolical of making someone sick to control her. He coerced his son into marrying the girl he “groomed” to be the perfect wife. However, the tables turn and it has a HEA.

Like that this has a bit of a futuristic feel to the story, and there’s a nice connection between Seb and Ari. Not huge on arranged marriage scenarios, but liked how the feelings develop between them. Both have to get their strength to stand up for themselves against Seb’s not so great father. It’s nice that they now have an ally in each other. A quick, entertaining read with some steam!
