Fun, entertaining little tease! I'm not a huge fan of prequel series, but this seems like it'll be a fun one. I believe this series will follow Nyx and Darius, the parents of Ann from the Rogues of Magic series. Fae Nyx is pretty much a prisoner to a man that enslaves girls that show signs of magic. Nyx has powers; things like hearing thoughts, influencing others, and she can make people forget, but Nyx is still unaware of what she truly is. There's been lots of lies and secrets going on. Nyx is in for a major surprise when she tries to buy something from her usual trading person; something majorly dark is out to take out Nyx and it doesn't care if others get in its way. Nyx finds herself in some majorly dangerous positions, but it looks like she may have some help along the way. Things are looking very dire for Nyx! Excited to read the next book!
Amazingly, this short prequel does a great job bringing these characters alive and setting up what promises to be an interesting and exciting series! This tale gives you the background to what I believe will be two integral characters that will have to endure the challenges ahead of them in order to fight against the evil that threatens all. What kind of epic tale would this be if we weren’t fighting evil after all ! Anyways, as a prequel, this author did a commendable job giving us all the necessary elements to hook a readers interest! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
In the right hands, magic can do good, but it seems there are more people keen to abuse their own or other people’s powers. There’s just a tantalising hint of what Nyx might be capable of, I’m sure that will develop in further stories. There’s a few good guys here but it looks like they (and almost everybody else) are in for a lot of trouble if they can’t overthrow the villains, especially since it looks like they soon to get some really scary back up from who knows where. This is a great introduction to The Andovia Chronicles, just as it gets going, it’s time for book two!
This prequel with characters from the rogues of magic series is an excellent beginning to the Andovia Chronicles. This series that is focusing on Ann's parents, Darius and Nyx, is a great short read with plenty of danger, mystery, and suspense that will have you hooked from beginning to end. There rocky first meeting and unexpected ending will definitely have you coming back for more. I was thoroughly entertained and can't wait to read what happens next.
This short prequel is an amazing story. It is introduces Nix and Darius and put them in the same area as things start to happen. It had some action and danger and a great introduction to the characters and the situation that seems to be beginning and could harm the realms. Just a fun read that was hard to put down. I liked it and cannot wait to see what happens next.
Having read the Rogues of Magic series, this short novella puts a bit of background on two characters who were very important to the series: Darius and Nyx. The story itself was short, sweet and to the point, but really keeps you at the edge of your seat toward the end, making you want to know more.
Super short teaser prequel for the new Andovia Chronicles series. This introduces Nyx, who is much different than what I expected from Shand's Rogues of Magic series. I am pleasantly surprised and ready to continue with this series.
Awesome and fun little prequel! Quick read. The characters and setting were done nicely and was able to picture myself there with them! With magic and mystery. Keeps you guessing. I do recommend reading this!
Great teaser! I loved the glimpses into each character and the potential this story left is at- so many directions it could go! Looking forward to the next installment!
Really good novella. The right amount of Mystery and intrigue to keep you guessing. I’m looking forward to reading the series! I recommend to fantasy and’s fae lovers.
