I’m always eager to dive into new supernatural worlds, desperate to see what new twists an author is going to provide. When it comes to Alexa Whitewolf, I know I’m always going to get something unique that will have me hooked throughout.

When it comes to the Moonligh Rogues series, readers are given all the fun of your classic werewolf story but with lots of unique twists. It’s more than your standard werewolves, this series offers a little something from various mythologies. Each detail pulls you in deeper, introducing you to a world you will want a lot more of.

Fortunately, Moonlight Rogues is just the start and there are spin-offs that give readers a chance to explore the larger universe.

Alexa Whitewolf’s “Moonlight Rogues” is an excellent paranormal shifter series, where elements of paranormal fantasy mix, romance and shifter lore that brings the whole genre to a whole new level by delving into real mythology, which not only give the characters a credible background but offers a whole new set of information based in real traditional history.

Alexa Whitewolf has a very smooth writing style that brings the story effortlessly forward and captivates the reader from the very first chapter on. This Boxset compiles all four full-length books in the series as well as a short prequel into a single volume of over 1000 pages of paranormal werewolf delight. Each book focusses into one of the male main characters in the series and incorporates the mythological lore of that character’s provenance into the action. All four books are wonderful stories, that apart from relating the MC story, offers some glimpses on the relationship of each of the characters which each other, and pays homage to their friendship and the fact that the four guys are pack and at such true family.

Origins (Moonlight Rogues Prequel)
The book explores the background story of the four main characters in the series, Lucas, Dom, Finn and Tristan, before the meet each other in the States. These four stories can be read at any time in the series, as a proper prequel, after enjoying the full-length books (makes for a fabulous dessert!), and of course in between books to gain insight into each of the characters, before delving into the full-length story of each given character. “Origins” is a real treat, for both fans of the series, and newcomers that would like to find out more about the Moonlight Rogues series, before committing to the full-length books 😉

First to Fall (Moonlight Rogues #1)
The first book in the series tells the story of Dominic (Dom) and Lucrezia (Luz) from both characters POV. Dominic Kosta’s childhood in an orphanage in Transylvania, has let some open wounds in his spirit. Despite being adopted by an American couple and having a nice enough upbringing, Dom’s past plays an important part in his life and story and Alexa Whitewolf makes an excellent job in interweaving real Carpathian mythology and fiction elements into a very interesting first story in the series that immediately makes appetite for more. The plot mixes some very funny situations with serious thriller elements, which balance the story and makes for a highly satisfying book. Dom romantic interest in Luz is so heartfelt at all times, despite his tendency to find solutions that keep putting a smile on our faces. The love triangle is a such a joy to watch, while we keep rooting for Dom in spite of everything else. The pack/family are wonderful rendered and the remaining three guys (Tristan, Finn and Lucas) an interesting lot, we want to know more about…. Luckily there is a book dedicated to each of them in the series 😊

Second to Surrender (Moonlight Rogues #2)
The second book in the series focuses on Tristan Cayne character, a former special ops military guy, who has seen more than his share of bad situations and despair during his time in service, including his own personal demons, the monsters he seems not to be able to outrun. Looking for a peaceful life, Tristan moves to Rockland Creek, his wish goes out in bang as the realizes that his monsters are not the stuff of his nightmares but in fact very real, and under the charge of Dom, a member of his own pack. An to make things even more complicating, Daniela DaSilva comes to town asking for his help, making Tristan resolution to renounce to love somehow obsolete. The plot evolves fast into a full-blown action-packed story that offers romance, internal pack struggles, a shifter war and even dragons, all of that perfectly coherent with the story and sprinkled with elements of Brazilian mythology and folklore. A very good story and… don’t disregard the dragons, they too will have a story to tell in the future

Third to tumble (Moonlight Rogues #3)
This is Finn story and I muss confess that I am very partial to Finn’s story, he is Irish after all😉 and Alexa Whitewolf, true to her writing style makes an excellent job of interlacing Celtic myth and lore into Finn background story. Finn is also the most level-header and collected of all the four guys, a stickler for the rules who is not about to let a couple of wolf hormones to control his life… until Elle comes along and Finn finds himself at the mercy of his wolf desire and tumble down for a girl, who doesn’t even wants to give him the time of the day. Elle may acknowledge Finn’s charm (Irish remember 😊), but she is wary of the consequences, after all there is some things in her life that would better let unearth. But as both Finn and Elle struggle to keep apart, Karma has a mind of her own, and whatever Karma want, Karma gets… its Karma after all. This a wonderful story full of unexpected turns, and – even if I just confessed to my bias – the best and twisted of them all.

Last to Love (Moonlight Rogues #4)
Finally, we get to know Lucas story in depth, Lucas the pack Alpha, for whom every member in the pack comes first, even if that means putting himself last. The pack is what it matters, and love is just for fools, right? right??? After seeing his pack members falling like puppies, there is not way Lucas would ever let himself be that vulnerable, appear that fool, seriously the guy has everything worked out already… and then Monica appears with the task to bring him back to his cool father’s pack, and only for that he should despise her… but he just can’t. Monica and Lucas go together like fire and timber, despite Monica’s good laid plans and Lucas’ conviction about love, their chemistry and attraction is immediate, and they can do absolutely nothing against. The strongest fall hardest, and even harder if they fall last. Lucas’ Italian background offers – through the addiction of lore and myth - new insights into Lucas character. An excellent conclusion to an already amazing series.

Alexa Whitewolf writing style is excellent, crisp and entertaining, with a very well-crafted world and wonderful characters and an abundance of real myth and folklore elements that give each of the characters a highly interesting background story without overshadowing the action and romance in the stories. A clear recommendation to all shifter fans!

This is one of the BEST werewolf series out there!! It has more than one kind of werewolf, from different parts of the world, and you learn about each one as they fall in love. The romance is so swoon worthy and steamy!! There are other mystical beings too, besides the werewolves. There’s witches, dragons and so more! I don’t want to give too much away. But this series starts the roll on some spin-off series!! You’ll be hooked in no time!!

Awesome series, that made me fall in love with werewolfs. Each book follows a different member of the pack, as they find their mate.

Love the mythology of the series, while in every book there is a different origin to the werewolf, it all comes together in the end.

#1
First of all, I have to admit I'm not the biggest fan of werewolves (maybe I just haven't read the right book idk). It takes just one book to change your mind right? First to Fall might just be the one to do it. I mean the book is so addicting, I started reading late at night and couldn't stop till the end (I seriously have to stop doing that...).

The storyline, the characters, the werewolves ... It's all soo good. And my favorite part was the mythology, it's unique, something I haven't read about a lot or any, even though is very close to where I come from. It created a perfect backdrop for the story.

I also love the romance, everything Dominic did to convince her to love him, the way he was there for her, her friend her support, he is just the sweetest... and hottest. :)

It's such an amazing book, that you have to read from first to the last page in one go because it's totally un-put-downable.

#2
I love this series so much. :)

In a small town, there is a car repair shop, where 4 guys work. They are all wolves. It’s run by Lucas, the pack leader. My favorite part is, that while they are all wolves, they are not the same, each comes from a different part of the world, based on different mythology and somehow they all found a way to this town. :)

The second book in the series follows Tristan. He used to be a soldier and the horrors he endures still follow him around. He suffers from PTSD and being in his head is very eye-opening. That is a hard way to live.

His life gets a lot more complicated when Daniela comes back to his life. They grew up together in Brasil. He dated her twin. So her mere presence brings out a lot of bad memories.
Now she is on the run, she runs to him in search of protection.

Their road to happily ever after is very bumpy and I loved reading it! :)

#3
This was the story I was waiting for. :) Finn is my favorite of the four guys and I was very intrigued by his story (and not disappointed. :)) It’s full of tension and mythology and magical creature. The stakes are higher, the story more complex and the intensity is at the max. :)

Finn is usually the rational one, the one that keeps his cool. Until he is around Elle, she makes him lose his head every time he is around her. And when her own heritage puts her in harm's way, he will be there to protect her.

It’s the best so far!

#4
It’s bittersweet to read the last book in the series. Last to Love bring the story of four shifters to an epic conclusion. :)

It’s Lucas’s turn to fall in love. Monica was sent by his father, to bring him back.
He certainly didn't expect him to like her so much. After his mother and brother died, he closed himself off to love. And now she comes, sturring all those long-buried feelings.
She took the job in exchange for freedom. It’s supposed to be an easy job. Flirt, lie, and convince him to come back. But she ends up falling for him.

Their relationship starts with lies, and it takes a long time for trust to form.
But by then his father is done waiting, he sends people after him and takes him back home. He is held prisoner and finally finds out his true destiny and what his father wants for him.

It’s time for him to take things into his own hands.

I love his story, there is so much mythology & I loved it. :)

Dominic’s Story: A wonderful work full of many twists and turns. I did struggle at first getting into the work and it did take a bit to understand what was going on with the lore behind the werewolves. The characters were great and watching them grow as the events unfolded over the story drew me in. I found myself eagerly reading up the words to find what happens next.

Tristan’s Story: Loved this just as much as the first one. The emotions, the plot twists, the secrets, the end, it was fantastic. The author makes it really easy to connect to the character and understand what they are going through. It was hard to pick up because once I started reading I didn’t want to stop and move on with activities I needed to do, including going to bed.

Origins: Reading the origins of each character was a great window to the life they lived and how they got to meeting each other. I found it very informative on the actions of each character in their present state, making me more understanding of them.

Finn’s Story: So happy that much of the chaos that occurred over the previous two books gets tied up and put away in this work. The characters were great and there were twists and turns, you don’t see coming making this a great work. The growth of the characters was fantastic.

Lucas’s Story: This was a great finale to this set. We see everything come full circle from the origins to the end of an empire in this story. So many unanswered questions get answered and the happy endings are given for all the main characters. I enjoyed this work and saw great growth in the characters, especially Lucas coming to terms with everything in his past.

I give this set a five out of five stars. It was great to have all the books in one place, making it easier to go from one to the next. I couldn’t put it down once I started one book in the set. The author has a great way of writing so the reader understands the ups and downs the characters are experiencing along with writing a fantastic plot that is individual to each story but encompasses the series as a whole. I am looking forward to reading the spin off duet.

I found this book discounted on Amazon via BookBub; this is my honest review 3.8 stars - minus one star for editing.
-The book has a bit of everything: fantasy, romance, mystery, suspense, magic, a bit of occult, mythology, etc. It's also full of yucky details "Bodies of innocent villagers littered the ground, gutted like fish, big holes where their organs had been."
-The pace is fast and keeps you going right up to the end.
-Each man comes from a different country and their wolf is also different from the other ones. Who knew werewolves had different breeds? I'm pretty sure their mate comes from the same country as them.
-I was really surprised when I realized that all the men, plus Dani, were all Alphas. Not a good mix ... Talk about a massive dose of testosterone!
-Let's talk about Lucas. Lucas' barbarian ways doesn't bring respect. He's not a good alpha and resolves matters with violence. It brings fury at the way he's acting, especially when he's a total jerk about the soulmate bond. He also doesn't take decisions for the good of the pack but for himself.
-Editing definitely needs another serious pass. Maybe the author was pressed for time but it doesn't mean the reader has to pay for that. Minus one star.
-Some of the editing: they all move to Dom's truck, then he pulls the car to a stop. The bakery is two blocks away, then it's just next door. She's wearing a heavy sweater but Lucas pulls her shirt off. They can hear each other in human form, then they can't.
-I first read book 1 "First to Fall", then I went to Origins Dominic. Then Origins Tristan and proceeded with book 2 "Second to Surrender", and so on. The Origins brings more details for each man and their past. I liked it better when I read the past first, then the present/future. I got a better grip on them.
-Dominic and Lucrezia's story touched me more and I'm glad for their decision at the end of the book. I wanted that but wasn't expecting it. A bit unbelievable: Luz admits reading PRN but doesn't know what Dom means when he's talking about mating her.

First To Fall
I am not a fan of Romance stories however, having said that, Alexa knows how to weave a story around the 'romantic/erotic' bits to keep you reading late into the night. The characters themselves are intriguing. All have their own back stories which I am looking forward to discovering.

Second To Surrender
Dom was the first of the pack to fall when Luz walked into his life. Tristan is next when Danni comes seeking protection from a crazed brother. This series just keeps getting better.

Moonlight Rogues: Origins
This tells the back stories of the four main characters in this series - Lucas, Dominic, Finn and Tristan. Three are Alpha's in their own right whilst one was destined to be the mate of an Alpha.

Third To Tumble
It's Finn's turn now and boy, does he ever tumble! This is one hell of a rollercoaster of a ride. Never a dull moment.

Last To Love
Lucas finally gave in and admitted he was in love but, oh my, what a gambit of emotions before he did. I look forward to reading more about the lives of Lucas, Dominic, Finn and Tristan and their very well matched mates.
Happy reading. Annemarie

A fantastic shifter romance boxset of the completed series, this was my first time reading any books by Alexa Whitewolf and I was absolutely captivated throughout all the stories. Each story follows one of the hot alpha members of the pack as they fall in love with their mates, as well as the collection of short stories detailing their origins. Each story has a feisty female lead character and the stories are filled with romance, love, mystery, intrigue, action, suspense and plenty of twists and turns. After this brilliant introduction to the amazing author Alexa Whitewolf, I will definitely be reading more of her books.

I found the mixture of so many seamlessly intergrated, unlike some I have read in the past. These stories seem cohesive, as you inter this new word created.
